View Full Details of Sarah's CarersSarah's Carers supported Dad with morning and evening visits in his last few weeks before he sadly passed away. Dad's needs changed very quickly and Mum couldn't manage things on her own. Fortunately Sarah's Carers were able to put the necessary support in place quickly and efficiently. Communication was very good and the visit notes shared on the App were very useful. The carers themselves were friendly, capable and reliable and we couldn't have managed without them.
The team at Sarah's Carers cared for my Dad, in our home, for the last 6 months of his life. Initially, a team of 2-carers a day helped Dad with basic tasks, provided company, made him snacks, etc. As time progressed, 2 carers visited 3x daily to provide advanced care and in the final month, a live-in carer supported Dad and us, in our home. The carers we worked with provided an exceptional level of care to Dad and went above and beyond in their support of him and us. I would recommend them to anyone.
All of the staff at Sarah's Carers who helped mum were wonderful. Mum had complex needs due to her pain levels and the carers were always very gentle, patient and supportive. They treated mum with dignity and respect. Two members of staff in particular were very kind to mum and also to me when I needed some emotional support during difficult times. I highly recommend them.
Most of the carers were caring and very attentive to my aunt's needs. They carried out the list of their tasks and very often spent time speaking to her about their pets or holidays etc to enable them to have conversations with her. They were friendly and over the four years of visiting her became great friends with her. Sometimes the visit times were not the most appropriate but mostly they were acceptable. The carers had compassion for her needs and encouraged her to make informed choices regarding meal choices and clothing. In general a very good set of carers with some better than others.
When we were in dire need of help at very short notice Sarah's Carers came to the rescue and we could not be more grateful. They found a delightful night carer for us who went above and beyond to ensure our father's final days were as comfortable as possible. Thank you so much.
We have employed Sarah's Carers for almost one year, during which they have supplied us with a number of live-in carers to look after our formerly super-fit and alert 94-year-old mother. She suffered a serious stroke last year, leaving her with significantly reduced mobility and cognitive capacity. All the carers have been kind, caring and professional and some highly entertaining and truly outstanding, providing such companionship as to almost become members of the family! The support provided by the owner and her support staff has been exemplary, and we have had full confidence throughout the entire time. Our mother's recovery has substantially exceeded expectations and even now we still see further improvements in her overall condition. The kindness and encouragement shown by the carers have undoubtedly been a major positive influence. We would recommend Sarah's Carers to anyone who needs such support. They go that extra mile and then some! Thank you all at Sarah's Carers.
The whole set-up from the beginning, caring to do the care is exceptional. The office staff are so attentive and helpful. The girls that come to Dad are kind, caring, respectful, compassionate, punctual, polite and nothing is any problem. The communication app is fantastic for them and me. I can only praise all of 'Sarah's Carers'. Thank you.
Mum suffered from Alzheimer’s dementia and could be difficult from time to time, being forgetful and confused and sometimes angry because of that. Sarah’s Carers were brilliant in dealing with her, ensuring the correct medication was taken at the right time together with ensuring she was eating and drinking as she should. The carers were skilful at changing subjects of discussion and steering her thoughts away from negative things. Always thinking about her immediate needs and letting family know of any concerns.
I have been receiving 5, and now 7-day, care from Sarah’s Carers for just under a month. From the start I have been incredibly impressed at their professionalism, efficiency, knowledge, patience, reassurance, care and compassion, and above all what I would call person-centred care. All they do is focus on me and my needs and they are also working alongside District Nurses 2 days a week, with the District Nurses being consistently impressed at the level of complementary care and support that the carers provide, resulting in a service that makes me feel reassured and fully supported. There have been a couple of unexpected medical incidents recently associated with my illness and they have responded well above the ‘call of duty’ with calmness and efficiency in dealing with them. I am extremely grateful for their ability, therefore, to work and respond so well under pressure. I cannot thank the service enough as it has made a real difference to my sense of well-being. Most commendable.
