View Full Details of Helping Hands Home Care (Dartford)Thank you so much for your prompt and continued help in providing my father with support following a recent fall. The on call team and local branch manager responded promptly and swiftly in putting into place a plan to support him and also continue to arrange on going support in these recent weeks, re arranging the same carer val and another carer to support. Thank you so much very appreciated.
The last 4 days of care that my husband had with you were all friendly helpful and caring. They also helped me through a very difficult time. I had to increase the hours and it was done speedly and without any fuss.
Only a recent user of Helping Hands for my mum and so far we are very pleased with the choice of carers the company has provided. So far this was a good family choice and hopefully, it will continue. We would recommend their services.
I have nothing but praise for the care given to my mother over the last 9 months. My mother has Alzheimers and everyone at Helping Hands Dartford has been so supportive, which has been a massive help given that this is the first time we had arranged external care for my mother. All the staff in the office have always been there to discuss any issues that arise, I have always been informed immediately when any issues have arisen relating to my mothers care and all the carers have been so kind and caring with my mother. I would also like to make a special mention to my mothers main and regular carer, she has been brilliant with my mother and even highlighted issues that we were unaware of with my mothers health that we have been able to progress with the GP and arrange for ongoing treatment. I cannot recommend Helping Hands Dartford highly enough and we would happily use them again if the situation arose.
I broke my left arm on September 30th 2023. It was in a sling for 6 weeks so I could not shower myself or dress myself. Helping Hands came to my rescue and my carers were excellent. The only problem was that they could only come at 7am - 7:30 on Sundays. I found it a long day but understand you are short of carers. I would recommend Helping Hands to anyone needing care.
All recent carers I have had have been like friends and I look forward to seeing them.
The carers we currently have on a regular basis are very good. Some are excellent! We are very sad to have lost some outstanding carers this year! This year, I have trained many carers (new to the house). I have done the job for the carers, showering them/what needs to be done whilst paying for the carer to be there! I am interested in your response to this, as I feel it's not very fair.
I am very pleased with the carer, always on time. She cleans and hoovers very well. Always ask if she can do anything else.
The initial interview meeting was very lengthy in terms of the number of questions asked and this could not have happened if I had not been present to support my mum who has dementia. Having said that I am aware of the need for the collection of this information. The manager attending was professional and friendly. Mum's carer was bubbly, and friendly and established a good rapport with mum and cared for her very well indeed during my holiday break.
I have been so impressed and grateful for the care my cousin has been given. The staff in the office are always so helpful and the carers so caring and thoughtful. During lockdown, when I have been unable to visit I have been reassured that she is in good hands. She fell recently and the care she was afforded when found on the floor was second to none. I am her closest living relative and live an hour and a half drive away but I was kept informed the whole time. When the ambulance man spoke to me he was extremely complimentary about the carer who was there and the on-call staff. I am so glad I found Helping Hands when trying to sort care for my cousin. I can’t thank or praise the Dartford staff highly enough! I would also like to say thank you for the updates we have received during lockdown.
My mum had been in hospital twice following two falls at her home. As a 73-year-old who has lived in her home for more than 30 years, she did not want to consider sheltered accommodation or a home at this stage. I had a look in the local area for some home help and following an initial inquiry with the manager at Helping Hands Dartford, I discussed with Mum and we decided to give Helping Hands a go as the manager had made me feel comfortable that they could do what Mum required. We opted for three times a week, Mum needed help more on the domestic side than personally, also the company and seeing someone three times a week was important. We have now been using Helping Hands for a month and Mum has been really pleased with the support she has been given. All the carers have been lovely and nothing is too much trouble! They will do a variety of tasks she cants manage, such as bed making, hoovering, etc. Importantly she told me recently how she looks forward to the visits and enjoys the company.
