View Full Details of Home Instead (Mid Norfolk)Mum had carers from Home Instead after a bad experience using a cheaper care provider. Home Instead were amazing for the 5 months they helped care for Mum. She loved all of them and each were caring and very patient with Mum. Sadly Mum had to go to permanent care but we are very thankful to Home Instead, the professionalism, kindness and caring nature of each of the ladies really helped us to understand where Mum was on her dementia journey. The ladies were always on time, responded to requests in a timely fashion and would do literally anything to help Mum. On occasion going above and beyond, when one of the carers found Mum wandering in the street, upset and confused and took her home, making sure she was safe and okay. Home Instead are more expensive than a lot of other providers but, trust me when I tell you there is a reason for that, and it's worth every penny to make sure your loved one is treated well and to have peace of mind that the compassion shown by each carer, runs deep.
The Care Pros from Home Instead (Mid Norfolk) have been an absolute saviour to our Mum and family. Without exception, whether hourly or live-in, the staff have been courteous, cheerful and full of respect for my Mum. She has had her life turned around and it has been a massive comfort to ourselves that we know that we can go away for a while and Mum is being well looked after. Even her two dogs are being spoiled and greet the ladies as though they are family when they return after a 3-week break in their rotation. I have no hesitation in commending the company to those who are interested.
As a family, we are extremely pleased with the care provided by Home Instead for our Dad, particularly in his last weeks. Your carers were all, without exception, professional, thoughtful, caring and importantly, always on time. They helped Dad with compassion and dignity, particularly at the end of his life. We as a family cannot thank you enough.
The carers are always friendly and helpful which enables me to keep my independence in my own home.
Overview, prompt, proud, proffessional, personal and pleasant. Diligent helpful and supportive, your staff make one feel part of the system, almost a family feel throughout. I rely on these 'angels' for guidance on many things and my life is much enhanced, due to their presence. Thank you.
The carer is like a tonic and is very willing to so anything asked of her. She loves ironing, what a bonus!
We needed home care after my husband had a fall and now has a broken, shattered right shoulder. I have osteoporosis and cannot handle my husband as well as I used to. Since Home Instead have been coming each morning to get my husband up, washed, dressed and dealing with all his personal needs it has been a tremendous help to me. The carers are very friendly, super efficient and extremely helpful ready to do anything that is required. The timekeeping is superb. I particularly appreciate the continuity of the team of carers who have built a real rapport with my husband. They know exactly what is required and my husband enjoys seeing each of them. They make him feel special and always chat to him, it's a pleasure to have them in our home. I would recommend Home Instead to anyone looking for a company that really cares about their clients.
Home Instead have been providing care for my mum 3 times a day since the middle of December 2023, my mum is recently widowed and has severe mobility issues. I live 3000 miles away and knowing that someone is going in to see my mum 3 times a day is such a relief. I recieve detailed reports on my phone every day so I know what is happening daily with my Mum. She had a fall last week and the care professional that found her on the floor was amazing waiting for the paramedics to come and I was in constant contact with another member of staff who was on 24-hour call that weekend. The communication between the different areas within Home Instead is also something I would like to commend them all on. Each one of the care professionals who are part of Mum's care are wonderful, they really do support her and help her manage her daily routine, and chat to her every visit which she loves to do with them all. Thank you Home Instead for your support and care.
Highly recommend Home Instead (Mid Norfolk) Superb group of care pros, who often go above and beyond and provide great care to my frail elderly father. They give me peace of mind that he will be well looked after when I’m not able to be there. The office staff are also good at communicating and it’s handy to see a record of the visits via the app. Special mention to one staff member in particular (you know who you are!) who is excellent at trying to fix things and has gone the extra mile to help when the heating has failed and things have been leaking! Calling out electricians etc.She is a credit to the company! Thank you all of you.
The carers from Home Instead have been brilliant at looking after my dad who has Alzheimer's and in supporting my mum with companionship, practical and emotional support. They have always treated my parents with high levels of compassion, patience and supportive friendship that has meant that mum and dad could stay in their own home safely together for as long as possible. They have been amazing! The information we get from each visit, via the app, is helpful and gives us peace of mind when we live so far away.
