View Full Details of SureCare (Hertfordshire)I am very glad that I found SureCare. The manager is excellent, always ensure that I get my regular care at the appropriate time is accessible and helpful. The carers are all very professional, and I am treated with dignity. I feel that I am treated as an individual, in addition, to the practical care they provide. I always feel more positive and upbeat after their visits. I have already recommended SureCare to other people.
My first experience with SureCare has been excellent. Management has generally informed me of changes in schedule staff and replacement carers have been good as well informed me. All carers have sought to give me all the help I need or asked for. Timekeeping is good, given difficulties imposed by traffic and road conditions. Information about me is available readily, and management is on-hand for support. All staff coped well with any crisis that arose.
I have been very happy with the carers over the years. I think this is the third time I have used SureCare, and I recommend it to other people. Thank you for all your kindness.
2 Carers split the time between then from 9.30 am to 2 pm. They sit with my husband who has dementia. He gets on well with them and treats them as friends. They are always cheerful and friendly. They engage my husband with conversation when he is not asleep and have used photos to bring out memories.
The carers look after my mother giving medication, food, cleaning and most importantly sit and talk with my mother and listen.
My husband has late-stage Parkinson's Disease - an extremely complex condition which fluctuates day by day, even hour by hour. I was referred to SureCare in June 2019 by our Hospital care services broker and was pleased that the team worked hard and at speed to provide expert, personalised and compassionate care support. My husband was assessed swiftly but thoroughly, at home by a manager when he was discharged and we quickly had a carer in place, who quickly demonstrated her level of intelligence, skill and experience. I picked up lots of useful, practical tips just from watching her that I now use when looking after him on my own. My husband had another prolonged hospital stay during late August/early September and I was impressed that the SureCare team monitored his progress - even sending a manager to hospital to see him - and swiftly reassessed him after discharge to determine his new care needs, reinstating our regular carer, reducing my stress. Bravo, SureCare!
Since Nov 19 my elderly mother has had nine carers from SureCare. All of them have been gentle and considerate of her age and physical frailty. Generally, I am pleased with the staff from SureCare. Sometimes the carer has struggled to reach us at the appointed time but this is because of insufficient time allocated between visits. That is my only comment.
Our father was in the hospital and we needed an agency to start within 48 hours. SureCare were able to come out and assess over the weekend and help get care in place for us. We have previously used a company that had lots of different staff, but they gave us 1 person until they found a small team
We were the first clients for this company. They have been very happy to take my £2000 a month for 16 hours a week of care. There have been missed visits. Phone calls asking me to help out as they couldn't cover and staff leaving before their time was complete! Now they have said they can't care for my mum as we live too far away and told me they have found another company to take over. This company are even further away than Surecare. I'm am disgusted and disappointed with them and now have to find a decent company who won't let my poor mum down. Avoid this company!
I used SureCare (Hertfordshire) to help me care for my mother when she came out of hospital prior to going into a care home. All the people that I met through the organisation were very kind, caring and professional. We had the same regular carers, all of which were introduced to us, in person, by one of the managers before they began their caring duties. My mother was always treated with kindness and dignity and there was also a strong emphasis placed on rehabilitation in order to enable clients to become as independent as possible. I found that the advice that I gained from SureCare (Hertfordshire) to be very beneficial and helped me to manage following my mother's discharge from hospital.
I am grateful to all the Carers whose great support and care got me back to independence once more. It was an experience I really needed at that time and was grateful for. As I recovered, I really looked forward to their visits. They were all so cheerful, it made a great start and ending to each day. I must say, I felt quite bereft when no one came with their usual 'good morning' spiel. Please say a huge 'thank you' to them all and wish them all the best in their caring.
First class, tailored care from a well managed caring group of people. Nothing was too much trouble.
