View Full Details of Radfield Home Care Harrogate, Wetherby & North YorkshireRadfield Care looked after my mum after a fall that resulted in a fractured humerus and reduced mobility and confidence. A particular member of staff was fantastic in organising and helping at short notice and putting the overnight care into action and the two carers were very kind and caring to my mum. Great service and would highly recommend it.
I have a C4 incomplete spinal injury. Radfield has matched me with a handful of great carers that I have good relationships with. They assist with showering, give me stretches, and dress me. We go for regular walks and they will help with shopping, cooking, collecting prescriptions, etc. If extra visits are required they do their best to accommodate. I would highly recommend it.
My sister and I very much appreciate the care and compassion shown to Mum and Dad. Staff have always gone above and beyond including recently when Dad was poorly and ended up in ICU. Although not cared for directly by Radfield, they contacted us meaning we could get Dad the care he urgently needed. I would not hesitate in recommending Radfield, would describe the care as outstanding.
This is our second use of Radfield Home Care. The first time was July 2022 - November 2022 when my brother-in-law was first home from a nursing home until he fell and was hospitalised. They have been acceptable in every way, especially the manager and partner who have gone above and beyond.
I have been well satisfied with the care and carers, they all kept to time. I am very satisfied with the care and professionalism.
Overall, we have found the carers to be considerate and kind, always treating my husband with dignity and respect. They are meticulous in the care they give him and do not cut corners to save time, always giving him the time he needs. My husband has a good sense of humour, and in general, they will enjoy a little banter and a joke with him.
The carers were, without exception, helpful, supportive and sympathetic - especially since I was keen to do as much as I could myself but with their help. I cannot fault the service and would recommend Radfield to anyone requiring care support.
My experience with Radfield Home Care has been 100% positive. The carers are always punctual, really competent and well trained, and never leave without making sure you have everything you need. The office staff are very helpful, if I need an extra visit or to change the time of an existing one (or need any extra help of any kind) they always do their best to sort it out. I cannot remember the last time a carer was late and if they are they will always let you know. I generally have the same carers, which I really appreciate as I think it’s important to build up a comfortable relationship with your carer and to have continuity. I honestly cannot praise them enough, I have had experience with previous agencies and there is no comparison.
I have been treated well and have encountered caring and professional staff. They have done all I have asked willingly and with no fuss. Every time they go, I am asked if there are further tasks they need to do before they leave.
This review relates to my mum going in for a day surgery procedure which became complicated and, for her safety, required additional visits from the team. The team managers were amazing in organising this and reassuring me, as I don't live in the area. Mum then became very unwell quickly and the carer alerted emergency care and helped support a smooth transition to the ambulance and hospital care. On discharge, their care again was seamless and they amended her care plan to fully meet her updated needs. I would not hesitate to recommend Radfield Home Care Harrogate to anyone who is looking for care for their family members and loved ones.
The whole Radfield Home Care team are great people, from the carers to the supervisors and leaders. We recently discussed a review of my mum's care plan, my brother and I had some thoughts, but the Radfield team sat down and carefully thought through mums needs and provided us a care plan option. This has now been implemented and is very successful and has been a big help for Mum. Mum also started attending the daycare centre which she really enjoys and we have been receiving pictures of Mum through email of her enjoying the day centre activities.
Very efficient and thorough service. Always on time and very responsive when needed. The daily feedback is provided immediately whilst the carer is on site at my father’s house. And most importantly is very comprehensive and provides me with the reassurance that I need as we live over an hour’s drive away.
Needed help and advice for relocating my mother and also my aunt who is suffering badly with dementia. Very friendly, helpful and valuable advice for situations that required difficult decisions. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone needing care for their loved ones.
A good service.
Carers attending are pleasant and helpful. They usually do all as requested, including some things which may not be really part of their remit. They are usually punctual but there are sometimes traffic holdups, inevitably.
Following a 2 and a half week stay in hospital, the service user was having difficulty walking or caring for himself. He was able to cope with fewer visits from Radfield staff as time passed. Three times per week is ideal now. It reduces pressure on me - the constant carer - and despite his suffering from dementia, the client has made progress in most areas. We have both benefitted from Monday and Friday visits spent at the local leisure centre for swimming. Your staff shower and dress him afterwards. He always says how much better he feels afterwards - in spirit and physically.
Radfield has been caring for my aunt for nearly 3 years. She is totally deaf, has dementia and her eyesight is not good. All her carers are excellent with her. I would say to anyone (which I do), all Radfield staff are the best. Trust me, my aunt is not an easy person to care for, but all the carers are fab. Cannot thank them all enough.
Radfield provides an excellent service. The staff are clean, pleasant and know what they are doing. Their timekeeping is to within a few minutes of the rota times unless there is a problem. I prefer a regular rota with the usual staff, but know that changes have to occur.
We are delighted with the care we receive from all the staff the carers must be very well trained as they must have some personal problems, but they never bring them into us. They are always polite, friendly and professional and very patient with my husband when he is having a bad or slow day. When we do have a reason to ring the office, they also are friendly and helpful. If the call goes on to the answering machine, they always ring back within about half an hour. I wish we were in a position where we didn't need care, but as we have to, we could not be better looked after.
The care and support provided is second to none. My husband trusts all the carers and enjoys their company, as I do too. I cannot imagine how I would cope without their help.
