View Full Details of Home Instead (Warwick & Heartlands)We have been clients of Home Instead for over two years and have received an excellent service throughout that time. The admin team are always helpful and responsive while the carers are friendly, professional and very caring. Recently, the amount of care needed has significantly increased and we can't thank Home Instead enough for the speed in getting more carers in. In particular the way carers stay with my step-mum if she needs more time is a great relief to her and me. We thoroughly recommend Home Instead to anyone requiring support and help in all stages of ageing.
This staff member, is a wonderful caring and very professional care giver. She sets a shining example for her profession. she had the artiste and fence to take a leafing role in this profession,
With ever changing updates due to my aunt's needs, it has taken a while to get things running smoothly. I have been able to make contact when needed and things have been acted on quickly. My aunt now feels comfortable with her care.
We were first recommended to Home Instead when my wife's regular care was needed. By the end of her life, she was being visited four times a day and also three night sits to allow me to catch up with sleep. Also for two-day visits to allow me to get to my own affairs. A good routine was quickly established. All are very adult and competent women. In time their visits became a good social focus of the day for my increasingly housebound wife. Her mental health was supported too by this as the carers became a trusted group who gained her love and respect. Whenever there were issues they were promptly resolved. Great care was taken to make sure my wife's safety was assured with careful monitoring of medication and reporting in their logs of any concerns and issues relating to the carer's responsibilities. A strong caring ethos was shown by all staff. The staff were supported by the efficiency of office staff. Regular reviews of the package were helpful too.
Over nearly 4 years my cousin received full-time home care. The management and carers were unfailingly professional and over time several of the carers became very close to my cousin with a mutual family-like relationship. Her needs were always taken care of and appropriate help and encouragement were given during the ups and downs of her condition. She was immensely grateful for the unfailing help, companionship and friendship that she received making her final years bearable despite her declining health. On a personal level, I was grateful for the support that we, as her fairly remote family, received in ensuring that our cousin was cared for in the way in which she desired. We could be confident that our cousin was being cared for with professionalism and dignity which was very reassuring.
It was life-changing when, 6 months ago, I asked Home Instead to help me support my 93-year-old father (who has Alzheimer's Disease) to continue living independently in his own home. Not only has their involvement reduced the stress in my own life, I am delighted to say it has also significantly raised the quality of Dad's life in ways I didn't think would be possible. I cannot speak highly enough of his lovely carer. She is warm, friendly and extremely thoughtful. It is to her credit that Dad greets her cheerfully, enjoys her company and even goes out to lunch with her once a week! This is truly a transformation! His home is now sparkling clean, his bed and clothes are washed and changed regularly and he is eating well. Strategies have been introduced to help Dad remember important tasks and his carer has initiated many of these. She is sensitive to Dad's needs, encourages him and even seeks out shared activities to do that reflect his interest in maths and mechanical engineering!
Home Instead without any prior notice put together a team to provide 24-hour live-in care for December including Christmas and into the new year. They demonstrated flexibility in tapering the level of care to meet changing requirements on a day-to-day basis. Excellent service.
We used Home Instead before for my mother and were very happy. The manager was attentive and sensitive to our requirements. She understood our needs and dealt with my parents' concerns extremely well. After my mother died, I didn't think we would use Home Instead again, but my father, although living independently, is 95 and does not look after himself in the same way as he used to. The manager knows him, from Mum, so we had a meeting. As expected she understood our needs straight away and knew exactly the right lady to help Dad. We are at the beginning of our journey with carers but I wholeheartedly trust Home Instead to be respectful, and efficient in order that Dad's needs are met, even though he may not want help and friendship.
