View Full Details of Helping Hands Home Care (Bolton)The carers have done a fantastic job over the year, overcoming some challenging times with the utmost care and professionalism. They have shouldered a large part of he burden I faced previously. Communication has been key to a productive and mutually beneficial partnership. 5-stars.
We have arranged a companion carer for my mother-in-law with dementia a few months ago now who has had little socialising and has never been interested in accessing any of the other activities aimed at dementia patients. We've been assigned to a lovely girl who gained mother-in-law's trust from the very first visit. She is really enjoying the visits and looking forward to them every week. We will continue using this service for as long as possible and will always be thankful for our carer (not sure if I can post names here, hence not mentioning). As for the company itself, from the very first phone contact, through to organising the actual carer's visit - it's been such a pleasure. Everything was organised smoothly. Special thanks to the Bolton care manager who is always keeping us updated about the visits and none of the requests we have are ever of any problem. I will recommend Helping Hands Bolton to everyone. It's worth every penny, if not more.
Helping Hands Bolton have been wonderful in caring for our Mum, who was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's at the age of 62. The staff at the office are extremely helpful and well organised, reporting on concerns and handling last-minute changes with professionalism. The carers themselves are incredible people, Mum and I refer to them as her friends, they make her feel at ease and are extremely warm and professional, and are all up-to-date and well-informed around Mum's needs. I live away and I know she is cared for well by this wonderful team. Keep up the good work and high standards provided. Thank you.
Mum receives exceptional care. Carers are professional, well trained and maintain Mum’s dignity at all times. Their safeguarding and expertise are outstanding and they are deeply committed to Mum’s welfare. They are punctual, proactive and follow clearly set routines and make time to engage Mum in chat and gentle humour. They are the best company I know of and worth the prices to ensure good training and quality assurance behind the scenes.
I was a bit unsure about going on holiday and leaving my husband to be looked after by carers. This was the first time. I need not have worried. The visits prior to my holiday gave me assurance and I felt more confident about leaving him. Everything was so professional and meticulous, especially the handling and dispensing of medication. The carers spent as much time as necessary with my husband and stayed over their allotted time, when he fell, to make sure he was well enough to leave. They also checked with a doctor when there was an issue with the medication. Nothing was too much trouble. The online access to daily updates was useful and reassuring. I have nothing but praise for the very high standard of care which my husband received. Thank you, Helping Hands Home Care (Bolton). We’ll definitely be seeing you again!
Have recently engaged Helping Hands Home Care (Bolton) to help care for my mum with Alzheimer’s. The carers have been punctual, reliable, understanding and caring. The management has also been great. Responding in a very timely way to requests of changes to schedules. They have also minimised changes to carers and it is clear that they understand the importance of this.
I have nothing but praise this is the best agency from office staff accommodating care requirements and call times. Increasing the number of visits regularly, cancelling at short notice. On-time and professional all the time. My stepdad requests continuity and his main carer knows him really well and his needs she is absolutely amazing so kind and caring. She always keeps his apartment spotless too. As my stepdad is doubly incontinent she helps maintain his dignity by ensuring he is always fresh and clean.
Person-centred service with good staff matching to my mum and her personality. Staff have always been really good with my mum and give me tremendous peace of mind. Communication about how my mum is doing and the rota is fantastic.
The staff who manage and coordinate the care for my mother are so very professional and also warm and caring. Very smooth introduction to the service from both the coordinators and the care professionals. Excellent communication at all times with reviews, updates, causes of concern etc. I feel comfortable sharing sensitive and personal information with the team.
We have used Helping Hands Home Care for the past month. My mother-in-law lives alone in Bolton with no family in the area. As her memory has begun to go we have begun to have daily visits from Helping Hands. It has brought such comfort to us to know she is being looked after. The introductory meeting was wonderful and my mother-in-law allayed some of her fears. She has connected with the carers that have been in. We appreciate that it is usually the same carer going each day unless there is sickness, so my mother-in-law isn't having to get used to many different people. We are kept regularly informed of how the carers are getting on and we've found each time we have rung the office the Helping Hands Staff have been extremely helpful. I would highly recommend Helping Hands.
Having had day carers 3 times a day to care for my dad, it became necessary to seek live in care and what a find. To say I am happy with the lady provided is an understatement, my dad is extremely happy and this is after three days! All my potential concerns were dispelled immediately, the company found a perfect match having met Dad and I and listened to his needs as well as providing suggestions to try and save money. It's allowed me to finally get a much needed break. I would recommend the company and live in care. It is not a cheap option but having weighed up the alternatives, it is giving my dad the one to one care he deserves.
From the moment I spoke to the Helping Hands call centre, through to our introductory meeting, the ongoing care from the team and support after Dad sadly passed away, Helping Hands Bolton exceeded every expectation. In every single contact, nothing was too much trouble, communication was excellent and we were completely reassured about Dad's standard of care. But more than that - how much every single person from management through to the carer team, personally cared for him. Also the respect and compassion shown, even at his most difficult times, made Dad's last few weeks more bearable.
Today is the last day we have the wonderful services of the designated carer at Mum's house. I have to say she has been absolutely brilliant, far more than just a carer, in Mum's words it's such a shame that I had to have an accident in order to meet her. Thankfully Mum has made a remarkable recovery and is pretty much back to the old normal, which for someone of 89 years of age was pretty good in the first place. Mum now has her call wrist band which she must wear 24/7 and at the recommendation of the NHS intermediate care team (following their assessment) she has a commode in her bedroom to save her having to go all the way to the bathroom with all its hard surfaces. It remains for us to say thanks to you both and a special thanks to Mum's carer whom we wish well for the birth of her baby in the next few months. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Helping Hands and in particular Mum's carer.
Generally very good. Some basic housekeeping and food preparation training would benefit the carers.
Helping Hands Home Care supported my mother and father for 9 months overall. During this time, my father's health deteriorated and there were quite a few complications and changes needed in his care, plus a stay in hospital. More visits were needed to cope with these difficulties and the team did their utmost to facilitate this. The carers were extremely kind and helpful and were a huge support to my mother and to the family, when my father sadly passed away. I would recommend this company to anyone in the same position.
Punctual and great communication - would recommend. Carers have established an excellent rapport with Mum and are very mindful of her needs. I have seen a great improvement in her mobility and mental health since employing the team.
Helping Hands have been supporting my father for nearly a year. They also cared for my mother before she passed away. All of the Helping Hands employees are beyond kind and their care is exemplary. Not only are the carers caring and kind, but also innovative in creating lovely experiences for my father so he gets out and about despite all his care needs. He is very positive about his care and genuinely looks forward to the visits. I would name everyone who is amazing if I could, but as they all are. I really don’t want to miss anyone out. Thanks to all. What a fantastic team, we would be lost without them.
Helping Hands Home Care have been supporting my dad for around 18-months. They’re helpful, reliable, compassionate, patient and responsive. Twice over that time we’ve had need of urgent extra support at very short notice, and they’ve moved mountains to sort it for us, with people putting in extra shifts to help. There has been the odd occasion when things haven’t gone perfectly, but it’s been rare. Generally I can’t speak highly enough of them.
