View Full Details of Support Solutions (York & Beverley)I am happy with the care that I am receiving.
The care received from various members of staff has been excellent, both from a personal care aspect and a social care time. There are times when rotas are altered which we understand, as illness among staff cannot be predicted, but but would be appreciated of we could be informed about timing differences, especially as some medications cannot be administered until after a shower.
I have used Support Solutions for 20 months. The company employs staff mainly from Zimbabwe and other countries in Africa. Sometimes I think my bedroom at 7:30 am is like the United Nations. We all get along splendidly and they have found that not all 75-year-old Yorkshire man roused from their slumbers at silly o'clock are grumpy. We all get along fine, as a retired journalist I love asking questions about their families and about their life back home in Africa. If they need to know where the best chippy is, happy to help!
The support is very good without which I would sometimes struggle to go outdoors due to my mental health condition.
I have only had this care package for one week but find the people who have been to assist my husband in showering and dressing are very helpful and caring and originally had this service for 2 days but was impressed and changed it to 5 days.
I go shopping and visit local museums.
Your carers are very professional. They are clean, tidy and very caring. They arrive on time and communicate very well. They are very friendly.
Overall the care provided is good. The carers are kind and considerate. I am grateful for what they do in the allocated time.
Acceptable standard, would welcome general 'chat'. Please emphasise the need to speak clearly, more so when wearing a mask and check on hearing aid users in particular - hence request as we are partially dependent on 'seeing' folk talking. I realise timetable problems!
The only problem sometimes is the visit schedule they send me it is not always right, the other day and once before it was for 9:05 AM but on the carer's phone her schedule was for 8:05 AM. When she came I didn't hear her as I was in bed and she got a bit worried.
Three different carers attended me while I was in the care of Support Solutions. Each carer arrived on time. They showered me, made sure I had clean clothes and took me down for breakfast. Each carer treated me with respect and dignity especially when applying creams to various parts of me. I can only describe them as wonderful carers. I am grateful for all they did for me.
All working well at the moment. One member of staff in particular spending time doing old photos with them which gives them stimulation. All cleaning and washing kept up to date. Keeping my parents well.
Support Solutions have been providing care for my father for the past six months. The service they have provided has been great, even through stagffing issues they still provided the care we required. Any issues we have experienced have been resolved quickly and contact with management has been second to none, faultless.
Overall, the care is a lot better than in hospital. This is a fact. My wife has improved so much. The staff are really good and brilliant with my wife.
My experience with your company has been excellent, with all the people I had dealings with.
Everything is fine - no complaints. The staff are very pleasant and carry out the work efficiently.
The service provided by your staff is remarkable, all of them give peace of mind to my wife and I. Nothing is too much trouble, if any situation is beyond my wife and I, require expertise and sympathy, all members of your staff take whatever needs to be done. Questions of time and daily pressure do not allege that they must give their next client(s) priority. Furthermore, all your staff give their expertise with both service and a smile.
My mum had two previous care providers prior to Support Solutions, and they have been a godsend. Attentive, kind and caring. Have a lot of time for my mum, who has dementia. Rings me for advice, and I personally feel settled with not living locally.
Disappointing. Some of the carers were very good, however, numerous times basic tasks such as administration of medication and meals were not actioned on visits to my mother. One visit involved her being left on the floor and the incident was not reported to the duty manager or myself. The incident was denied until video evidence was provided. On receipt of the evidence, our contract was terminated by the company. They were happy to take our money for years until we complained about examples of negligence. The issue was reported to Safeguard and local social services/MP. We didn't hear of the outcome or receive an apology from management etc.
I like to see them. Friendly carers.
