We will forever sing your praises to those who now need you and what you can do to help those who need you now.
We have had a very good experience with Home Instead in dealing with the carers who came to help my uncle. From the start, they were warm, friendly and caring. My uncle felt comfortable with them and we were very happy with the help they gave him.
All carers bring friendly, professional and outstanding service, always with a smile and really bond with the client. They arrive when scheduled and make sure that all medication is taken and daily food is prepared.
The whole team were excellent from the admin staff right through to the carers. Response times were good, I felt that they worked hard to get to know Mum as a person, and they were proactive in all areas. I would thoroughly recommend them.
Mum and her partner were very well looked after daily whilst he was still alive, coping with mum's reluctance to have them in the house with tact and compassion. Once mum was left alone Home Instead provided a wonderful live-in carer to look after her every need. Communication between all the carers and myself was excellent and their regular reports provided real peace of mind. They sorted various issues, including collecting missing prescriptions which should have been delivered. I would have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead to anyone considering either daily help or live-in care.
My father was initially very reluctant to agree to carers supporting him in his home when our step-mum had to be admitted to hospital for end-of-life care. However, he was soon singing the praises of his wonderful carers and the family gained tremendous peace of mind knowing that he was being regularly looked on and that his care needs were being met. On several occasions, staff from Home Instead went over and above their contractual obligations (for example, staying with him for several hours before paramedics arrived after a fall). I have no hesitation in recommending the team at Home Instead.
As someone who works in health care, the care and support that was bespoke to both my parents was truly first class. Carers were specifically chosen to form therapeutic relationships with both, and the changes to both their needs were swiftly identified and adapted accordingly. The carers were all respectful, and sensitive and became trusted friends to my parents and a source of comfort for us. They also gave end-of-life care when there was a sudden deterioration. This was planned professionally, quickly and delivered with compassion and dignity.
I came out of hospital and was met at my own home by one of the team, this was very comforting and thoughtful. I feel I got to know each member of my team well and they got to know my routine and the way I wished tasks to be undertaken.
The carers and staff are excellent all very helpful and very caring always there to listen if any problems occur. I would definitely recommend Home Instead.
All of the team at Home Instead Gloucester and The Forest of Dean are professional, caring, supportive and just make a huge difference to our lives. I am the full-time carer for my husband living with Alzheimer's disease and they enable me to keep going in that role by facilitating the breaks I need. The carers are wonderful with my husband, always making him laugh but also supporting him in his needs - Companionship and practical skills. In addition, they see and do jobs to help me in the home. The team in the office are always available and communicates well with me and each other so there's always clarity. Basically, they're brilliant, I can't recommend them highly enough!
Everyone from Home Instead Gloucester and The Forest of Dean has been kind, professional and efficient. They have become friends and we are very fond of them. They take the trouble to walk with my husband and to engage him in conversation either with the newspapers or photograph albums.
Thank you for your personal and highly professional service. All the carers were confident, caring and good-natured. This service provided a valuable addition to my mother's care during this time. With warm thanks.
Home Instead gave me great confidence and peace of mind from the very first meeting we had. They offer a professional and flexible service and are always very helpful and supportive. Mum is always treated with kindness and respect and has a great relationship with her carers. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
I can thoroughly recommend the professional service and amazing level of care provided to my father by Home Instead. From our initial contact to the day of my father’s death, the staff supported us every step of the way. All care was provided with dignity and respect, with my father's needs and wishes guiding every intervention. Nothing was too much trouble. Care was flexible and immediately stepped up to accommodate his deteriorating health. The carers were completely reliable, arrived when they said they would and attended to his every need. They quickly developed a rapport with us as a family and put us all at ease. As a healthcare professional, I work alongside lots of care agencies in another part of the country and I can confidently say that I have never experienced an agency as good as Home Instead.
We employed Home Instead for my father to help to assist with his personal care and getting out of bed and going to bed, meals and medication so that Dad still felt he had a degree of independence. This helped enormously so that we could concentrate on giving him quality time during the day. The team developed a great rapport with Dad and liaised with myself and other family members and provided us with well-needed support. Home Instead were able to provide some greater support when Dad deteriorated and the times the carers came was the chance to take a break and give us the strength to continue with Dad`s care. I would recommend the Home Instead team for supplying wonderful, caring support to Dad and family members.
Entering the world of care was daunting to start with, but from my initial call to the day to day care of my Dad, the team at Home Instead have provided a fabulous service to both my Dad and the wider family. They are incredibly professional and do exactly what they say they are going to do, every time, leaving us well informed and well cared for. The team genuinely care for Dad, treating him with dignity as well as having a good giggle - it feels very personal. Flexibility has been really important to us as Dad has unfortunately had a number of hospital stays, but the team at Home Instead have been right behind us, ready to re-commence care as soon as we’ve needed it. I genuinely do not know what we would do without them.
The team were all very accommodating in supporting my mum when she needed support at home. The staff were excellent with communicating with other family members and me and would make changes to support when needed. I would happily recommend it to other families needing this support.
We employed Home Instead initially to help my parents in law as they began to struggle with everyday tasks. The carers began by helping with cooking meals and light house work with there main achievement being developing a rapport with them which helped them accept help in their home. This helped enormously when my father in law was taken into hospital, my mother in law was already familiar with many members of the staff and home instead did a wonderful job of keeping continuity going. They stepped in during a very difficult time to enable my mother in law to stay at home. We could not fault their flexibility and the support they gave to the entire family.
A completely wonderful, caring team - always a 'can do ' attitude! With their care, my parents were able to stay living in their own home for longer before needing to move for specialist 24-hour care. Totally reliable - the daily carers were fantastic not only in their professional standards of care but also their friendliness and the respect and dignity they afforded my Mum and Dad. As a family member, I also felt supported and reassured that I had up to date information available to me after each visit. Any concerns regarding my parents were always passed onto me however small. As a family, we would have absolutely no hesitation in asking the manager and his team to look after Mum and Dad again.
Very happy with the care given to my parents over more than a year. Staff always kind and gentle. Management always flexible and understanding. There were many challenges but all dealt with very well. Highly recommended.
