View Full Details of Rainbow Direct CareMum's carers are amazing. They have built a solid, trusting relationship. They treat Mum as a person rather than a person with dementia. They always ensure Mum has had fluids. Mum always looks like she did prior to dementia. They look after everything, including her skin. I can not fault the care. Management communicates all the time and are always available. Excellent.
The carers are always on time to assist my mother to get up, washed, bathed and dressed. They are always friendly, make her breakfast etc and have a little chat with her, which I know she loves. They administer her medication and I know if I can't get around through the day, I can check on the website that she is fine. They make her life and mine a lot easier than it would otherwise be. One word to describe them, marvellous.
Went to Rainbow Care as we had heard great things about them. I sorted an assessment for my Nana who has moderate dementia. At the assessment they met our three dogs and said they could accommodate this along with having a female carer, they were great. First visit was a shambles. A carer turned up 20 minutes late with no apology, and she was terrified of dogs. We had to lock the dogs outside whilst the carer was with Nana which stressed her out. After this we talked to the management team and they apologised and reassured us that this wouldn't happen again. We then had a lovely carer that came around for a few weeks and started building a relationship with Nana. We went on holiday and moved house so didn't need the care for two weeks. We were then told that they could no longer support my Nana as they couldn't guarantee a carer that wasn't afraid of dogs. Management were aware that I am heavily pregnant and needed to get this sorted ASAP. Wasted a lot of our time.
My husband was suddenly taken ill and was fitted with a urinary catheter. I had thought he would be able to manage it, but it became apparent after several days that he wasn't. I had plans to be away for a week that could not be changed. At very short notice, I contacted Rainbow, who assessed him and organised two care visits per day starting the next day. The assessors were extremely helpful. During the week, his condition was very up and down, and after four days, 24-hour care needed to be put into place. Rainbow sorted this alteration out with one phone call. He and his needs were very challenging, but his carers were absolutely stellar and could not have done more to communicate with me and to ensure he got the care and attention he needed. They were extremely flexible and nothing was too much trouble for them. I would love to mention them by name here, but I know that isn't allowed. They were fabulous. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Rainbow or to use them again.
Very adaptable care team with good management. Friendly and polite.
So far their care has been good to excellent.
My wife has been cared for by Rainbow Direct Care for several months. She has Parkinson's Disease, with many challenging symptoms, and the care received has been excellent. We have several regular carers who are attentive and initiative regarding her needs; they are all very nice and caring people.
Excellent - always treated with great respect.
Care was provided for my 84-year-old dad who suffered from dementia, as well as other serious health conditions. The carers who came to our home provided wonderful care. They always spent time chatting with Dad and definitely made a difference to his happiness as well as physical needs. The team were always easy to contact. I would highly recommend Rainbow Direct Care.

Rainbow Direct Care deliver excellent service to their clients. I am a live in, a full-time carer for my grandmother (who has dementia and very poor mobility) and we have carers from Rainbow in to help. They really go above and beyond. I cannot express how much of a great impact they have made to our lives. They not only help with personal care for my grandmother but give advice and lend support if I need help with anything if they have time. We are so grateful for them. Also, the company itself as they ring up every now and again to check on my grandmother and on me. Honestly top-notch care all around! Big shout out to her carers aswell as all the other carers we have. You all are amazing!
The manager and her team were extremely caring and professional. They always met my mum with a smile and a kind word. The care they all gave made a very difficult situation a lot more bearable. When mum first came home I found myself completely out of my depth. Their considerable experience in all aspects of care filled me personally with confidence that mum was in the best hands. I know we, as a family greatly appreciated their support.
Rainbow Direct Care provided care to my parents, supporting a 24-hour live-in carer. This involved supplying several hours of daytime care and overnight care several times per week. Both my parents had dementia which was severe in my mother's case, less so in my father's case, but it was worsening rapidly and he could be aggressive and exhibit inappropriate behaviour on occasions. In addition, my mother was bedridden and totally deaf. They were therefore not easy to look after. However, Rainbow Direct Care looked after them with great care, dignity and compassion and dealt professionally with my father's difficult behaviour. They also showed great flexibility when extra care was required at very short notice, sometimes within just a few hours of the extra care being requested. I would have no hesitation in recommending them.
