View Full Details of Purple CarePurple Care have been wonderful with my Dad, the staff are always on the end of the phone if we have any worries or need to change call times etc. All the carers are great, can’t recommend this company high enough!
Purple Care provides excellent and professional support to support my son. We have been with Purple Care for about 5-years now. They are always there when needed to support my son. They continued to work with my son and his family without missing a single day, the support was always being delivered even when Purple Care payments delays. During my son's transition from teenager to adult, his behaviour became more challenging due to his aggressive behaviour, but Purple Care met every difficulty with calmness and understanding. Purple Care also has undergone some challenges from having no social worker and changing five different social workers since he moved to adult social care when he was 18. Purple Care has never stopped providing care and support all through the COVID-19 pandemic, which we are still experiencing. Purple Care has provided high-quality service and safety without fail. I can't thank them enough!
Overall I am satisfied with the service provided. However, I feel that I was not informed that firstly care would be cut from 2 at 4 times a day to 1 at 3 times per day. I feel management should have had the courtesy to write to me or visit me to inform me in advance. My feelings are that what I require is too much for one person in the time allowed. I have spoken to social services, a volunteer service and others and they agree with me. Is it cutbacks?
During these difficult times, I have never once been let down by a carer not coming. They have been courteous and always helpful.
Most carers are happy and very pleasant, attentive, and friendly. The conversation is daily and chatty. My personal cleanliness and toiletry are excellent.
I have had very courteous carers. I am having them 3 times a day. They are always cheerful and happy to talk to me.
On New Years Day, my husband had a nasty fall. he fell on to my leg, as I was resting. We were both taken to hospital where he spent five weeks recovering from a part hip operation and I spent two weeks in the hospital. Returning home I found I was not coping with things at home and I was losing weight and decided to recruit the help of Purple Care. I found the care useful, helpful, and friendly. Easy to talk to. One very domestic gentleman didn't have to be instructed. He was totally domesticated - a very rare person indeed.
Purple Care was recommended to me by social services, we had never had to use a care company before so were very worried about the whole process. They sent a manager out to discuss everything and assess my dad. The carers were all lovely and it was like having a friend visit my dad, he looked forward to the visit, they did more than they were paid to do, went to the shop, organised doctors visits and always kept the family in touch with any issues. Sadly my dad passed away but I just wanted to publicly say a big thank you to the company and its carers.
Purple Care was chosen by the NHS when my elderly mother was discharged from hospital during the Covid pandemic. Mum had never needed care before, as she had always lived independently, and we were a little worried about having the carers at this time. Mum was in the vulnerable, at-risk group due to her age and health, and was recovering from a stoma operation. Everything has gone really well so far, and we are really impressed by the quality of the carers who have looked after mum. They are genuinely lovely and caring people, who take their time and help Mum with all her needs. We have regular carers, and in 35 visits so far, have only had three different carers, with two doing most visits. What really impressed us is that one of the carers is stoma trained, and he was doubled up with the other two to instruct them in the stoma on their first visits. They have sufficient PPE, which is reassuring at this time. Many thanks for helping Mum at this difficult time.
