View Full Details of Helping Hands Home Care (Macclesfield)From my initial contact with them until my mother had to move into a care home, Helping Hands in Macclesfield were responsive, understanding and helpful. The management team did all that they could to meet our needs, proving to be highly flexible as my mother’s needs changed. Although she was looked after by a large team of varying carers, all of them were patient, kind and understanding. The carers were completely reliable, always arriving on time, and they communicated well between members of team, with me and with management. My mother enjoyed chatting to the carers and they were effective in assisting her with all her daily requirements.
This carer started in December 2023. From that first night, we felt completely at ease and most importantly, my husband was very comfortable with her. As I had not been well and was exhausted from months of sleepless nights, she was I felt that she was as concerned about me as she was about my husband. Without being intrusive in any way, she took over the care of my husband and even offered to bring me a cup of tea (in the spare room) the following morning before she left. I was quite overwhelmed and had the best night's sleep for a long time and woke to a lovely cup of tea. Before leaving, I was she gave me a full update of all that had happened with my husband and I was very impressed by her attention to him. At every visit, she continues to help, support, and reassure us. My husband has improved noticeably since she started coming. She has made a huge difference to our lives - for the better!
The whole process from the first phone call to the continued support for my dad has been very good. The carers and staff are really friendly and helpful. Dad's carers make sure he is up, washed and in clean clothes with a meal before leaving. He really enjoys their company and they have made a big improvement to his daily routine and general enjoyment of life. Since they started more regular visits he seems much happier and confident. Thank you.
Helping Hands Macclesfield have provided an invaluable service to my parents over the last two years, allowing them to remain in their own home and maintain the dignity and independence they deserve. Both parents have dementia and the staff have always been respectful, caring, patient and understanding. Indeed, some of the staff have formed close bonds with our parents. This has meant so much. The management at the Macclesfield branch have been amazing - extremely attentive, always responsive and flexible (e.g. changing the rota plans at short notice). From previous difficulties trying to find the right care provider for my parents, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Helping Hands Macclesfield above all others.
Flexible, attentive, thoughtful, cheery, professional, empathetic and patient - we've been really impressed by the manager and her team at Helping Hands. And the carer, on a regular basis, as well as the other carer of late, have both been a great support to Mum.
It is so reassuring to know that my grandmother has and will continue to be in such great care. Seeing how each carer comes and helps my grandmother has been so lovely and each one has been absolutely amazing. You can really tell that they care for their clients and make sure that they are as comfortable and happy as possible.
The care team were friendly, efficient and caring. They did everything asked of them and more! I like that they shared their lives with Mum. It made them feel less of a stranger to Mum and more part of the family. Thank you all for the work you do!
I have found all the carers to be pleasant and friendly. I enjoy chatting with them as they help me to wash and dress. They always ask if there is anything else they can do to help. Sometimes there is washing to be folded and put away. My midday meal is prepared for me before they leave.
Carers are respectful, kind and efficient. I have some most interesting conversations. The office personnel are also excellent. I have recommended Helping Hands to several people.
