View Full Details of Caremark Weymouth & West DorsetMy brother and I don't live near Mum so knowing someone is popping in every day to check she's taken her tablets and help with personal care and a bit of housework allows us to relax a bit. We've been happy with the standard of care Mum receives and will be looking to increase it as Mum's health deteriorates. Thank you, Caremark!
The carers are very helpful and they do a very good job, they understand my needs and lifestyle.
The staff are very good with my father and they look after him well.
We are relatively new users of Caremark, but can say that our first meeting with the care manager left us feeling confident that our needs would be dealt with efficiently, professionally and with kindness and consideration, and we haven't been disappointed in this. The carers who have visited as "sitters" have been lovely, happy to share a cuppa and a chat with my husband, but also aware of times when he is tired and needs to rest quietly. Because they are "locals" we find things in common that help make conversation easier for an elderly person suffering from Alzheimer's. I now feel confident to leave the house and my husband in safe hands so that I can enjoy a little time for myself. Thank you Caremark!
I am very happy with the carers who visit me. They brighten up my day. The care manager sees to all my needs and is very helpful.
Caremark has been excellent, even when they’re short-staffed. They have made sure that I have always had assistance. The carers are professional and very kind. The ladies in the office are also most helpful whenever answering queries. I couldn’t manage without Caremark’s assistance.
The staff go above and beyond to care for my dad. My dad is always smiling when they are around and laughs with them and it’s so touching to see that he’s so happy. I feel very lucky that I can have access to the online app, to make sure Dad is ok on the visits.
All the carers are understanding, excellent and go the extra mile to help, even when it's raining.
Once again, services supplied by Caremark have been to a high standard. One noteworthy point, one of Caremark's visiting carers contacted the undersigned c. ten days ago at 07:45, Sunday 11 June 2023, to express her concerns about the client's condition and encouraged the undersigned to contact NHS England via 111. (An NHS doctor visited the client that same morning, before 10:45.) The next morning, the carer rendered assistance to the client, packed the client's bag, ready for emergency hospital admittance. On both days, good support was provided by Caremark's duty supervisor to the undersigned, who resides in another country.
My mother has been having support from Caremark since 2022 and her carer is marvellous, no complaints at all. A couple of minor glitches in admin have been swiftly rectified. Communication has been good throughout and we have been kept informed of any changes.
My 96-year-old mum has personal care given to her four times a day by this company. The carers are very compassionate and know my mum and her needs well, having been with her for nearly four years. Three of the carers have been with her for all of this time (and with my dad prior to this) and so there is great continuity and excellent experience of her background. I have very good communication with all three of these carers.
Caremark have looked after my friend for some time and they are kind, they treat her with dignity and respect, her wishes and her care needs. If I ever need care this is the company I will be ringing.
Raising issues with staff has resulted in my care being withdrawn. I have been treated like absolute dirt. I have been verbally abused by a carer and supposedly I am the one in the wrong for opening my mouth.
All seemed fine in the first few years. A change of ownership, a new manager, staff left and new staff arrived. Unfortunately, the cracks started to appear. The level of care decreased. Many issues were not addressed and promptly swept under the carpet even when the manager was informed. My Father was treated very poorly by some of the employees sworn at and generally verbally abused. We were lied to about safeguarding issues which should have been reported to Social Services and were not! Anyone thinking of trusting Caremark with their loved ones should check out other reviews and people with first-hand experience of these not-so-caring carers.
Some of the carers are fantastic but some are abusing their role and their vulnerable clients, leaving earlier than they should, swearing at clients, not giving them appropriate meals. The manager is defensive and on the verge of threatening with her emails responding to my concerns about a particular carer not being with the client as per the contract. The procedures policy is not followed. Complaints aren't followed up and I've basically been told if I'm going to complain then I can go somewhere else. All my complaints I feel are justified, not trivial. Since there's new ownership and management I feel the company has really gone downhill. My father with Alzheimer's was sworn at by one carer, this should have been reported to Social Services yet it was not. Absolutely disgraceful!
Just brilliant what they do, I've been independent all my life and fully now understand, having my carers, how much it is to be very well looked after having looked after people all of my life. The office staff are absolutely fantastic and all the carers I've had the past few weeks are angels. I'm very satisfied with my care from Weymouth Caremark.
I am very pleased with the short break service I received for my wife. The staff are very friendly and arrive on time and see to wife's needs, whilst I have time to go shopping and do other things. The office staff are very friendly and see to my booking when I ring to arrange. They are more than helpful. The manager comes to see us from time to time to ensure the service is to our needs.
My nan has been receiving outstanding care from Caremark Weymouth. Every day my nan always looks forward to seeing her carers. They come in with beaming smiles and make her day. They sometimes even go that extra mile if Nan is unable to do things herself. She has good and bad days and on the bad days, carers assist to help Nan with her everyday needs and try to persuade Nan to do as much as possible. The office team have also been a great help if nan needs extra appointments that I'm unable to take her to. They will always do their best to get this covered for extra appointments. I Icould not have asked for a nicer more caring care company for my nan so thank you so much Caremark Weymouth for all you do for my nan.
I've found that Caremark have always been very helpful. They stepped up when we needed the short break service and organised up to five hours sitting at a time for us which has given us a real break. I recently had a shoulder operation and although Caremark weren't our main carers they put people in for the evening to change Mum ready for bed. I can't fault the service that we've had over the last few months and look forward to continuing with them for the foreseeable future.
This service was put in place due to my partner's multiple health issues and the effect it was having on my health as we have a son with autism as well. My partner can be very challenging at times with his behaviour. I was finding the whole situation very stressful but this wonderful service has relieved a great deal of it. Thanks for that to all concerned.
