View Full Details of Lotus Home Care HuddersfieldAll new carers should go with others for at least a solid week. There is one young girl who doesn't like dealing with men that more often than not doesn't do anything but stand around fiddling with her phone leaving the other carer to do everything else. Carers need much more training, not just dumped in at the deep end. Lotus need to stop putting extra clients onto carers at a moment's notice as this is very unfair to long-standing current clients. Also if the carers are going to be running quite late then it should be the office's job to inform the client as the carers are far too busy to do this. Apart from one incident which has been dealt with most of the carers do a decent job with the odd little mistake which I tend to comment on. Sometimes they don't always let me know if they need me to order anything and I only find out when they inform me it has run out. I now make sure that I keep a stock of certain items, some items take a week to arrive others three days.
We receive care from Lotus Home Care and the carers go above and beyond. They come in, are very friendly and always offer my nanna a cup of tea and make her feel at ease. They also help ensure she remains independent and doing things for her self.
I wish to commend two of your carers for the way they both handled the situation with my dad and the ambulance service on 22nd November. They were both courteous and friendly and ensured my dad was clean and comfortable before the ambulance staff put him onto the stretcher. They also waited until my dad was out of the property, due to the access issues with the property. Such professionalism and caring nature is rare nowadays, they are both an asset to your organisation for going the extra mile when required. Thank you.
I have been satisfied with all staff and carers who have always treated my husband with respect and dignity.
Mum has a good service from core regular staff who have formed nice relationships with her and understand her needs. Some frustration when inexperienced or irregular staff do no look for/seek out the needs such as changing mum's bed/putting a wash load on, despite a note left on the front of the blue file. Overall very happy.
We have been with Lotus Home Care Huddersfield for 16 months and currently it is the best service that we have had. Good management, care and consideration and timely visits that vary, depending on Dad's circumstances. This is excellent. As a relative of a poorly man I feel confident with the care that Dad gets.
The Lotus staff have rarely attended late. They have shown respect for their patient and our home. They have worked efficiently and in a caring and friendly manner, always departing leaving the premises as they found them.
We are basically satisfied with the service received. In the main most carers are pleasant and a couple go further to provide an excellent service. Whilst I understand that times of arrivals cannot be exact as problems and delays often occur due to the nature of the business. I would like to be informed promptly when delays have been identified. I would also like a rota so I can plan how to care for my mother around expected.
Generally satisfactory. However, a high turnover of staff leads to problems such as scheduling and timekeeping. Lack of feedback when reporting problems via telephone. Some carers are excellent, some are poor. A perceived lack of staff training.
