View Full Details of Eleanor Nursing & Social Care Ltd - ChristchurchMy care package started on week beginning 21st October 2024 through social services and I have been really happy with Eleanor Care. The office staff and the carers are extremely understanding of how variable my long list of health problems can be as sometimes I have to cancel visits etc. My regular carer and I have built up a really good rapport with, she is so lovely and I'm completely comfortable with her. The other carers I also really like (as my one carer doesn't work Fridays). I have had a few other ladies but I can't remember their names. Anyway, overall I would recommend this company for home care. I used to work as a carer myself years ago before I became ill so I am very familiar with the expected standard of care and I am quite impressed with Eleanor so far. Thank you so much and keep up the good work.
Once the medication problems had been sorted out Eleanor Care have been good with my Dad. The staff seemed kind and conscientious, the only thing I didn't like was the visits seem to be very short at times, being a carer myself I thought that 15-minute visits had been ruled out as not enough time to do anything and some of the visits were shorter than that.
I have had some difficult situations with care staff leaving Gran's flat/bed in an unacceptable state of cleanliness in the past, this appears to have got a lot better in the last 6 months or so and Gran appeared to have mainly the same care people on a regular basis. My only fault would be that I and Gran do not want her stuck in bed at 10am onwards as she feels this is too late and is often wet and stuck there. But the management do their best to stay in contact and let me know to their knowledge what going on.
Overall the care for my wife is good. My point of attention is that communication could be improved especially when there is a change of time and or carers.
I couldn't manage my day without my carers. All staff are very considerate. Most carers are delightful and professional.
After 6 months of very poor care, I'm glad Eleanor Care won't be looking after my friend. Hours and care were skipped from the start. Some nice carers, but very poor management and communication, and the care plan were not appropriate. It was not adapted to her specific needs although they were highlighted. I would not recommend.
