View Full Details of Caremark Cheltenham, Gloucester & TewkesburyLike anywhere, some carers are more outgoing than others but they all do the job of caring extremely well. Many of them are happy to do more than they need, and build up a good and trusting relationship.
The only chores the carers carry out are making coffe/tea during their visits, plus washing up and sitting on my sofa doing their reports on their phone. All other duties are carried out by myself with my wife washing, laundry, dressing, and grooming hair, etc.
I don't understand why you have to have so many of your team in one area. I think the times the carers come out are late as that means my uncle is waiting around, I think time-wise, it is being wasted. Don't get me wrong your staff are friendly but I just think time management could be better and my uncle and staff would know what they are doing at what time.
My carer is efficient, kind, friendly, and thoughtful. She is always on time and picks up after me without being asked!
I have been impressed by the standard of care given to me by your carers. Four of them have been excellent, knowing exactly what I need without me having to ask, the others have been good. They have treated me with dignity, kindness and I feel they are trustworthy which to me is very important as I protect my privacy. I am hoping I wont need care indefinitely, but if I need care in the future I will definitely be registering with Caremark.
Care was generally very good, friendly, and caring although initially had to prompt the carers to properly wash and brush the teeth of my wife. Although this was included in the care package. Although female carers were requested, there were in few occasions where male-only carers attended, but this was not considered a problem.
I've been using Caremark for three months now and I find them to be a great help. The staff are friendly and happy to help. They are good value for money and very reliable. I could not be happier.
Initially, it was agreed that there would be four visits per week. I instructed the office that two visits per week would be sufficient. However, carers were still sent on days contrary to my instruction and you have billed for more visits, which I am now disputing. Carers on the incorrect days were sent away and it took two months for this to be acknowledged, hence the score given for management.
Very supportive community care team. Always professional, friendly, always show sympathy, dignity and compassion. Always make time for Dad. Also, supportive to Dad's family. Excellent care, would highly recommend Caremark. Only issue raised was IT issue with medication and potential hazard highlighted, not carers fault, more technical issue, which was quickly resolved with no harm caused.
Really good, always prompt and happy to help with a positive attitude. Life changing.
I like the fact that my mum gets seen three times a day to see that she is okay, but I wish there was more cleaning done. I know that half an hour isn't long, but ten minutes of cleaning every visit isn't too much to ask. Every time we visit my mum, I clear up and my partner does too. She isn't impressed with the state of the house, especially the kitchen and toilet/shower room.
An excellent team of carers but I am baffled by the problems of supplying the materials they need to work - the commodity used and suppliers namely etc. When the timetable is followed up - carer times are adjusted but customers are not informed, not all staff wear name tags. Office number/contact not available.
On being taken on as a client and getting used to the way the carers work, there was some concern about the care but found that once the carers got used to you, the rapport between client and carer built up and good relationships were forthcoming. The management side is excellent, just a phone call away if you need them.
All the helpers have been not only helpful but pleasant and kind and are ready to do whenever I need help.
As reported to a member of staff recently; 1) Mum prefers female carers and more consistency of familiar faces. 2) Kitchen, specifically the fridge and microwave has been left dirty. 3) Floors vacuumed. 4) Some carers spend too much time on their mobile phones.
Most carers only stay half an hour or less. On the 10th of August, the key was not put back in the key safe. One day the lockable medication box was left unlocked. Night-time medication was not left out (that was reported at times). Overall, I am enjoying having the carers.
Excellent.
Some carers are better than others in that they are friendly and caring when dealing with Mum. The better ones use their initiative and look to see what is available for her to eat for breakfast. Others just pour her cornflakes. Bathing has only recently been introduced and is on a learning curve. Carers are very good at asking Mum what she would like to wear each day. Mum said that sometimes carers arrive over an hour late (I have explained about traffic etc.) and when they are late they do not stay for very long saying that they need to rush to the next service user.
The care staff have all been very good, with one or two positively excellent. They are all kind and caring, nothing is too much trouble. I feel a number have become friends. Overall, my life has improved.
Having moved from Manchester I can only compare to carers in the North. I have found the carers very good at meeting my needs. The chance to speak with them is important.
