View Full Details of Helping Hands Home Care (Taunton)We are reliably provided with a rota for the upcoming week, which enables us to plan. Changes to the rota are minimal. We have a regular selection of carers, so dad feels comfortable with them. Members of the management/office team attend on a regular basis to check on standards. All of the carers are very good with their conversation and level of care provided.
We as a family, are very happy and pleased with the care and attention our mother receives. She has all her individual needs met. When ringing the office I (as my mum's LPA for H&W) am greeted politely and professionally. My requests and enquiries are handled promptly. I feel listened to. The service provided is excellent and I would recommend you to others looking for care and support at home for themselves or family.
Thorough on records etc. I like having a rota in advance so I can warn parents who is coming and when. One staff member is a particular favourite of Mum - calm and helpful, flexible and supportive.
Helping Hands supported both grandparents just before they sadly passed. Both grandparents were extremely happy with the care received and the management. Carers are respectful, patient, adaptable and very professional. The carers made my grandparents feel at ease and supported them throughout the process. Management was communicative and very professional in their outlook and approach. Helping Hands ensured that there was consistency and continuity in carers, and we built such a relationship with the team that visited because of this. Would definitely recommend HH home care.
Great company, staff are very helpful, friendly and fun. Help me with all of my issues, from having a couple of strokes and being an amputee. Nothing is too much trouble, and the careers are a really caring group of people with a good group of mixed-aged people.
Since I started with Helping Hands, they have always been there to help me. They give outstanding care and are always friendly and have outstanding carers who always go above and beyond to help in any way they can.
Very happy with over all care and management. Carers are respectful, patient, adaptable and often go the extra mile. I enjoy their company and encouragement are aware of my needs and help me to achieve my goals.
I have had carers coming un for around eighteen months and it has been a good learning experience. Together we worked out a system of getting mother up from her bed onto the commode washed and changed and into her armchair. Together we have worked out a system that works well for mother (and me).
We are so impressed with all of the Helping Hands team that we have met and I am so grateful I chanced upon the office in Taunton when I was first toying with the thought about asking for help with my Mum. I could not have received a warmer welcome and after a long chat I left armed with information so I could go home and think about what we needed to have in place. When I was ready to proceed we had an assessment appointment and very shortly afterwards our first visit from our wonderful regular pair of helping hands. Neither my Mum or myself could have asked for more. We are delighted with the kindness, service and care. From two very happy new clients.
Helping Hands has been, throughout the years we've been with them, an exemplary care provider. During the most difficult and challenging of recent times, they have always bent over backwards to fulfil our changing and increasing needs and to relieve as much of my own pressure and stress as they can, whilst caring in the best possible way for my dear father. They adopt a holistic and empathetic approach to the entire family which is so reassuring; I can always trust them to do the very best they can, even when their own resources and staffing are stretched to capacity. The office team is as considerate and lovely to deal with as the carers themselves.; they provide an 'above and beyond' service and I recommend them most highly. With regard to my father's individual carer, she truly is like a much loved and trusted member of the family - endlessly kind, good-humoured, considerate and efficient. She has been a constantly reliable rock during some very hard times.
Mum had a fall at her home and she fractured her shoulder so ended up in hospital for 3 months. Being 96 years old she had lived fairly independently with the help of me and my sister, I contacted Helping Hands Home Care to arrange for her homecoming they came to our rescue. Very supportive and caring, Mum is well and very happy.
Just what I needed after a hip replacement. The 'girls' were all different which made their visits interesting. Everything I asked them to do was done well. We had a lot of laughs - especially putting my compression stockings on and off! Many thanks, and would not hesitate to use Helping Hands again.
I have been very impressed with the accessibility of the management team at the Taunton Somerset Office. If I have ever had any concerns about the arrangements for Mum and Dad's care, they have answered my phone calls promptly and resolved the concern immediately. The initial contact was very professional and reassuring. The many ladies attending Mum and Dad have been very friendly and kind. All of the carers have dealt with Mum and Dad's needs very sensitively and professionally. As far as possible Mum and Dad have had the same few carers each day which means they have built up some very friendly relationships. The carers have also been very helpful with suggestions when I have been trying to organise things to make Mum and Dad's lives more comfortable. Overall very accommodating to Mum and Dad's needs.
Helping hands are a fantastic team who really care about their clients and family, they can't do enough for you. Nothing is too much trouble, they're always happy and polite. I couldn't ask for a better team; the best company. They're fully dedicated to their work. Well done keep up the fantastic work.
Thinking of all the visiting staff and office staff, we (my wife and I) are so very happy with all aspects of the support we get and need. So much so I am in process of increasing the hours Helping Hands provide us, with the expectation in the months ahead to increase as needed. I really like their flexibility in catering for our needs
My parents found having care and strangers in their house quite difficult, Helping Hands has made that transition a pleasure. The staff are kind and professional in all aspects. My mum, an extremely independent lady when asked, says she doesn't know how she would manage without her helpers who she can talk to about anything with comfort and sensitivity.
Very pleased with the service provided. The staff manage to persuade the client to start her day, in spite of her level of pain from a crumbling spine, in a way which keeps her hygienically comfortable after a night wearing hot incontinence pants. A mix of sympathetic coaxing and humour helps the process.
Helping Hands have always been caring, helpful, understanding, and kind in all ways, nothing is too much trouble for my carers. I have already recommended them to another client and would do so again. They treat me with respect and dignity at all times and will always put me at ease and try to make me feel better if I am low. They are fantastic.
I am a recently widowed man of 87 years. My daughter arranged for Helping Hands to attend once a week to clear up the mess she was sure I would make. She made a good choice for which I am grateful. Thank you all for caring, especially the lady who comes each week bringing a bright smile and a cheerful chat. I look forward to it.
