View Full Details of Home Instead (Dartford)Mum's care professional couldn't have been better, she was incredibly well matched to mum's requirements and went above and beyond our expectations in providing companionship as well as getting domestic chores done quickly and without any fuss. Her visits lifted my mum's mood and gave her fresh conversation, which was exactly what was needed. We've only stopped the service at the moment because of changes at home, but if circumstances permit, we will not hesitate to return. On a few occasions when Mum's regular care professional was unavailable, a different care professional attended and also provided an excellent service.
Always have been very happy with the visits from the pro carers.
You can't fault them. They do all the jobs you ask them to do.
The care and support that has been provided for my mum has been outstanding. The assessment process was rigorous and ensured that the care professionals looking after my mum were carefully selected to meet her needs and interests. The follow-up and support have been excellent. This has been a very difficult time for my mum and for our family. However, the kindness, care, attention to small details and the relationships and trust that the care professionals have built with my mum have made a huge difference to us all. I highly recommend this care provider.
All the carers that look after my Mum are excellent. We have one member of staff who my Mum likes as she is very kind and caring towards her. She does one weekend in four and we have a different carer at the weekends as her normal lady doesn't do. Those other carers are also very good and respectful towards her.
We have been extremely happy with the care provided to Mum. Mum has an excellent relationship with her carer who really goes the extra mile. Mum looks forward to the visits and always says how lovely the carer is. The app is a brilliant way of keeping us informed and the office staff are wonderful and alert immediately us to any concerns there might be with Mum. Phone calls and emails are always answered promptly. It’s reassuring when not living locally, I can’t be there every day to know that Mum is being well looked after and supported with her Alzheimer’s. We are very grateful for the support Home Instead gives.
After my husband had his stroke and the set weeks from the NHS carers we were recommended to Home Instead (Dartford). The carers that have come every week from the 1st of June have been a ray of sunshine, supporting both of us, especially my husband encouraging him in speech, walking and in exercises and some household chores.
Home Instead - Dartford has been caring for our mum for the last few years. All of the carers go above and beyond to ensure Mum feels safe and comfortable. We are always altered to any issues immediately which gives us the peace of mind to know she is being looked after.
Cannot fault the compassion and care from my 'carer'.
The care I got was good and they always gave me enough time. They always came on time. They were friendly and caring. They helped me shower and dress. They prepared meals in the microwave, washed and did some basic cleaning. They helped with the laundry.
We contacted Home Instead because my elderly mother who now lives alone, following the sudden death of my father, was struggling with basic personal care and support to allow her to stay in the family home. We have found the company to be efficient and helpful and the carers to be of the highest standard. Mum has been treated with respect and made to feel her needs come first. This has helped make a difficult situation much easier for her and those who support her.
My carer is very friendly and easy to get on with. Always arrives on time and we are confident that she looks after and supports me well and with respect and kindness. We are very pleased with the service provided and see the caregiver as a friend.
Although we only were able to use this service for a couple of months, I was impressed by the care and support given to my ninety-four year old father. He managed to stay living independently and enjoyed the care and companionship the carers delivered. I would recommend this service as it was good value for money and the administration was great. The only reason we had to switch to a care home was due to the immobility of my father, requiring two helpers rather than one. I would like to praise one staff member in particular for her advice and care with my dad. Her patience was endless and she was such a happy person, despite the challenges from my dad’s dementia. Thank you all carers for keeping him safe and in his own home as long as possible.
We are entirely satisfied with the service supplied and would have no hesitation in recommending the company to others.
My mum has just reached the first anniversary of being under the care of Home Instead (Dartford) and their care professionals. During this year she has experienced only the best of care at all times. Mum's quality of life at home, under their care, has improved significantly, as has mine as I have not had any issues/concerns/problems to worry about. Having low stress/anxiety now has allowed myself and my family to relax and enjoy the company of my mum and also without very regular phone chats, full of happy topics and laughter. The care given so devotedly, especially by her main care professional, clearly shows in my mum's well-being and contentment.
The care professionals have been excellent. My mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in December of last year and the progression has been unexpectedly quick. The care professionals have always been professional and caring and the comments they put in their notes have really helped me to understand what is happening. They are responsible for reminding Mum to take her medication and cooking her lunch and preparing her tea. Often they note the food that she has enjoyed, which helps me when planning her food order. When we first looked at a home for Mum, she said that it was too far away from her friends, I asked who she meant and she said the girls that look after me. Well done to all of the lovely staff at Dartford Home Instead.
My mum has built up a good rapport with the caregivers and looks forward to their visits. It has been a very positive experience and they always keep me informed about how she is getting on. Excellent service.
The Home Instead team have been fantastic in helping my relative in many ways. The initial service for a care professional to help her look after her home and generally keep an eye on her was good and met every expectation. The service really came into its own when my relative was diagnosed with cancer and needed frequent trips to the hospital for radiotherapy and associated consultations. My relative has very little long-term memory and does not have any family locally to help her with arranging hospital appointments, let alone transport. The Home Instead team has been brilliant. Organising care professionals to go with her and arranging taxis. The hospital has canceled and rearranged appointments and Home Instead have managed every time to get her there. Absolutely fabulous - our family cannot thank you enough!
First time user of this company. The initial assesor was excellent and interested when he came for the initial visit. Mum was antagonistic about the whole affair but the assessor won her round. While we were away, the two carers were great, particularly one, because the other only had to make one visit, so I can't really judge. I felt very confident in the main carer. On our return from holiday, Mum barely mentioned the care she received at all - further proof that she did not want to engage, but I was very impressed, and it meant we could enjoy our break without constantly thinking about Mum. I will certainly use Home Instead again next time we go away.
Staff was so helpful and life saving when neither my sister nor I were able to attend a hospital appointment with Mum tomorrow and she found a carer that could take Mum for us and wait for her treatment to be done and bring her home. There were no problems with her arranging it even though I know Home Instead haven't always got enough carers to go around all the time. My sister was so impressed by the speed and efficiency of the staff and that goes for other times as well. My mums main carer is equally brilliant and my mum is very happy with her as I am. Well done Home Instead. We chose well.
