View Full Details of South Coast Home CareThe whole team at South Coast Home Care have been kind, caring, compassionate, friendly, efficient, professional and responsive to our needs. They put care in place on the day we asked for their help and managed to continue to adapt the plan we had quickly to suit our family's fast changing needs. The staff in the office went above and beyond to help - proactively liaising with other professionals involved in my mother's care and keeping us in the loop. The care they put in place was totally bespoke to our needs. The carers themselves were kind, gentle, calm and attentive. They made my mum feel safe and carried out their duties as she asked with her dignity and safety as a priority. We can't thank the whole team enough for all they've done to help to make a very difficult time for our family much easier and with such kindness too. We feel like they have wrapped with a blanket of care around the whole family - giving us peace of mind that our beloved mum is in the best possible hands.
Southcoast Homecare provide care for my mother in law. The care team go above and beyond to make sure my mother in laws care needs are met, nothing is to much trouble. As a relative it's reassuring to know my mother in law is in safe hands when I'm not around.
Carers always friendly and professional. No job is too much trouble. Mum was in hospital for 7 weeks and some staff went to see her which made her feel valued. Always make sure I am kept in contact with times etc which takes stress away. Can't praise the company enough.
After my Mum had a fall we had South Coast in, as they had helped us before, and we were more than happy that they could help us again. Always arrived with smiles and cheers and were an absolute pleasure and a godsend. Have recommended them and would definitely use them again. Thank you.
After my mum was taken on by South Coast Home Care she has got stronger in her arm strength as she has not much strength in her legs due to nerve problem in her back. South Coast Home Care has been a lifeline for my mum and her partner who is 97 this year, and a great help for myself and sisters. Thank you everyone at South Coast Home Care.
Just started with South Coast and the two young ladies who have attended are really absolutely excellent! Cannot say more than that. Next time I hope to be able to write more than two hundred words, maybe.
My mum had a bad fall and I contacted Southcoast Homecare after being told about them by a friend. I met with the owner and was hugely impressed and told about a Contingency Plan they do, which involves a full assessment and visit once a week from a carer to form a relationship and check my mum is doing ok. It's been a wonderful thing to do. They are caring, and helpful and take the pressure off my mother in various ways. Also, now that we are registered under this plan, when or if the actual time that mum needs full-time support or periodic at-home help, there will be no delay or assessment, etc and they know her needs and meds, etc. I know from experience that when an emergency occurs, the process of being assessed can be very frustrating and delay you getting help. I am thrilled with the service.
The staff at South Coast have always paid great attention to detail in providing such good care towards my wife. They also on every visit engage with my wife, which I know that she enjoys greatly. I appreciate that the job on occasions can be demanding however the staff who attend to my wife just use their skill set and knowledge as trained. And provide such a professional service.
Providing staff who care for the elderly and vulnerable can never be easy. It is well known that there are staff shortages nationally. Initially, the staff provided to take care of my aunt was not consistent and was not appropriate but that was two years ago and now there seems to be a consistent rota of excellent staff which helps enormously. My cousins and I, her only relatives, live some distance from my aunt. Having live-in staff has been the right answer for the care of my aunt; it is the best for her and for us.
I have nothing but high praise for South Coast Home Care (SCHC) from day 1 they have been super responsive in requests for emergency care and during subsequent changes to care requirements- this includes decreasing the amount of care as well as increasing care needs. SCHC has always been approachable to discuss any issues that arise. Without the support of SCHC, I do not believe my parents would have been able to remain in their own home and together, which was their dearest wish.
My daughter has cerebral palsy and now she is older, caring for her personal needs has become difficult for me. As an older mother, my health has begun to suffer. I welcomed South Coast Home Care with open arms. The carers who came every day were caring, considerate, polite, courteous and extremely kind and patient. They took care of all my daughter's hygiene needs. My daughter was treated with dignity and respect. I cannot fault the service we received.
We have found the ongoing care given to our father to be of a very high standard, the carers genuinely seem to care about him and nothing is too much trouble. We are informed promptly of any issues, it is very reassuring to have peace of mind after nearly a year of very bad care from previous care companies.
The care they showed my husband was second to none, nothing was too much trouble they never hurried or rushed to go to the next client and they also had time for me to see I was okay, with really caring staff and management.
We have been very happy with the care given to my father by South Coast Homecare, they endeavour to keep the staff going to him consistent, which he finds less unsettling. He gets on very well with most of the staff, especially the male member who my father will only allow to help with washing and dressing.
