View Full Details of Highgate Home CareHaving experience arranging care with two care providers. The Burlington Homecare is far the better, a member of staff in the office has been especially helpful. Very happy with the service provided, the carers are caring (I appreciate that sounds obvious) but I mean it in the sense of being warm-hearted and efficient, communication is very good. Overall, wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
I'm very happy with this home care provider. They listen to what you say and pay attention to detail. So far all the carers I've had have been good. Very friendly and helpful and the staff in the office are the same. Can't fault their work.
At a difficult time in life, my mother was a little on edge in commencing this contact program. However, from the initial meeting to the visits that followed, the management and staff were always friendly and treated her with warmth and dignity, which is all we can ask for. Thank you.
We had a family crisis. I am the Son of the service user, and I live overseas. I spoke directly to the office manager covering my mother's area in Willerby. Seriously, he went above and beyond to find a solution for my mother and to reduce my stress. The plan has since gone like clockwork, and my mother is happy, and I am happy - so thank you.
The carers are very good with me as I've got cerebral palsy. They understand all my needs and and understanding in general. They are on time if not I get notified.
Since starting to use the company in mid-July 2023, we have been very impressed with the standard of care provided. Both myself and my husband have found the care team to be very careful and thorough in all the tasks that are required. Without exception, they are also polite and cheerful, and that helps us to feel comfortable with them.
Reliable service that is necessary to keep my dad living in his own home. The team contact me if they have any concerns, such as medication issues. A recent difficult situation relating to a personality clash between a carer and my dad, was managed very professionally by the local manager.
The staff at Burlington Homecare, have been looking after my father at home, since he suffered a stroke in February and came home in May. The level of care has been excellent. They are always cheerful and look after Dad's needs, professionally and efficiently.
My wife was provided with a care package in April 2019 which required 4 x 2 carer visits per day, 7 days per week. Up until this time I had struggled to cope with her declining mobility. Although this took a lot of physical effort away from me we had no settled carers, ie. 18 different carers in a 21 day period. Occasionally some carers were not up to it but this was always resolved to my satisfaction when raising the issue. In September of the same year, we settled down with 4 regular carers who were excellent. They were very empathetic and always showed kindness and understanding despite having to deal with my wife’s difficult issues and total lack of mobility. Quite frankly without their support and commitment to their work, I would have not been able to cope. My wife has sadly just passed away and I will miss the daily interaction with the carers. What I will also say is that they deserve better terms and conditions particularly remuneration. People are a company’s greatest asset.
I am more than happy with the service I receive except for the behaviour of one carer, who says I can do it if I try when I know that I can't. She hardly does anything, just stands watching. The changes of times when the carers come and I get no information on this. Changes of carers with no prior notice.
Good service by a team of lovely ladies, as well as looking after my wife they made me feel better in a horrible situation.
Burlington ladies have looked after me with care and kindness. I am very fortunate to be helped so very well.
The staff are very good. Support from management not so good.
Good at talking and motivating the client. Shows a good sense of humour. Give you confidence in their abilities. Time keep is generally good.
Great service all the time. We have no issues.
The Burlington care team are always friendly, caring and punctual. They have been looking after my mum and also my dad when he was here for over 2 years they have always been extremely helpful and have treated my p[parents really well, always asking if anything else is needed before leaving and respecting their wishes. All in all a lovely team.
My Aunty finds the carers very helpful and knows that she can rely on them to give her lunch and make a sandwich for tea. I find this helpful and reassuring as I know she has someone calling every day and she is getting a meal prepared for her.
The client, my mum, almost 95 years old, living alone in her own home, has visits from the care service each morning and tea time with lunchtime calls at the weeked. The "regular" carers are very good and go above and beyond their duty tasks - ie changing a light bulb, bed making, hoovering around, walking mum out into the garden etc. When a "one-off" carer has called, they can hardly manage the basic tasks - medication not prompted, bedroom left, along with the kitchen in a state of disarray. Dirty pots left, their own rubbish tipped into mother's bin. It is as well they are only sent not very often.
