View Full Details of Choices Homecare (Rotherham North & Doncaster)99% of the carers are fantastic, polite and caring. The exception of I, unfortunately, have bad hygiene and body odour especially. Management team: same again, one manager is superb. Unfortunately, another manager doesn't have the management material required. She's very forgetful, contradicts herself in a conversation many times. Doesn't ring clients directly when a problem occurs but tells us to ring her after passing messages via carers. Changes times and carers at short notice even after complaining to the head.
I have always considered the staff who visit to be kind, respectful of her wishes and engage her in conversation. The office staff are always polite and helpful and ensure any changes to mum's care are relayed to the carers.
Good
My brother has been bedbound for the last 8-10 years. Over the last month, the carers have been keeping a close watch on a health problem and he has been in and out of hospital 4 times in the last month, that is because of the good care the carers have been giving him.
The care providers are hard-working, kind, and thoughtful and go the extra mile to help and they will always make sure I have everything I need to make me comfortable. They are absolutely worth every penny and will make every effort to meet my needs.
I am very pleased with my care and the carers are really extremely good to me nothing is too much trouble. Yes, I am very pleased!
I have been very happy with TLC since I joined a year ago. All the staff are very agreeable and professional. I couldn't manage without them. Many thanks
All the regular carers are polite, helpful and professional. They give my mother that contact she needs as I am at work all week. I feel better knowing they keep an eye on her as well as their stated duties.
I have been having huge issues with the admin to the point of feeling too distressed about getting in touch with them if there were any issues that needed addressing. I had previously complained about the time l was getting carers for my lunch call, far too often l had them coming before 10 am and once they sent one at 8:20, it’s not a problem with the carers as some are really lovely. I asked not to get a male carer at the call when having a wash but l was threatened that l would either have them coming around 9:30 for a lunch call or have the male carer after 11 am. All this has caused me a lot of distress and has affected my health, unfortunately, it was pointless trying to get some understanding from the admin and do their job properly and with respect towards me.
The care from the ladies that deal with my father is very good. They support his needs and work well in the home. The carers speak to me professionally and make sure my father has everything he needs to remain living at home.
We have recently had a full change of carers which completely upset my mum. They have had quite a lot of ups and downs with caring due to the fact we originally had a team of eight carers covering Mum's care and suddenly it became four. When they have holidays it all goes wrong, for instance, we had in one day 3 different sets of carers and the times were totally unacceptable. 7am morning, lunch 1:50pm, tea 3:10pm and bed 5:30pm. This has happened quite a few times since the new team took over. We don't know who will come to care for Mum at these times. She is nearly 95 years old and it has really unsettled her. We feel Mum is slowly giving up. I have had to assist staff a few times while having an ortho problem.
Very professional and caring.
Care providers are courteous, cheerful and always as after my health which is reasonably good considering I am reaching 91 in October.
All our carers are very good and very caring. They are more like friends.
The carers are very good with my wife. They are very caring and understanding of her needs. They are bright and cheerful and always engage my wife in conversation. I cannot fault the care given by them.
My husband has been looked after by a team of dedicated carers who are well trained, efficient and very good at what they do. I can trust them to care for my husband and help me along the way. We cannot thank them enough for the care they have shown.
Very satisfied.
Over the last couple of days, my wife and I have been able to spend some good quality time with my mum and I have been impressed with the flexibility and engagement demonstrated by your staff. Mum has also mentioned how good her care is and the quality of all her carers. I also note that her things are organised well in the house. Please register my family’s gratitude for the service you are providing, it means a lot to us, and our mum.
I am very pleased with the service you give me.
We have found TLC Homecare to be a highly reliable and caring team of carers. Each of the carers who have attended my mother have always shown her dignity and a high level of care whilst enabling her to retain her independence in certain areas. Moving forward with the condition of Altzheimers, we are confident that as and when her care needs progress, TLC will be more than able to meet this need. We would like to thank TLC for their support.
