View Full Details of Helping Hands Home Care (Live in National)Great support received and quick access to services, following my dad's change of circumstance. The manager and her team were fab. Dad received one-to-one support for a number of months, assisting with him getting up in the mornings.
Have been thoroughly impressed with the dedication of Helping Hands. Their staff are focused on delivering top-quality care and my brother is benefiting from this quality every day. My thanks to all of the team for their efforts.
The carer performed an extremely conscientious job for us in caring for my wife. She did all the laundry, and the dishes, helped prepare the meals, gave my wife a twice-daily nebulizer session and helped her with dressing and undressing. She is very kind-hearted and caring.
I was pleased to be able to book help at short notice following a recent family bereavement. The team gave me the reassurance I needed and quickly found a wonderful carer to look after my wife whilst I was away.
I simply can not recommend Helping Hands highly enough. We asked them to provide 24 hour support for Mum and Dad in their home. However, before our carer had even started work, Dad had deteriorated significantly and been taken in to hospital. The carer started work soon after, but by that time it had become clear that Dad's care needs now required that he move into a permanent care facility. Despite the excellent care Sharon was now providing, Mum decided she wanted to move into the care home with Dad as soon as he left hospital. Throughout all of the turmoil of this period, Helping Hands were simply excellent. One staff member went far beyond the call of duty to help support and give advice about getting Dad into a home, Helping Hands as a company were considerate, patient and flexible and their carer provided outstanding care for Mum. Including perhaps saving her life when Mum fell, and the highly alert carer managed to catch her before her head hit anything. Thank you.
Having never needed a carer before I was a bit apprehensive, especially as I was using a live in carer. I needn't have worried the lady was lovely, she was discretely there when I needed her but allowed me my independence to recover at my own pace. It was very nice not having to worry about housework. We got on very well and had been matched with similar interests so it was more like having a friend staying rather than a carer. It relieved my family of worrying about me being on my own the first week after discharge from the hospital.
From the moment we as a family engaged with the team at Helping Hands, we have felt hugely supported. We were really impressed with their attitude and how they consider heavily not only the patient, but the well being of those friends and family members around them as well. There seems to have been real consideration given to the most appropriate carer for our dad's needs and our carer has proven to be an absolute star in some pretty challenging circumstances. His passion, focus and dedication to the well being of our dad who is in end of life care has been incredibly selfless and admirable. I and I think the whole family wouldn't hesitate to recommend Helping Hands was the requirement there again in the future.
In July/August 2022, we were requiring urgent help with Mum to live-in her house. This was to give her as much independence as possible. Within 3 days of speaking to Helping Hands, discussing our needs, our main live-in carer was with Mum. It was an instant match and continued for 4 years with them becoming great friends. The main live-in carer became part of the town that Mum lived in and this helped the carer do the job that was expected of them. Helping Hands continued to send secondary carers whenever the main carer was due a break. They checked with us every time this happened and all carers were excellent. The only reason that we stopped using Helping Hands was that Mum's house became unsuitable for her, having stairs to get up and down the stairs. However, without a doubt Helping Hands kept Mum at home as long as possible. Unfortunately, with 2 carers it was expensive, however, great service.
Amazing service, a carer from Helping Hands has helped us at the last minute when we needed it the most. She is such an amazing person. Such a credit to the company, and the current PA is absolutely amazing my dad is not the easiest person to get on with. I couldn't have asked for a better person for my dad, absolutely fantastic customer service, would highly recommend them, and my dad is always using Helping Hands and we've never had any issues, both so kind caring friendly and always willing to help.
Helping Hands have supplied carers for my brother-in-law for a number of years now. The care he has received has always been excellent, you regularly contact me to keep me updated and to discuss his needs, I have complete peace of mind thanks to you!
Having recently moved from another care providing company I am able to make a direct comparison. Helping Hands are so much better in every way than our previous provider. Every single person I have had dealings with gets a 5 star rating.
Helping Hands at Tamworth have been incredibly supportive since our initial enquiry. Being listened to about individual care needs for a loved one is vital. Staff have extensive experience and have been invaluable to us when choosing care at home.
We were let down by another care company so got in touch with Helping Hands at fairly short notice of required live-in respite care dates. They were very helpful from the start, there was great communication throughout the provided service, including before, during and after the required care. We found all persons that we dealt with were knowledgable, helpful, easy to talk to and went out of their way to help. The care our parents received was good and they were happy and content on our return from our holiday.
The carers and staff at the Redditch branch always go above and beyond. I feel like I am supported with everything I need. The communication from branch is excellent and I always know when my calls are and who with. I would highly recommend Helping Hands to anyone looking for support at home.
