View Full Details of Right at Home (Welwyn, Hatfield & St Albans)Right at Home has provided excellent care for my mum since last October until now when she moved in to sheltered accommodation. All of the carers that mum came in to contact with have looked after her with compassion and professionalism. The communication flow between the management team, the carers and myself was excellent. It helped so much to know, sometimes each day, how the visit had gone and how mum was. I would highly recommend Right at Home to anyone looking for professional and compassionate support for themselves or their relative.
I really high level of care for Mum and wonderful interaction with us as well. We were extremely happy with the care provided and the transition to greater care needed was done in a thoughtful and caring manner.
I want to thank the Deputy Care Manger and her lovely team of carers for the great service they all provided helping my mum, whilst she was living at home. I highly recommend this company and would definitely use them again in the future. Once again, many thanks.
Right at Home has provided excellent care for our mum over the past year or so. All of the carers have looked after Mum with compassion and professionalism and have done their utmost to meet our changing needs. I would highly recommend Right at Home.
All the staff who attended Mum were incredibly kind and attentive. They helped to enrich her life and became good friends. They had such a positive impact on her life and mine too! In the past Mum had used other caring companies but Right at Home were by far the best and altogether very lovely. Thank you again and again for all you did for her.
Right at Home and its staff came to the aid of our family after my father was discharged from hospital. At the time we had no help and had fallen through the cracks, and he was very ill and no one from the local NHS organisations knew he was at home or in need of help. Without Right at Home we would not have coped and my dad would have ended up straight back in hospital, the one thing he said he didn't want to happen. Ever since, even when we had some NHS funded carers helping, we decided as a family to retain the services of Right at Home throughout. Due to the kindness and care of all the team of ladies who have helped look after him, and give my mum a well-deserved break in addition to offering her help and support, not when asked, but when it was seen to be needed.
My experience has always been positive. My brother has been consistently treated with respect and empathy and I have always been dealt with in a friendly way and kept in the loop regarding his situation. I have been seriously impressed by the dedication, flexibility and caring attitude of all the staff I have come into contact with.
I am very happy with the care I am given and the carers support me well!

We have been caring for my mother-in-law daily for six years, due to her evolving vascular dementia. Three years ago we made a decision to involve care services. Relinquishing responsibility was a difficult decision, but Right at Home (Welwyn, Hatfield and St Albans) reassured us that this was the right thing to do, enabling my mother-in-law to remain in her own home as we work as a team with the carers. Each carer has their own personality and methods to engage with my mother-in-law. Their care sessions are interesting; they are patient despite the repetition of my mother-in-law’s behaviour, are thoughtful and work well with us to develop new strategies as demands change. They offer ideas to enhance the care, including dietary and exercise suggestions. We now have the confidence to take mini-breaks, knowing that Right at Home have our backs and my mother-in-law’s care at heart. Instant communication via their app, and 24-hour telephone contact adds to our reassurance.
I am impressed by the care, thoughtfulness and kindness of the staff of Right at Home.
Always happy to help and go above and beyond what is expected of them. Peace of mind for me and my family that the staff are available to help in any way that they can. Always kept informed of what is going on.
My mother always enjoyed her visits from her carers and this added to her having a much better quality and happy life. She we couldn't get this care in place earlier! All the ladies were lovely and showed great kindness towards my mum.
We could not be happier with the given by the careers from Right at Home (Welwyn, Hatfield and St Albans) for my mum. It made such a difference and gave us great peace of mind knowing that she was being looked after, especially since we are not local enough to check in on her. The office staff were a pleasure to deal with and were always so helpful with all our questions. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough.
Professional and compassionate care, with attention to detail and always willing to go the extra mile. Our father has been very happy with the care Right at Home have provided and we would not hesitate in recommending them.
The standard of care was excellent. The carers were friendly and thoughtful. They sat with my mum or dad and talked with them about things they liked and were interested in. The carers were on time and paid attention on each visit.
We took a while looking for a company that could give companionship and friendship to our mum without the need for personal care. Mum remains quite independent but has short-term memory loss and needs prompting and support. The carers that visit mum are so friendly and patient with her and we notice much improvement in her mood just in the last few weeks. Since reluctantly giving up her driving licence she has lost much of her independence but the carers now take her out in the car and she goes shopping so that she can choose her own groceries. I live two hours away from my mother and my brother is a full-time carer himself, Right At Home gives us peace of mind. Communication is excellent from the care package for my mother to the visit reports on the App OpenPass which can be viewed shortly after the visit.
Excellent. Cannot be faulted.
Both my wife and I are in our 70th year. We are not disabled but my wife suffers from vascular dementia and I have some heart problems. The help and attention offered by the carers have been happily accepted by my wife and has made my life possible. We are fortunately in a position of being able to afford it. It has made my life possible.
Always cheerful and helpful! Will take on any tasks. Answer and make phone calls including Doctors and District Nurses. Leaves kitchen etc in excellent state. Would not do without your help!
