Home Instead was recommended to me by a friend, who was a relative of a service user and what a great recommendation it was too. My Mum first starting using them in April 2024 just for an hour in the morning to get her up and dressed and ready for the day. Her health unfortunately deteriorated and she had a spell in hospital in July and could only be discharged with a care package of 4 visits a day which they set up at very short notice. My Mum soon formed a close bond with all of the carers and they looked after her with care and compassion in a friendly yet professional way. Nothing was too much trouble and mum, as well as myself, always felt reassured by their presence. The staff in the office were also very friendly and efficient and kept me informed at all times of any changes. They also immediately implemented any changes that I wanted. The App is an excellent way of keeping me up to date about every visit and activity and I thoroughly recommend them.

Home Instead have been just brilliant at supporting Dad as he moved back home after 6 months of being in hospital and respite care. They have helped him with everything from managing his catheter issues and administering his tablets, to his personal care and keeping him on track with daily life, whilst also managing to keep the house tidy and clean, no mean feat with Dad! All of this is done with such professionalism, kindness and patience, showing great respect and care. The App is fabulous and helps me to see how Dad is doing each day, enabling me to address any issues but also as a daughter who doesn't live that close to Dad, gives me peace of mind that all is well. The head office staff always answer the phone and are so helpful. I have changed the hours Dad has a few times over the months to match his needs and they always do their upmost to accommodate me. I have not met a more caring bunch of people than this team of individuals - I'm so grateful I found them!

I have been a client of Home Instead for about 2 years. During that time I have used their hourly carers both for myself and for my late husband who suffered from dementia. I have always found the carers to be unfailingly kind reliable and well trained in the various aspects of care.

My dad's home care plan was all set up and active within a few days. My dad and myself are really pleased with what Home Instead Beverley & Hull have put in place. The work carried out is so much appreciated. Very friendly and helpful visitors makes life so much easier for my dad with each visit. As I don't live nearby to my dad, I still can access what has been carried out etc using the very useful app. It gives a complete run down of all work carried out and raises any concerns the visitor may have. I would certainly recommend Home Instead Beverley & Hull to anyone who requires this type of service.

We are so thankful we chose Home Instead Beverly as the care agency to support my mum who has dementia. They are of course not only a support to my mum, but to my dad who is her full-time carer and to us, her children, who live such a long distance away. The manager and support staff are always responsive and reassuring, you get the feeling they have done this many times before. If visits have to be changed or cancelled they have been excellent in their communication. The carers that visit my mum have been exceptional, particularly her regular carer who shows compassion and kindness and shares just the right amount of stories and humour to brighten my mum's day. Thank you to you all.

From the outset, Home Instead Beverley and Hull delivered exemplary care that allowed my Mum to comfortably remain in her home. Initially hesitant, Mum's trust was quickly won over by the carers' patience and gentle approach. As her needs escalated, so did the level of support, eventually encompassing near round-the-clock care from a compassionate team. They adeptly managed daily tasks like washing, dressing, medication, and meal preparation, easing Mum into accepting help and building a strong foundation of trust and comfort. As Mum's requirements grew, the team adapted seamlessly, providing continuous care and nurturing her emotional and mental well-being, especially during the more difficult times. The support staff at the Beverley office were consistently exceptional, and always ready to assist, which was greatly appreciated. Home Instead's team deeply enriched our lives with their kindness and professionalism, leaving a profound and lasting impact even after Mum's passing.

Home Instead Beverley & Hull has been wonderful for my mum. The staff who have visited have always been professional, kind, and caring and really made Mum feel at ease. Nothing is too much trouble for them. We were a little apprehensive as to how she would settle with 'strangers' coming into the house to her, but she really enjoys their company and assistance, and looks forward to their visits. It has meant she has more regular assistance with changing her bedding, soaking her feet, doing her nails, washing her hair, and company for her. She is more than happy with them, which obviously makes us very happy & reassured too. The office team are lovely, knowledgeable and very responsive to any questions. We, as a family would highly recommend Home Instead Beverley & Hull. Thank you all.

The Home Instead team began caring for my mum following an operation in early May. Mum was a little nervous at first but as she says, she doesn't know what she was worried about! The carers are all excellent and the time and care taken with Mum is outstanding. Appointments are always bang on time and nothing is too much trouble. The carers themselves say that it is the best company they have worked for so they clearly have everyone's best interests at heart, clients and staff alike. Home Instead is a first-class company and I can't praise them highly enough.