Home instead had been providing care for my Dad for the last 3 years. He had care professional visits twice a day. All of the carer professionals were fantastic. They really cared for my Dad and built good relationships with him. Recently we made the decision that my Dad needed 24 hour care. Whilst we have looked at care homes, ideally we still wanted Dad to be in his own home. Home Instead have been absolutely amazing. Helping to find the right carers for my Dad. Keeping me and my siblings informed every step of the way, and making what was a difficult decision for us, much less stressful in the end. The carers and the office staff supporting the carers and the families are all brilliant. I would highly recommend them to anyone who has the tough decision to make about finding the right care for their loved ones.
Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the care that Home Instead has provided for my mother. It enabled her to continue living at home for as long as possible, where she wanted to be. A highlight of Home Instead's care package was the resourcefulness of the carers, who resolved many day-to-day problems using their own initiative; this was particularly appreciated, as I live 100 miles away. They also made a special effort to develop a friendship with my mother and to provide companionship, which in retrospect, was one of her biggest needs. Continuity was maintained despite the inevitable change of care staff. I also found the team in the Norfolk Home Instead offices to be friendly and responsive. Messages were reliably passed on, and communication was easy and effective. Being able to read the caregivers' visit reports online via an app meant that I was always up-to-date with my mother's welfare (but if anything, the reports contained too much detail when I was looking for a summary!).
Home Instead has been looking after my mum since late October. They have been absolutely brilliant! I live 2.5 hours away from her, so I am unable to check on her as often as I would like. They have visited in the morning to give her medication and again in the evening for meds and to get her meal. Mum was reluctant to have anyone in, to begin with, but she quickly made friends with the ladies who visited and looked forward to seeing them. The visits helped her not to feel lonely and she has been much healthier since they have been looking after her. They have done all sorts of little jobs around the house and generally made sure that Mum was cared for and happy (which takes some doing, I can tell you!). One lady even took Mum to a Christmas market in her own time. The communication has been excellent so that when things were needed, they were able to let me know and I could order them - which was great, as Mum has Alzheimer's and doesn't remember what shopping etc she needs.
My 91 year old mother was living alone and since she had begun to find it harder to get out to her groups and societies she was getting very lonely. The professional carers who visited her were the highlight of her day. They quickly established a friendly rapport and encouraged her to talk about her interests. As I live more than 500 miles away, it was very important to me to be able to rely on their professional expertise and to have full confidence in the responsiveness of the service. With Home Instead's support, mother was able to stay living in her own home for as long as possible and for that I am very grateful, as was she.
I initially hired Home Instead to help with my elderly parent's care needs as they had started to find it harder to cope living in their old home. When my mother had a stroke and died, Home Instead provided a level of care for my father that went beyond my expectations. They were able to arrange live-in-care for him at extremely short notice. I live abroad but Home Instead worked with me to make sure Dad was cared for and safe. The live-in carer kept me up-to-date with Dad's needs and progress and I felt happy knowing that he was safe and secure in his own home. After he began to pick up we were able to go back to three daily visits. Home Instead were flexible, supportive and friendly and very professional. Head office kept me informed at all times. Not every carer worked out as well, but that's normal. There are always personality clashes. But Home Instead acted worked with me to ensure my father's care was first class. I recommend them without hesitation.
I have been very disappointed by this company, my issues emailed to the Manager were ignored. Items belonging to my mother have finally been returned by the Manager after five weeks. There is a distinct lack of communication and in my opinion, this is a poorly run company and I would not recommend it to anyone.
We have got on extremely well with our carers. They are almost always punctual and if there are any problems we soon get a phone call to say they will be late. We have found they will lend their hands to anything and will help us out in any way they can. We think of them as friends. If I have needed to get in touch with the office my call has always been answered promptly and the appropriate person has soon phoned back.
From the outset, the carers who visit my mother were all very efficient and caring. They never rush her because we have a full hour. They all go over and above their required tasks to make sure she is comfortable and report any issues to me that may need attention. Because she lives with us, they have also been very supportive to me. Home Instead really do handpick the best carers. Both mum and I are very happy.
Extremely helpful, no too much trouble for her. She shops and has got to know what I like.
Efficient, professional and caring staff and management. More home care agencies of this calibre needed.