As a family, we have been using Sarah’s Carers for nearly three years to help us care for our dad who has mixed dementia and hydrocephalus. In that time, our dad’s mobility and cognitive ability have declined considerably and we now have two carers visiting three times a day to get dad up, showered and dressed and later in the day put him back to bed, which involves the use of hoists and slings, catheters and nappies, and surprisingly (given the personal nature of these procedures) a lot of laughing and banter! Our mum also now has dementia and has struggled with the whole idea of having different people in and out of the house, but the carers are kind and considerate of her space. We can’t fault the professional way the office team deal with every eventuality (and there have been plenty!) or the wonderful carers who come in to care for Dad and would recommend Sarah’s Carers to anyone.
We have been using Sarah's Carers alongside our own live-in carer for over 2 years and have nothing but praise for all aspects of their service. In all that time their staff have treated my wife with respect, care, kindness, dignity, and affection, giving her many happy moments and thereby giving me the time to be a husband and not a carer.
We find a vast majority of the carers most professional and excellent at their job. At times they seem to be let down by the office staff. Whilst being quite expensive generally they are reasonable value for money.
Sarah's Carers provide a carer each morning to help get my wife out of bed, washed and dressed. Until recently they came for an hour from 10:30 – but this week, following my six-month review, I agreed to increase this by half an hour each day to allow more time and to reduce stress for my wife, who has Alzheimer's Disease. The carers are all excellent and I can't praise them highly enough. There is one carer in particular, who has developed a good rapport with my wife and explains everything to her and why the actions are necessary. She has acted as a mentor to her colleagues to help them deal with my wife if she is having a bad day.
I just wanted to say a huge thank you for all you have done for my parents over the last few months. Mum and Dad absolutely loved your wonderful, caring and efficient staff enormously and looked forward to their visits.
The thought of having carers in order to be able to get home following an accident a few months before was not something I was looking forward to. However, from the moment of meeting the manager and subsequently the team of absolutely amazing and wonderful carers, I was given dignity, sensitivity and encouragement, all with a good dose of humour, patience and such warmth and friendliness. Their care for me was exemplary, and I cannot praise them highly enough. I would recommend them beyond measure to anyone who was concerned about securing good and trustworthy carers. You wouldn't get better!
I cannot fault the team at Sarah's Carers. My terminally ill father was discharged from the hospital on a Friday afternoon with no care in place. Following a request from me for some immediate help, Sarah's Carers went out of their way to help. Over a very short period of time, my dad went from one visit a day to two, then three, and within a week, having a live-in carer in addition to the 3-times daily visits. Without exception, the carers have been kind, professional, gentle and caring and have looked after Dad exceptionally well. Dad was very ill after his hospital stay but regained some of his sparkles, and enjoyed the care and companionship provided by Sarah's Carers team. The office-based team also went above and beyond by advising me on funding for Dad's care. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to any family member looking for care for their loved one.
We asked Sarah's Carers to change from domiciliary care to live-in care for my elderly mother. We are absolutely delighted with the lady who has moved in. She has made a huge difference, taking Mum out for walks, chatting to her and giving her her social sparkle back. We couldn't be happier with the service provided.
We are delighted with the care provided by Sarah's Carers. The carers are very professional, prompt and thorough, but also extremely empathetic. The care app keeps me informed, as my mother lives some way from me, but it is always reassuring to have feedback and any potential issues flagged. The support provided by the carers has been invaluable.
Have been using Sarah's Carers since 25th June to attend to my partner. To be honest with you, I would be lost without them. They are friendly and efficient, and nothing is ever too much trouble. It's just nice to see a friendly face in the mornings. A big help getting my partner up, showered and dressed, which makes her feel so much better each morning.
Sarah's Carers are a company that I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending. For anyone who has a friend, relative or spouse who requires expert professional help and care. The ladies who have attended our home are first class and have cared for my wife for six months with beneficial results. Unquestionably outstanding.