What can I say, this service is way beyond my expectations. I live abroad with my mum in the UK and needed peace of mind that she was being cared for after an operation. The manager put the care plan in place at extremely short notice and the communication has been exceptional throughout. one staff member has been a wonderful carer to my mum, making her nutritious meals, helping her with exercises, and helping with duties in the house. The companionship has also been fantastic and I know they get on so well. Having an app to monitor what has taken place is brilliant especially because I live so far away, and the quality assurance of follow-ups and phone calls just shows how the company want to ensure their clients are happy with their care. I can’t praise you all highly enough, thank you so much!

The companionship service delivered to my mum has been first class. The people they send are always excellent, particularly her carer. The support from the office is always good and responsive to any questions or requests I make to them. They proactively keep me informed of any changes or any worries they might have about my mum (as I am 200 miles away). Home Instead came highly recommended by another branch of my family, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

As a family, we have never had any experience of home care and so it was a new adventure to be explored. Home Instead Beverley were extremely professional and supportive to us all and were able to put in place a suitable care package to meet the needs of my father in a relatively short time for which I am extremely grateful. I cannot fault the excellent level of care provided to my father and the patience and support given to my mother and I by the care professional team, as we got used to the changes in my father's health. The notes made by the carers and available to read on the app provide useful information about my father from every visit, which is invaluable as I live a long way from my parents. The office team are extremely responsive in dealing with queries and requests. It cannot be underestimated how important this is in reducing the levels of stress and anxiety that are related to having a parent with failing health. I cannot recommend the team highly enough.

The service provided to Mum has been excellent. She was treated with respect, dignity and compassion. The family were updated with relevant information as appropriate and involved with any changes as required. Unfortunately, the time has come for Mum to receive 24-hour care in a care home, but Mum and the family wish to say a big thank you to all at Home Instead who looked after her.

Mum has been receiving care visits from Home Instead for just over a month. Organising the care that Mum needed was easy, with advice from the care manager. Mum is visited by the same 3 ladies on a rota. Mum has dementia and has found it hard to socialise, not with her carers she enjoys their visits and is totally relaxed with them. The ladies are kind and chat with her, they have come to know her and how she likes things done. The ladies assist with housework, which has taken that burden from me so I can spend more time with Mum. I think that I can say with honesty that engaging home instead was the best decision I made for both Mum and myself. The ladies who visit treat Mum with respect and take time to sit with her and talk to her.

We engaged Home Instead when my dad received less than satisfactory care from his last provider. We have been so impressed with the level of care provided; all skin sores have been identified, treated and healed with tender care. In addition to a high level of personal care, the carers have formed professional, caring, friendly relationships with my dad. They are friends as well as being carers. Issues have been identified early and attended to. Recently, carers have gone beyond normal service, providing additional care and shifts during my dad’s recent illness. Everyone in management and admin is also caring and effective. They really do everything they can to help and take away the stress! It was the Coordinator who asked if additional shifts would help when my father was ill recently. I couldn’t have managed without the extra care! I can’t recommend Home Instead highly enough. I am so thankful for every one of the staff who provides this exceptional service.

I have been extremely impressed with Home Instead and their Beverley team. From the moment I first picked up the phone to enquire about the services offered - everyone we have dealt with has been professional, helpful, supportive and kind. I don't think it was easy for my mum and dad to accept they needed some help- but Home Instead made them feel comfortable from the start and it is now difficult to imagine their lives without a daily visit. I live some distance away - and it is very reassuring to know that Home Instead are visiting on a regular basis. The Beverley Home Instead team have made a big difference to our lives.

My husband who has dementia has had a companion from Home Instead for nearly two years. He was badly affected by lockdown and had totally withdrawn into himself and his speech is limited. Their approach was excellent, great care taken to discreetly but thoroughly assess his needs so an appropriate match of companion could be made. The improvement in him was a pleasure to witness. This was due to the time and trouble the carer took to learn about him and his condition and develop the best approach and care. I am delighted that she is mentoring new carers and passing on her excellent skills.

Moving the responsibility of my Mums care to this agency has been transformative for me. I live 200 miles away and my brother who lives locally, works a full time shift pattern so we need an agency that can be relied upon to do what we’ve asked for, be 100% reliable, punctual and communicative as well as providing professional, kind hearted, lovely carers. Home Instead Beverley & Hull does all of the above. The carers go above and beyond for Mum and the office when I need to contact them about anything such as attending appointments with Mum or any minor changes are responsive and helpful. All in all, I wish I’d changed to this agency years ago, it would’ve saved me a lot of grief!

I have mobility problems and the carers help me with showering, housework and anything else that I ask them to do. They are always on time and I am always pleased to see them. They are cheerful and I always feel so much better for their visit.

All staff, from the office to the carers, are very friendly and helpful, very patient, kind and courteous. My parents have both had continually very good experiences, with all the carers that call on them both morning and evening, which makes a massive difference to their quality of life at home.
