View Full Details of Delta Care Ltd - BlackpoolAlways late unless you get a carer that is decent, some have no idea how to use a microwave. One was scared of our friendly dog so she won't be coming back. She wasn't able to get my partner up due to being too small and was very little help after I got him up. The whole point of having carers is to take the strain off myself as I'm up in the night caring for my partner, and just lately waking up in the morning due to their lateness. Best carer has been a young lady, I give her 5 stars.
I have been a client since November 2023. I have had mixed experiences. But I find that it doesn't matter what the carers do wrong, the manager defends them. I have continued to be made to feel like the carers have the right to do what they like. We did have a meeting with a social worker which in my view was just a witch hunt. It was all turned around on me and all about my behaviour. No mention of how the carers were, just my fault. I no longer trust them. I don't even want to let in the decent carers as I know if anything goes wrong I'm not believed or should I say, the manager turns a blind eye. I don't understand the point of a care company that doesn't care for its clients. I'm done.
Really happy with the company chosen for my dad, after him being in hospital for 5 months, to came home to a care company to help ease the stress, and fantastic staff who went above and beyond for my dad's care. Really appreciate it massively.
My dad lives with us he is 89 years old. We have had amazing care, especially from two particular carers. I have been in the care business either working myself or with different family members and know enough of what goes on. I was not looking forward to going through the care at home again, but my worries were taken away when the two carers started to help with the care for Dad. These two men go above and beyond to help. My dad had a stroke and they took the time and patience with my dad. He is back out of bed, short walks to get him out in the wheelchair for short trips out to the cafe or a push along the promenade, something my dad thought he would never do again. My dad always tells me he's very lucky to have such good carers. Delta has had good communication, and most of the time, timekeeping is good. We as a family, are very pleased that Delta took care of my dad's care package and would recommend them. If there was an award for carers, I would put forward my dad's two cares forward as they are amazing
I am happy with the care my dad receives. I like the consistency of the carers provided. The trust between the carers and my dad and I is very important to me. The fact that the carers know my dad well enough to notice when he might have a problem and alert me promptly is very valuable.
The staff at Delta Care have been more than satisfactory when it comes to my condition of epilepsy which includes on some days a short-term memory loss. The staff arrived twice every day promptly and witnessed that I had taken my medication. Without them, there is a probability or certainty that sooner or later I would not take my medication or take too much of it which would lead to serious consequences. The several, every one of the staff I've met has always been friendly, and as well as them being there for any of the help and advice that I have needed, they have not allowed any self-confidence and self-respect to decrease and have encouraged me to still be independent as possible. I can also say that the staff that I have met have all been welcome into my home without me having to have any doubt or fear of any dishonesty or anything criminal.
Weekly carers are excellent, not as good for weekends.
Terrible company, I don't think they've turned up on time once, and we never receive a phone call or some kind of heads up. Had issues with them not washing my mum, they've left her on the commode and gone home, clearly many of the staff are completely untrained. If I try and complain to them I never get the call back I'm promised.
My mother has been given this care company as her health has deteriorated enough that she needs someone to help remind her to take medications and take her around. One of the carers is very lovely and always makes my mum smile when she comes around and makes her feel 10x better.
Need more training. I asked for a salmon sandwich and the salmon was put in the microwave. No meals. They will not wash dishes or put them away. Most carers are late. Most workers are late on Sunday, they say it's the Sabbath. Most workers are late every meal time. They think all bread has to be toasted. One said no to washing clothes. She sat down to have a banana and bottle of water and broke her fast and logged out on my time.
Today my cameras went live in my uncle's house as he was upset that no one was talking to him. We have been there a couple of times when the carer has said yes I always wash him, 30 seconds later to say where's his wash stuff? He asked for a cheese toastie, they put cheese between 2 slices of bread, microwaved it and gave it to him. He is meant to have four half hour visits a day, plenty of time to sit and chat. For his evening meal, she was there exactly 10 mins and bedtime 1 minute 45 seconds. Disgusting Blackpool!. They were also meant to wash and cream his legs 4 times a day as we had them back to almost normal after 12 months of District nurses. When I checked his legs as the creams weren't being used they had broken out into a mess and District nurses are back. My poor uncle is 91, has onset dementia and is housebound. The only family is my mum who's 81 and not well and me who's in a wheelchair. It is theft to only work for 2 minutes when you're being paid for 30!
My partner was supplied this care agency due to the fact I had a stroke and as I was his full-time carer I could no longer care for him. We were disgusted with the service that my partner received. He was meant to have carers come at 9am and 5.30pm daily. But they would at times just come when they felt like it. As he is a diabetic, needs to eat at certain times but nearly every evening they could turn up way after 6 pm or near 7 pm which is no use for a diabetic. They would put the wrong eye drops in the wrong eyes. Going by their right and not his right. We had a foreign guy a couple of times who could not understand what we were saying and we struggled to understand him, as well as him having a very loud booming voice, not really appropriate for a carer. We have never even met any of the management team to even introduce the company or even check what our needs are. So we really don't advise anyone to use this company and thankfully we have been allocated another company.
Although I only needed their services for a short time, I was so impressed by their understanding and professionalism. They treated my partner with tenderness and care, making his last days comfortable and secure.
My father is currently being looked after by Delta Care. I can’t praise the staff enough. They visit four times a day and bring a smile to his face each time they visit. They are always respectful and very gentle in giving the care he needs. Special thanks to the team who have looked after him. I have only praise for all the girls who have visited. Thank you girls.
My mother is terminally ill and in need of constant care. The Delta Care team visit her 4 times a day to help with absolutely everything including help with a hoist in and out of bed and onto her commode. They fully assist her with a smile on their face and go the extra mile to make her comfortable, make her meals, wash up, empty the rubbish and everything else that she requires - including offering to pick anything up for her prior to there visit. I call all of these carers her angels and they are all absolutely lovely to her and me all of the time. During the last 7 weeks that they have been caring for my mum we have all become friends. During this difficult time, we could not have managed without them and I cannot compliment them enough. I would wholeheartedly fully recommend Delta Care and we are totally grateful for the great service
