View Full Details of Health and Social Care Services LtdI would like to place on record how pleased we are with the team that now provide our son's care. For us, the fact that he now has a stable team is extremely important, as it provides the consistency of care that he needs and also means that whoever is on duty, they know how best to defuse the challenging situations on the occasions they arise. We are particularly pleased with the new team leader, who is providing calm leadership for the team and encouraging others to engage with us in his absence. It is also very helpful to me that he takes the lead liaising with the Housing Association when repairs etc. are needed to our son's house. It is also the little things that illustrate that it is more than just a job for his team. A good recent example is that on our son's birthday each of the staff sent a card with their own personal greeting message and that the team leader came in on his day off so that he could wish our son a happy birthday.
Carers are amazing, I can't really comment about any management as we don't really see anyone. It's left between myself and the NHS palliative care nurse and doctors. I'm sure the agency should be part of this!
We find this company to be everything a person could possibly wish for. The company is extremely professional. Their management are helpful and understanding and the control and infrastructure is excellent. Fantastic management. My wife's carers are outstanding, kind and considerate. I cannot praise them enough in this review. Only by saying they are brilliant. Great company. We consider ourselves to be very lucky in having them with us.
My brother has found being supported by carers quite challenging and so he is quite challenging to support. I have been impressed by the way management and carers have understood and responded to his needs and also to the challenges he sometimes poses for carers.
Amazing team, work so well with my other carers. This has been life-changing for me. Should have offered this many years ago!
Very professional company from outset. Have met all expectations and exceeded at every level. This company have completely understood what is lacking in terms of respect and dignity towards both client and family members whilst working in a home environment from most home care providers in the UK. Our previous experience was appalling in every aspect, but we are completely happy with how HASCS has not only understood what previously went wrong, but focussed on not making the same mistakes. Would definitely recommend this company to provide care to the highest quality and standards.
It has been a really great experience with Health and Social Care Services care team. Since the beginning the care team were excellent. We were a little hesitant to hand over our son to the carers but all the carers have been really helpful and the transition has been really good. All the carers are very friendly and competent. I would recommend Health and Social Care Services very likely.
I have 50/50 confidence with this provider. We are struggling a bit with care for emergencies from the beginning. But still, I am not feeling too bad.
Our son has a wonderful team who support him to live a life as full as is possible. The team are completely person-centred and I could not recommend them highly enough. Our son feels safe, happy and cared for. The team support our son to do bodyboarding, horticulture, sponsored walks, woodwork, sewing etc, etc. The care package is managed by a nurse, which makes a huge difference compared to our previous provider, as our son has complex medical needs. The nurse can educate the carers about epilepsy, Addison's disease, multisensory impairment and other medical and communication difficulties. Staff get to practice administering emergency medications. It is only when you feel sure that carers are competent, that you can relax knowing your loved one is safe and happy!! Thank you.
This agency is unique in terms of the quality of care and service offered to clients. My wife was suffering from Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and after I had cared for her alone for more than 2 years, this was the only agency that volunteered to give the sort of help I needed at home. One key to success was the deployment of an interim care service, activated in days rather than the weeks it would have taken to recruit longer-term carers. MND moves too quickly for a conventional approach. The other key to success was the quality, kindness and commitment of the carer assigned to the task. She watched, observed and listened to our precise needs, adjusting her care to complement and support my own efforts. No effort was spared. As it turned out, this carer supported us for almost two months, working 5 days per week until my wife succumbed to the disease. I shall be forever grateful. This team sets new standards in the provision of care in the home. When they say they care, they mean it.
