View Full Details of Home Instead (Shrewsbury, Ludlow & Oswestry)We have been using Home Instead (Shrewsbury, Ludlow & Oswestry) for several years now, and are continuing to use them. One of my parents has complex needs which require multiple visits per day. All of the carers we’ve had have been excellent - they go above and beyond to ensure wellbeing and their passion and kindness are a constant. As our requirements have progressed, the company has done its utmost to help us at every turn. If you are looking to bring in care and you’re not sure which way to turn, I can’t recommend Home Instead (Shrewsbury, Ludlow & Oswestry) highly enough.
The carers were all encouraging, kind and patient. Pleasant to have in the house.
Mum's approaching 80 and has late-stage Parkinson's. Home Instead started looking after Mum in the middle of 2021. Covid was calming down but still very much a problem. They come in a couple of afternoons and an evening each week to give my wife a break from the constant supervision and care needed. The staff are hard-working and caring, as well as punctual and professional. Even though it's only a few hours a week, it enables my wife to get out of the house knowing that Mum is well looked after. We've had a few bumps in the road. Staff sickness that can't be backfilled leads to occasional cancellations, which are quite disheartening. We also once tried an overnight shift that didn't end well. On the whole, though, Home Instead are helping my wife keep her sanity and their carers are first class. Happy to recommend.
I continue to be extremely happy with the services provided by Home Instead. The caregivers are very well trained and competent; they are unfailingly kind and are lovely company in our house. I always look forward to seeing them and can relax, knowing that my husband is in good hands when he is with his caregiver.
Home Instead has allowed me to keep my independence and allow me to still have a bath. The carers are amazing we have a lovely chat when they come. Nothing is too much for them they help us with housework which is a great help as my wife has dementia so can't do as much as she used to.
I have found the service very helpful and flexible. Sometimes I find the app a bit confusing. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I know my father can be a challenge but Mum always enjoys the company so the staffs' patience is appreciated. Thank you.
This wonderful team of people have been looking after our Mother for the past 12 months. The service is professional, caring and the client is always at the forefront of their mind. Apart from ensuring the client is well looked after they are also very supportive of the family. Nothing is too much trouble and they attempt to be as flexible as possible when putting together care packages for their clients. Are there any issues? Very rarely and they are always dealt with quickly and professionally. They may not be the cheapest but quite frankly you get what you pay for. I would highly recommend them.
Fantastic service which has been responsive to my needs provided by carers who know what they’re doing and care about it. They’ve even been able to help in an unscheduled episode of need. I’ve received helpful suggestions of equipment to request to make life easier because of the experience of the carers.
I always feel extremely confident knowing that my father is supported very well in my absence by the Caregivers. He enjoys their company and says that he feels very well looked after when I am not here. Upon my return, there is always well-written feedback for me as to how he has been the previous day. The support that I have also had from The Operations Manager is outstanding. Nothing is too much trouble and requests for extra hours for eg. are organised and sorted very quickly. His communication skills are excellent.
The Home Instead caregivers have been fantastic with Mum over the last twelve months. They were able to adapt to her deteriorating mental state and increase the level of care at short notice. Nothing was too much trouble!
Home Instead started looking after my Mum and Dad in April 2020 and have been a godsend. Sadly my father passed away in June, and one of the senior managers even risked his own health to take my Mum to see him in hospital in his final hours right in the middle of the pandemic, for which we are truly grateful. They are still looking after my Mum, and all the staff who care for her have been hard-working, courteous and caring. I live quite away, away from my Mum, so I can only see her every 2 weeks or so but it is reassuring to know she has company every day and I know they all take time to chat to her while they are doing their daily tasks and I know she looks forward to seeing them. They do all her shopping and cooking as well as everything else she might need, nothing is too much trouble. The office staff are always on top of everything that is happening, and regularly email us if there are any concerns or they need to clarify anything. All the staff have been brilliant throughout.
Home Instead was recommended to us by someone already using their services, and we have not looked back since they started looking after my Mum in February this year. The carers are kind, committed, helpful and professional. They take care of me and my mum! They are always on time, are busy from the moment they arrive until they leave. Their presence in our home is a welcome addition and not only do they do a great job in providing personal care, but they engage my mum in conversation. Sadly, my mum has vascular dementia, but thankfully, the carers are not perturbed by this, nor are they patronising or condescending towards her. They are warm and genuine. This approach extends to the admin staff. I contact them frequently asking for advice and changing days and hours due to my work commitments. They always accommodate my needs as well as my mum's, and if they can't provide answers to my queries, they make sure they find someone who can! I can't praise this service enough! Thank you so much.
I look forward to your care person coming in each week. After a chat to put the world to right, she takes me shopping or whatever, since I can no longer drive. Then she helps with whatever is needed in the house - bed making etc.
I have been with Home Instead Senior Care for almost 2 years and I have had several caregivers in this time and they have all been lovely, caring people. I find the ethos of the company from the owner, office staff to caregivers is caring, kind and thoughtful and I highly recommend them.
An excellent group of carers - reliable, kind and so helpful to us both.
