View Full Details of Certain Care LtdWhen my parents needed extra support, I had no idea where to start, luckily I came across Certain Care via an online search. I had a good chat with the manager, who talked me through the service that the company offered, and it seemed to be excellent way of extending the time my parents could stay safely in their own home. I will say if the first person doesn't fit, then don't be afraid to contact the manager to let him know. He will always listen and provide a solution even if that means a different carer after all the person being cared for deserves to feel comfortable too. We were lucky enough to be offered one member of staff in particular, she was amazing and mum and dad both thought the world of her. She was their carer from May to December unfortunately mum's mobility meant that it was no longer safe to continue in the home so my parents took the decision to move to residential care together. I would not hesitate to recommend Certain Care to anyone.
The manager/ owner and his team from Certain Care have been looking after my elderly mother for over a year. Our mother is bed-bound and has both Alzheimer’s and Vascular Dementia so the live-in carers have to attend to her every need, including using a hoist, single-handed. The manager has always been really helpful in finding the right carer and replacement relief carers for our mother and has been sensitive to both our mother’s needs and to any issues that may have arisen. The carers have been wonderful. They are not only professional but also kind and attentive to our mother. The house is always clean, the food is freshly cooked, and Mum is happy in their presence. On a personal level, the carers are aware of Mum’s health needs and will call us or a doctor, when needed. In February our mother will be 101 which, in itself, is a testament to their care. The carers often say how much they like/ love our mum and she clearly likes them - even if she has no idea who they are!
Certain Care was recommended to me. There were many options, but the agency seemed to fit what I was looking for. The carer understands the condition, allowing the service user to gain bearings and independence. Solving any issues that may arise with ease and carrying out duties with responsibility. Help with advice and support from the manager is always at hand. The carer is chosen with much thought to accommodate the needs of the service user. The transition from hospital to home was difficult, but handled by the manager with utmost understanding and professionalism.
We chose Certain Care to provide a live-in carer service for our 92-year-old frail dad fifteen months ago, and have been very happy with the service. The owner took trouble to get a thorough picture of our dad, paperwork was thorough. The third permanent carer has proved excellent, and has been in place for a year, she understands our dad, he enjoys her cooking and is well looked after, communication with the carer is good, we have a social media group for carer and us two sisters. (first carer lovely but had to leave for medical reasons, second one not compatible, but the owner listened and dealt with the situation diplomatically). Several holiday cover temporary carers have got on well with Dad too. Being a small organisation means it is cheaper, and the owner seems to personally know the carers and has nearly always matched us well. There is also more flexibilty around arranging time off for the carer, which makes it easier to organise relief care.
Very pleased to have switched to Certain Care after a bad experience with a previous company. The carers are wonderful with Mum, they're very patient, caring and gentle, they also tell us that they frequently go on training and seem to have a good rapport with the office staff who are also very efficient and helpful.
