View Full Details of Helping Hands Home Care (Tunbridge Wells)Helping Hands are very approachable and the staff are so caring at all levels. Respectful, caring and incredibly supportive of clients aims and ambitions. We feel very lucky to have found them. They listen, are very helpful and hygiene is as paramount to them as us. All needs met with dignity to clients well being.
From the moment I met one staff member in particular from Helping Hands, I felt safe leaving my mum in their care. Mum has been very happy and settled in the carers hands. Before they started, she was adamant that she didn't want strangers in her house. She has changed her mind completely and is very happy. I have spoken to a couple of the ladies who help mum, also speaking to both two staff members in particular. Every one of them has been superb and lovely, caring people with mum's well being and happiness a priority. I have recently had some issues with mum and one staff member in particular talked to mum about it all and helped her understand. Not easy with Alzheimer, but one staff member in particular went above and beyond to ease my worries. I can't recommend the company and everyone I have dealt with highly enough. Thank you so much.
My husband has been receiving day care from Helping Hands for several years. The carers have all been friendly and kind and able to deal with any situation. Recently it was necessary for me to go away for a few days and Live In Care was provided by the Day Care team. This meant that the carers knew my husband and his ways and they also knew our home. The two managers in the Tunbridge Wells office spent a lot of time talking to me and then devised the timetable for the carers. This had to be tweaked a few times during the week as my husband's needs changed. Thanks to the managers and the carers I was able to spend some much needed time with family. While I was away I was able to relax and not worry about my husband, the managers had told me that Helping Hands would cope and they certainly did. I now feel that I can look forward to having another break in a few months time. I would have no hesitation in recommending Helping Hands.
Absolutely excellent care and service. Extremely helpful and willing and very peaceful around the House. She is most adaptable and fits in with all that I am in need of and also very encouraging and cheerful and very pleasant to have around. She also knows when to disappear during visitors visiting unless they are professional people dealing with the reason for her actually being at Woodland. She is very flexible when she takes her two hours off and fits in generally all around and sees things that need to be done without asking. She is chatty when the occasion arises and just very pleasant and a delight to have at Woodland. As I am improving hugely every day she has adapted so well to this situation. I'm so glad that we were put in touch with Helping Hands through the Macmillan Service though subsequently discovered other friends had been helped enormously by your caring and supportive organisation from the organiser who visited me initially and carried out the introduction of the carer.
I was very pleased with the service we received. Our need for a carer happened suddenly and so the speed with which an assessment was arranged and then a carer put in place was very important and everything was arranged as promised. The carers we had were excellent and it was a great relief to us to know that our dear mother was being cared for as well as possible. All in all an excellent experience and I would recommend them.
I realised very quickly that Helping Hands were going to do just that. The managers were professional, thorough and understanding. The staff were all absolutely exceptional, with no exceptions. Overall the key themes were kindness and staff giving their all. When my father died our carer was hugely supportive as were the managers.
Helping Hands have helped look after my parents for a number of years. It has been a complex placement but our area manager has gone above and beyond to ensure that we feel supported. When there have been problems she has reassured us and dealt with them as soon as possible to take the pressure off us.
Helping Hands were very efficient from the start. Finding a suitable live-in carer for my mother-in-law's needs. The carer they matched has been very hands-on, kind and thoughtful and has dealt well with all her needs which are not always easy with her Alzheimers and Dementia. With their help, she has been able to remain in her home with her pets as she wished. Still early days but hopefully with continued support she will be able to continue living there.
Helping Hands delivered the most impressive 180 in October 2022 since a certain British political leader reversed a disastrous economic plan! Fortunately for my family and to Helping Hands' credit this was all in their favour and to our family's benefit! After an initial administrative mistake, Helping Hands contacted me, owned the issue, apologised and reassured me that they would get to the bottom of things in order to deliver the services for which they are so well respected. A few days later, and due to circumstances beyond anyone's control, I had cause to request an urgent care package of them. Helping Hands delivered! My family will be forever grateful for the speed, diligence, professionalism and humanity with which Helping Hands accepted our request within the day and coordinated additional cover to begin the very next day! Kudos and much respect to the Helping Hands team.
I have been with my main carer for 3 years now. She is a professional providing a vital service daily to me and is capable of dealing with any aspects of my daily care, needs and well being. She can deal with everything, from household matters to holding one of my parties, or medical matters successfully. She is always available for me at all times when she is needed. She provided vital carrying service during a short illness I had this month. All aspects of nursing, communicating with the surgery and out of hours services, pharmacist, administering medicines and my well being were dealt in a professional and successful way once again.
From the moment I met with the manager, I knew this was the right company for my mum. Communication has been excellent and the carers really do care. I can now be my mum's son again and not her carer.
We have used Helping Hands to look after our parents for the last 2 years and have found their service and staff outstanding. In particular, our care co-ordinator works tirelessly when there are any problems. The carers provided are wonderful and have kept our parents safe.
My 90 year old mother has received wonderful live-in care from her two experienced carers who alternate. It gives me total peace of mind, knowing that as I drive away from seeing her, she is safe and well looked after in the comfort of her own home.
Being the daughter of two parents both with terminal cancer and with no help from social services or neighbourhood support teams, a relative of mine got me details regarding this care provider (Helping Hands Live in Care South West). To be honest I don't think that I would have coped at all without the kind support of the live in carer who even helped with advice on what to do and what equipment I needed to bring my parents into the family house again. I have indeed brought our carer into our family as a member of the family and a friend. Excellent support for both my parents and indeed myself. Thank you. I have found that there is compassion with my carer and both my parents are also fond of him. As for the company manager, herself was kind, compassionate, helpful, nothing too much bother. I would certainly recommend this care provider to anyone.
Excellent and invaluable service. My carer can deal with all household matters. This is especially valuable for someone like me who is no longer mobile. My carer deals with the daily tasks in a pleasant and willing manner and is prepared to be available at all times.
