View Full Details of One Day At A Time Home Care LtdOne Day At A Time cared for our mother from March 2022 to her peaceful end at home in September 2024. We would have quickly been out of our depth with her drastic decline if it were not for their care and support. The team were wonderful people who were a comfort and joy to welcome into our home. When mum died, it wasn't just mum that were going to miss. The carers from One Day At A Time will forever be an extended family to us.
The service I have received over the past 3 months plus, has been second to none. Every carer has been wonderful, nothing is ever too much trouble. I would recommend One Day At A Time Home Care Ltd to anyone who is in need of any of the services they offer, without any hesitation. I have been more than 100% satisfied through all the time I have used them.
Carers have been coming since my discharge from hospital at the end of May so I have met around 10, I think. I was wary about my need for carers, but in the event, I did not need to worry. They are all such lovely, friendly, professional, helpful intelligent people who have got to know how I like things without me having to keep reminding them. Although I would obviously prefer to be able to look after myself at the moment, they understand that I like to try things myself. The office is easy to contact at all times, is also friendly and responds to my queries or requests. My only problem is that I am limited to the latest time at night as it means I can't really go out in the evenings unless I can arrange for a visit after 10 pm. But I do know that this is difficult.
The service is exceptional, awesome and incredible. We receive so much confidence and support. We would be poorer without it. Our main support is a natural, warm, kind, thoughtful soul. She is super professional and just genuinely great. I could not praise the service any more... 100/10. Five stars.
Every carer we have met from One Day At A Time have been warm, respectful and skilled. Some of the regular carers feel more like family visitors now as they have taken time to really get to know my parents and their routines. The office staff have been easy to get hold of and responsive to our queries and requests. Obviously Mum would prefer not to need help but whilst she does, this agency has delivered above our expectations, particularly following previous experiences with other organisations. For me and my brother, knowing that we can assume that mum is safe and treated with warmth and respect has allowed us to gradually return to our busy lives, and focus on work etc. so that we can become daughter and son again. Priceless.
I cannot state enough how fantastic this care agency is, they have changed our lives, and my wife has formed a relationship with various carers who go above and beyond for her and myself. My wife has MS and every carer that visits, will go above and beyond. A special thanks to five carers in particular. All staff are fantastic I would love to name them all, so thank you all. Highly recommended!
Everyone is very helpful. The hospital recommended and we would highly recommend. We are very happy with the service and all the carers are so caring, always smiling and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you very much for all your help.
Staff are caring and polite. Always happy to help. They attend with smiles and kind words and look after my husband with respect and dignity.
I am very happy with the care my father is receiving. Knowing who is visiting and when every day is great, as is the app so I can read how each visit has been and if there is anything I need to follow up on. Knowing they are there every day is extremely reassuring and means I can share the load.
Mum is very happy with the care your team provides. She loves to chat and enjoys the company of all the carers. Her only observation would be that she would prefer her teatime carer visit to begin at 5.30 pm as she is not usually hungry before that time. Thank you so much for all you do for Mum. Very much appreciated.
Since replacing the NHS Carers in January 2024, I have been totally satisfied with your service and support.
We have been allocated One Day At A Time Home Care through the local authority and we are so glad we have them. We had a different care agency before them and they offer a 1st class service. All of the carers are friendly and are just amazing at what they do. I could not ask for a better care agency to look after my mum and her care needs. We look forward to seeing them everyday and they seem more like our family now rather than carers as they are so personable and caring. They have all the time in the world and always make sure my mum is nice and clean and offer to help her with all sorts of things. With her condition, they have the knowledge and experience to meet her needs and give her the best level of care. I have sent several emails complimenting the carers as they deserve that. We would not want any other care company and grateful for the whole team. We would highly recommend One Day At A Time Home Care, as well as the carers the office staff are really nice too.
On the whole, the teams are working efficiently. I feel that sometimes, they spend too long on their phones writing notes out of the 30 minutes.
All the staff who visit my mother-in-law are wonderful. She is a difficult personality and they are unfailingly kind, considerate and understanding of her wants and needs. The office staff are also great, keeping us informed and always ready to accommodate any requests.
The caring staff are caring and friendly. They mainly stick to their schedule but when they deviate from it there are always good reasons for doing so and they generally warn us if they expect to be late. The office team are very efficient also and have a 'can do' attitude. Nothing is too much trouble.
Excellent. Friendly and efficient. Always happy to do the extra things such as do some exercises and get some breakfast. Easy to discuss and agree on how things are best done. Always friendly and easy to talk to. When occasionally delayed I usually get a call on my mobile which is good. Only missed this call once which was apparently down to no mobile signal which is a problem around here. Wasn't sure when the bill was going to arrive and 1 visit was cancelled but appeared on the bill. Otherwise excellent for everything.
After a few problems, things are starting to look up. On the whole, for the time they are allocated, they do well. My mother seems to get on with all careers that attend to her. And they seem to know her likes and dislikes.
All the carers to date have been great, and the company has been responsive to questions and always helpful. The biggest area where improvements can be made is being more consistent in the times carers visit.
One Day At A Time have been very supportive and reliable. They visited Mum as part of a rehabilitation programme until she was well enough to do bits on her own. The manager is very helpful and organised and the communication has been very good. The carers are kind and have regular slots for visits. They try to ensure that similar ones visit frequently to ensure consistency. I would recommend them to others.
Mum receives three or four visits a day from regular carers. She says they are all nice. Carers keep me updated as needed especially for a minor concern. Carers provide care service as expected plus do extra jobs to make life easier for the family. Managers keep in touch and are obliging for any changes to care visits needed. Mum always seems happy with the care she receives.
