View Full Details of Helping Hands Home Care (Beverley)After an initial period, the service has settled into an efficient and very satisfying person, with all carers arriving on time and being attentive, patient and caring. Your care person was particularly thoughtful and caring and went "the extra mile".
I am very happy with the service I receive and I would not be without it.
This is to confirm we have had excellent service from Helping Hands Home Care (Beverley) since starting with them first over two years ago. All the carers who carry out the visits each morning for domiciliary care are very pleasant, thoughtful and professional in their work. We have had Helping Hands Home Care (Beverley) name mentioned are the church we normally attend.
Some carers are very good. Overall service is let down by the increasing number of different carers visiting each week which since our mother lives with Alzheimer's is not helpful. Communication between the office and the client's daughters could improve, please.
Well looked after and very kind and caring.
Very helpful and caring. Performs duties with good effort and good time management. Pleasant and approachable.
Reliable and useful service.
My carers have been excellent and looked after me well. I like having the same ones when possible and we get to know each other. Well done to them all.
Helping Hands Home Care (Beverley) has been used by me over the last few years from three different sources. Helping Hands Home Care (Beverley) is much the best organisation of those 3 locally obtained services. At a recent crisis for my daughter/carer's return during the rail strikes Helping Hands Home Care (Beverley) were very flexible in changing/covering my already arranged slots of staff so I was looked after (hard job organising variable needs/part-time staff/wide travel area) Most carers are very good.
Your staff are very kind and caring and always willing to do anything required we as a family really appreciate the help you provide to our mother since she fell and broke he hip.
We have now got the arrangements we require and are quite happy with the service and care my wife is receiving.
I'm very happy with Helping Hands Home Care (Beverley & Hull), very easy to book a carer. The carers always on time and very polite. I get a break every 4 weeks from caring for my wife so I book helping hands for 2 one hour visit every 4 weeks. My wife gets on with the carer very good, she is outstanding and very caring. I don't need to worry if there going to turn up because I know they will turn up, when I get in from my trip there is nothing for me to do because the carer has done everything needed.I rate helping hands 10/10 service is outstanding and great.
I live some distance from my mum and during the lockdown period when we were unable to visit it was a huge source of comfort to know how well supported she was by all the Helping Hands team and for us to have complete confidence in their quality of service. We hold all the carers in very high regard and have nothing but positive feedback regarding the care and support, both emotional and physical that our mum receives, especially when we were unable to be there. Time and again carers have gone over and above what we could possibly expect and we owe a huge debt of gratitude to all care staff and administrators for everything they are continuing to do through these difficult times. Thank you all.
I have been using Helping Hands for a year now. I have had occasional changes of carers due to carers having to move on for personal reasons but if possible Helping Hands maintain continuity and send me the same carer so that I don’t continually have to repeat instructions. I can honestly say that I have very much liked all my carers. They have been excellent at timekeeping and extremely reliable. They have been totally professional in their care. The manager is extremely well organised, communication between us is easy and she usually replies immediately to any queries. She matches me up with carers very well so that we usually have one or more interests in common. I was greatly comforted when Helping Hands assured us that they would continue to care for us at home during this COVID period. The carers have been meticulously using their PPE. I have recommended Helping Hands to several friends and will continue to do so.
I approached Helping Hands in Beverley privately after we had some issues with provided carers. We needed care at short notice to replace another care agency, and weren't then sure if it would be long term. Unlike other care agencies, the first step was a friendly interview (discussion) which given our circumstances was easier for me to do as a family member. Lots of attentive questions and particular attention paid to both the health needs and the personality of the person being looked after and their wishes, treating them like a person, and with respect. An introductory care visit by senior people and then regular care visits. Despite challenges, Helping Hands have provided a great and adaptable service and they've shown they care very much not only for the person they're looking after, but also for their staff and their wellbeing. Providing care is hard. Some staff have gone above and beyond on multiple occasions. I'd definitely recommend them. I wish all care agencies were as good.
Although my parents, both in their 90's, are still in their own home, it came to a point a year or so ago when my dad needed a bit more help with bathing. If he had fallen, my mum wouldn't have been able to lift him. So, after calling into the Beverley office of Helping Hands for some advice, we decided this was the right route to go. My dad is a very private and proud man but the two main carers who visit, fully respect my dad's dignity and he has grown to trust them, even to the point of sharing a few laughs! We now have extra visits as time has gone on to help my mum with a bit of housework and some shopping during the coronavirus pandemic. It is also a bit of company for my mum as she is unable to get away from home as often as she used to. It is a real testimony to the Helping Hands staff that they have been fully accepted and welcomed by my parents who have always been independent and self-sufficient and it has been hard to let some of that go.
Engagement for care, of both parents, was really supportive and empathetic from the manager, she covered all details, many I didn't think of. Start of service was immediate, the relationship between parents and carer was a big concern for me, as without this I didn't feel it would work. I didn't need to worry, carer matched with my parents was excellent. She is totally caring by nature and is professional and precise, whether with medicine administration or personal care. Always providing agreed hours and not rushing parents to get things done. Costs are fair, as I know some providers can short change on time on site, but our carer is always on time. Corona was a particular worry, but due to full PPE and full hygiene process, my parents are safe. So have to say big thank you to all concerned, living over 100 miles away, I have comfort in knowing my parents are very well cared for.
My father has advanced dementia and was becoming difficult for our previous care provider to manage. We turned to Helping Hands, and their experienced carer has really made a positive change to his life and helped improve his general wellbeing. Their administration is also first class. They make sure all the necessary procedures are in place prior to commencing care, and they regularly contact us to provide updates and to see if we have any concerns. It really improves my peace of mind to know my father is receiving quality care from Helping Hands.
Helping Hands have been very reliable when looking after my father. The carers are friendly and efficient. On occasions when an overnight stay was needed due to lack of mobility, this was put in place the same day. They have also gone beyond what was necessary in their remit to assist, for example queueing for prescriptions outside the pharmacy for a considerable time during the covid lockdown.
From start to finish Helping Hands has been amazing. They helped my granny when we were really struggling to cope. After months of trying to get some help, the manager came and had set up a care plan for my granny within a week. Everyone I have come across in the company has been exceptionally pleasant and helpful. My granny's carer has changed her life, and there is no-one else I would trust to look after granny than Helping Hands.
