View Full Details of Great Prospects CareThe staff have been very caring and dedicated. When we started working with Great Prospects it took a while to find the right balance for my father, however, the service in the last few months especially, has been excellent. We have been listened to and our needs are being met as a family. Many thanks!
The service is continually improving. Initially, it was challenging to have the same caregivers consistently, which is important for saving time. Some caregivers learn quickly, while others repeatedly ask the same questions and are less helpful. However, most of them are generally friendly and helpful. I value service continuity and friendly caregivers, as they make me feel comfortable and happy.
Dad’s carers are all lovely people, they are kind, respectful, and polite. They are very good at communicating with both Dad and myself. We like that as often as possible Dad sees the same carers which means we can build a relationship with them. The few problems we have had have been dealt with promptly.
Carers are great, they are extremely caring and communicate well with my mother. They highlight if there are any issues or concerns. Can't really fault them to be honest, the staff are very caring. I pay for additional calls when I can't get in there to ensure that she drinks plenty of fluids, where they have either lovely chats or ask her quizzes which she loves.
Friendly, empathetic, flexible, competent and punctual. My mother is delighted with the standard and diligence of her carers. She also likes the consistency - the same carers call most days. She says they are very kind.
The quality and patience the carers from the firm give my mother is fantastic. They show true dedication to their job, which I must say is not an easy one. I can honestly say without their help and support I could not keep my mother safely at home, where I know she wants to be. All I can say is thank you!
Some of the staff are very professional (I would give names) and proactive and know what to do, but others have to be told what to do, which is not ideal. But overall, the care is good, but I asked for only female carers, but at least two male carers were set. Continuity of experienced carers would be welcomed.
We cannot fault any member of the caring team that look after my husband. They are always kind and considerate. They are sociable and always have a smile on their face. Due to a lack of communication with the office, we are not always aware of planned alterations to the carers rota. We understand that unforeseen circumstances can occur and do accept this. When I have had to speak to the office staff, they have always been helpful.
I am very happy with the care my mother receives from Great Prospects carers. They are all polite and friendly and carry out all the care my mother needs, getting washed and dressed in the mornings and ready for bed in the evenings. They are always punctual arriving between their allotted time. My mother is very happy and pleased with all her carers.
The carers we have had have gone above and beyond. My mum is bedridden. Although I worry about them, at times there has been no transport for them and they have arrived by bus, rain or shine. They always arrive with a smile on their faces, even though the journey has been stressful. This is a concern, we are end of life and it is important to maintain a stress-free environment. The carers are 100% committed, I am grateful to them every day.
Can't fault the care and attention to my husband. They are calm, patient and friendly. Sometimes they are the only people I see all week, which lifts my mood. They take their time with someone who can be difficult. They explain everything to my husband as they go along. Excellent service.
We are really happy with the care our disabled daughter is receiving from Great Prospects Care with full-time carers. Our daughter is a very medically complex young lady and the carers are all lovely with her and we trust them all with her. We would love all of the carers to learn to put her in the car in her wheelchair and drive her to appointments or out to the shops etc. We are a bit concerned that if she has a broken nail carers are not allowed to trim it for her and she has to wait until we visit which is a little frustrating as sometimes we can't get there just to trim a nail and if it has broken down low it can be sore! I wonder if there's a way a disclaimer could be signed to say that she and we give permission for carers to trim a nail using clippers if it's broken as they are unlikely to cause bleeding. The carers are always so polite. Some interact with our daughter better than others and being autistic can be difficult for her but on the whole, we are impressed!
Prior to Great Prospects Care, I was unlucky to have a number of different carers who were unprofessional on all levels. Since having Great Prospects Care, I have been blown away by the professionalism, kindness and care given to my mother by the carers she has. They are amazing, gentle and kind. I would highly recommend Great Prospects Care. Many thanks for all you do.
Looking after someone is a special job and it takes a special kind of person to be a carer. This is why we are so happy with the carers from Great Prospects Care, who tend to Mum's immediate personal care needs, including washing, dressing and continence support. They are compassionate, patient, friendly and with good communication skills - essential due to Mum's Alzheimer's. They also make a difference in mine and my sister's lives. It is because of the carers that my sister and I are able to manage the shared live-in caring of our mum.
Professional and caring in all aspects - reliable and sensitive in dealing with emotional aspects affecting the main carer of the service user. Nothing is too much trouble and if it is in their capacity to do, they will help. I would be lost without this support through difficult times.
All carers have gone out of their way to show kindness whilst administering the care needed to a sometimes difficult client who does not always appreciate what is best for him. They all have a caring and positive attitude to his circumstances, this is important with someone who can become fed up with his situation and also encourage him to be included in their converstaion.
Excellent company. The carers are very good at caring for my elderly mother. She has the same carers which I feel is very important as my mother knows them and they know what her needs are. They are very kind and considerate, very good with all care and medication. Any concerns are dealt with promptly and efficiently.
Could not have asked for better overnight care for Mum. Staff were great at looking after her and encouraging her. Nothing was too much trouble, her bubbly kind attitude was just what was needed. This was an emergency short-term placement and the manager was so good at getting it sorted and put in place for us.
I have four carers visit a complex young person that my wife and I foster, the carers that visit are at our home twice a day morning and afternoon at a time when the young person finds difficult and will display challenging behaviour that is dealt with in the most appropriate manner. There is never panic or overreacting in these sometimes difficult situations. When the young person has to wait regularly causes anxiety which results in aggressive outbursts that need to be dealt with in the correct way so being punctual is of high importance. Carers entertain by playing board games and cards or singing along to favoured tunes.
