View Full Details of Home Instead (Salisbury and Romsey)Care assistance was limited to one hour morning for washing and dressing, just for three weeks. At first, also one hour evening for bedtime, this for only one week because my wife's behaviour was quite unpredictable. The visits worked well, my wife I and were always pleased when the carers came.
My carer is very helpful and willing to do anything I ask.
Having had a helper from another provider, whilst I was grateful for the help, they did not meet the standard of work I expected. My experience with Home Instead has both delighted and surprised me. The quality of the work is extremely high, coupled with the cheerful attitude of my helper who I am very happy to have in my home.
We have been working alongside the caring and compassionate team at Home Instead on a daily basis for around 2 years now. Their carers are utterly professional, reliable and always adaptable to the ever-changing needs of the client (who thinks they are 'amazing'). The team are kind, experienced, hardworking and cheerful company. They are an invaluable support. Thank you.
Our family has been using Home Instead for the past few years, starting with just a few hours a day but quickly moving to live in and now looking at 24/7 care as our parents become more frail and at greater risk. The relationship with Home Instead, while entirely professional and scrupulously correct in every way, has also been one of friendship, companionship, sensitivity and inclusion of the whole family. We have had several changes of key staff but this has been done in a very careful handover with the manager making sure that everyone is comfortable with the new arrangement. We cannot recommend them highly enough.
The care provided by the whole team at Home Instead (Salisbury) really has been second to none and these comments come from the experience of alternative care providers for other relatives. Over the last 3 years the care provided for my aunt has enabled her to stay in her own home for as long as possible, it has allowed me to manage her care from a distance but more importantly it gave her the companionship and emotional support through all the difficulties and challenges that arise during the progressive stages of vascular dementia. I have found the responsiveness and compassion of the senior management team to be exemplary, they support their carers and lead by example, I couldn't have done this without them.
Very prompt, helpful and caring. Management very attentive to needs of client and carer.
I am the sole carer for my husband and I approached Home Instead when I needed some ‘live-in care’ for him as I had to go into hospital. The carers who provided that care were kind, compassionate and respectful of his needs. We now have two 1-hour visits to help with household chores which takes some of the pressure from me and gives my husband interaction with another understanding adult. I would recommend Home Instead without reservation.
I have nothing but praise for the carers, in fact, the whole team, from first contact onward, have been excellent. Mum’s situation, like many with Alzheimer’s, is very difficult at times and we have had another care provider appointed by the council, sadly they were not very good and Mum (95 years old) was very distressed by their sitting service. There was no misconduct, just that the carers were obviously not trained and skilled in dealing with someone living with Alzheimer’s. The Home Instead team were so very different. From the first moment they met Mum, they took the initiative and were warm and friendly, calling her by her name and gaining her trust and attention. Mum, who can get very cross and hateful at times, loved the carers, it meant Dad (also 95) could get up and sort himself out in the morning without feeling anxious that Mum would be worse when the carers left. Superb service, I would recommend Home Instead every time.
Home Instead Salisbury has been providing companionship care and meals for my mum, for nearly a year. I can say that contacting them has been a game changer (for me), as I and mum navigate her senior years. Mum has the same care workers every week, who are kind, caring, and compassionate. Any changes are quickly resolved by the friendly staff in the office and I know that I can always rely on care being provided. Thank you to all for the amazing care.
Our Home Instead care experience for my mother has been very positive. Starting with the initial assessment and implementation of the care plan and the wonderful carers who come daily to attend to my mother. Such a lovely team of exceptional people who are kind, bright, responsive and very hard-working. My mother is calm, happy and balanced and has been and continues to be well supported during a recent bereavement.
I am very happy with all aspects of my care.
Outstanding, flexible and compassionate support after hip fracture.
My sister has been cared for by Home Instead (Salisbury) for nearly four years and they have been fantastic, including through the Covid pandemic. They go the extra mile to help their client's wellbeing, including helping them find activities to do, to socialise, and just for company, including already this month a little outing for tea. They keep me fully informed of my sister's wellbeing and anything planned that is not routine. They don't just care for my sister, they support me too by looking after her so well.
I cannot say enough good things about the ladies from Home Instead who have worked for me, they are caring, compassionate and kind. They will do anything within their remit to make me feel safe and included within the human race.
I need help each morning to hoist me from my bed to my wheelchair and then prepare me for the day while my husband prepares breakfast. A carer from Home Instead helps with these tasks. We alternate between two experienced and friendly carers that know my routine. Office support is good with the phone answered promptly even in response to the occasional out-of-hours emergency.
I am very happy with the care given to me from Home Instead.
Very supportive, always kind and attentive. All carers work with us to keep things familiar and safe for my mum. Communications with the Salisbury Office are especially good. They always inform me of changes to the rota etc.
I find the service very good.
Home Instead took excellent care of my wife during the last few weeks of her life, suffering from Alzheimer's. They showed outstanding kindness and compassion to us all during this difficult time. The management specially selected carers best able to cope with the dementìa situation and ensured that the same team provided the care throughout the period. I would not hesitate in giving this company a high recommendation.
