View Full Details of Helping Hands Home Care (Exeter)My Father is 92 and living alone in a rural situation and Helping Hands visit him every morning to make toast and drinks then various cleaning and ironing duties. They prompt him to wash and clean teeth during there visit. Arranging the above care was simple and easy as the Admin team are so very aware of the needs of the elderly. The carers who visited Dad were kind caring and so lovely with him. With Helping Hands I felt Dad's general health improved. I was also aware that he had quality carers and he enjoyed there visits.
I am extremely happy with the care and support I received from Helping Hands (Exeter). I cannot fault the carers or office staff. The carers are empathetic, kind, friendly, efficient, helpful, respectful and go out of their way to do extra tasks for me. I do like having the same regular carers because they know what to do quickly and efficiently, without having to constantly check (and the office staff do try to arrange this). Some of the newer younger carers do not multi task and so their visit does not work as well (but they will learn in time). They almost always arrive on time (even with Exeter's chaotic traffic). The office staff are equally helpful and attend to requests quickly and efficiently and without a fuss. I would certainly recommend Helping Hands to anyone as the best care agency in Exeter.
The help that my mum received was great. The support and staff were fantastic and the help was gratefully appreciated by all family members. I would recommend Helping Hands to any needing care at home.
I've had no problems to date and am more than happy with the service.
I would definitely recommend Helping Hands Home Care to anyone looking for a Care Provider, I have found all the staff to be extremely caring and friendly, and when needed in an emergency have gone above and beyond to help. We were very pleased with the service provided to dad. Carers were efficient and friendly and he enjoyed their visits and care provided. Communication was clear and timely. It enabled him to stay in his own home to the very end as he had wished.
All the carers were cheerful and kind to Dad, always polite and asked if there was anything else they could do. They always arrived on time (once they found our remote location) and told us in advance if the rota changed due to staff absence. I would recommend this company.
I'm very happy with the Helping Hands Home Care service. I am kept well informed and the staff arrive promptly and are kind and encouraging. My goal is to be fully independent by end December so that I can manage confidently on my own and I know they will all help me achieve this. NB: I seem to get duplicated emails about rotas and invoices.

This company provides an excellent service. All the carers sent to me were very caring, respectful and happy in their work. Despite the long hours they have to work. Also, they appear to be happy with their employers. The office is efficient, my calls are always answered thoroughly and any required action is completed without fuss.

There have been occasions when visits have been time inconveniently but we feel you do this to meet my mother's requirements where possible. I would have awarded excellent for the staff but when new carers come they do not always follow the task list and in some cases have not even read it.
Very useful and helpful, will do anything asked of them. I have been lucky to be allocated the same lady for my twice-weekly visits and am hoping to keep her for the duration.
I am very happy with all the help I get from my carers. They are kind, thoughtful, willing, cheerful and always punctual.
I would like to thank mum's new care provider for taking wonderful care of her. Mum who has Alzheimer’s needs constant help. Having not previously met my mum or visited the house her professionalism in offering help, support and providing commitment and dedication gave my mum the expert support she needs on a daily basis. It was a long stint from 0800-1900 for a first visit and on arriving home I found my mum to be happy, smiley and responsive at a time when her needs are becoming more challenging on a weekly basis. Any concerns I had about leaving my mum for a period of time were reduced and as a new user of this excellent service I will be requiring Helping Hands to continue to support each week initially for two days but no doubt more at times when my routine changes and I can call upon excellent carers to provide hourly assistance. I would highly recommend the services provided to anyone who cares for a loved one and needs that extra help when faced with future challenges.
Helping Hands have been amazing in setting up care for my elderly mother. Nothing is too much trouble and they are always sympathetic and understanding. The carers are all kind and considerate and it is a huge relief to know Mum is in safe hands.
Helping Hands Exeter really care about the people they look after. We have been so impressed with every step of this difficult process and nothing has been too much trouble. My elderly Mum is flourishing with their care. She's more energetic, cheerful, healthy and looks forward to every day. It means she can stay at home with us. Mum says that she doesn't have 'carers' but 'friends'. I highly recommend them.
