View Full Details of Home Instead (Stoke Newington, Leyton & Wanstead)As well as having the experience and necessary skills to do their job very well, the carers have a quality that supersedes all - they actually care. Obvious isn't it. We have two carers that look after my father and it's also very nice to see that he cares about them too. It's good to see the connection they've made. It isn't easy for anyone, at any age, to accept that they need help for the little things most of us take for granted; to keep their dignity, to be comfortable and ultimately to feel as though they still matter, otherwise what's the point. I am not in the habit of writing words that I don't mean and do not benefit by doing so, but it is important to me that the people who look after my father be recognised for the good work they do. From the carers themselves, to the manager and all the staff I've spoken too. Keep it up!
My brother-in-law lives alone and suffers from OCD. In spite of obsessive hand washing, his home had become unhygienic to a point that was detrimental to his health. Home Instead staff have sensitively navigated his concerns and are now able to visit twice a week to maintain order. Things are so much improved that he is considering inviting visitors, which would have been unthinkable a year ago.
Mum's care services contribute to my mother's ever more precarious happiness. She has found a way to my mother's heart and mind, despite mummy's deteriorating health. I recommend her services wholeheartedly.
The care manager quickly arranged support for my mum whilst she was staying with me in London. She matched my mum with a carer who was fantastic. Cheery, fun and on the ball -just the kind of person my mum needed to be matched with. The care manager's communication was excellent throughout the whole process. We were delighted with the support. It only came to an end because my mum wanted to go home. However, should my mum ever return, we would not hesitate to make contact again. Mum and I really delighted with the support provided. Thank you!
Happy with the care provided with by Home Instead. All the carers introduced to my Mother-in-Law have been excellent. She has got on well with them suggesting they have been well-matched by the management team. Highly recommend this company.
A professional and friendly care provider from the management, office and frontline carers visiting my mum. Communication is excellent, I am always kept fully briefed and consulted on carer changes which sometimes become necessary. Most of all, mum is very happy and gets on well with her carers and they treat her with respect and kindness.
My mother has had twice-weekly care from the Home Instead team for a couple of years now and she is very pleased with the constant care provider assigned to her. As I often liaise with the office team and assigned carer, I highly commend all contacts for their true interest in my mother’s health and well-being. They offer flexibility for appointments where possible and often go above and beyond to support mum's needs. Contact is quick and professionally accomplished. I have complete faith in both the care team and the office team and their personal touches are really appreciated. They care, which is very evident. Couldn’t be happier. Thanks as always for the ongoing service.
Very friendly, easy to approach and my brother feels at ease. Never had any issues and always on time, they call to make sure the client is ok when they not at the site. Very happy with staff they send us, always the same but when change the new staff are friendly and helpful.
Totally professional. Carers go above and beyond providing care for my husband plus helping me with household chores. We couldn't be without them. Very good contact with admin staff as well.
We had a really positive experience with this care agency. We ask them to match carers to my mum's personality type, with experience of Dementia and meet other care needs along with consistency of staff. The quality of the 2 carers supplied was outstanding. They built a real and meaningful relationship with my mum and provided excellent care. The office and care coordination was also 5 stars! If you are looking for quality, empathy, kindness, this is the agency you want.
We can't thank the management and care providers enough for all their kindness, care and professionalism over the past few months. They have all been outstanding and we would be happy to recommend Home Instead (Stoke Newington, Leyton and Wanstead).
Home Instead have looked after my brother-in-law for around two years. The carers have been so kind and considerate towards him and cared for him with love and careful attention. I have got to know a number of them personally and they are all lovely. The managers have been very helpful to the family - they have helped us navigate the complexities of the care system - contacting the GP, the district nurse and other services. We are an articulate capable family but it’s been great having Home Instead on our side! We have really felt like we are in a team supporting him to live at home. They are scrupulous around the giving of medication and supporting him with dignity. We are sad that he is no longer able to live at home but very grateful to Home Instead for enabling him to do so for so long.
The care that has been provided for my father over the last two years has been outstanding. The care professionals have all been extremely kind, compassionate and highly competent and have supported my father with every aspect of his care. The manager has also been brilliant and has gone above and beyond to support many aspects of my father's complex care needs. Quite simply, Home Instead provide excellent care and I wholeheartedly recommend them.
The care service provided by Home Instead has been excellent. We have had a carer for the last 3 months and this has been totally reliable. This has allowed me to undertake other necessary jobs such as calls and administration at home. Our carer was always pleasant and warm, easy to chat to and adaptable. My husband did not need physical help but some friendly company to pass the time and reassurance as to where I was. This was provided perfectly, thank you.
I have had a carer for three weeks. I wanted someone to walk with me so I can gain confidence in my new environment and my new situation. We have walked up the high street and I got a covid shot at the chemist. We have walked around the block to a cafe for coffee. We straightened out some boxes of clothes and linens that needed to be sorted. My carer is a lovely person to be around.
I would like to say the care service provided by Homecare was excellent. The staff are very professional, friendly, and caring, and understand all that my mother required. The carers visited my mother for 1 and a half years, she started with a carer in the evening and went on to have a carer in the morning and evening. Homecare also took my mother to her monthly hospital appointments, picked up her prescriptions and took her shopping.
My main carer is a complete joy to spend my time with. She is both sensitive, friendly and very aware of my needs. I see other carers from time to time and always find their work exemplary. Thank you, Home Instead.
An excellent service. Myself and all the family involved with my uncle have been fully informed with the daily reports. My uncle has developed in your care, as he is being fed and his medication is being given to him regularly. We have introduced some changes but these have not phased the carers and they have suggested some things too. We are so pleased that everything has gone so well. Thank you.
Home Instead has been excellent, staff and carers have met and surpassed our expectations. My uncle is in the early stages of Alzheimer's and lives on his own. It is very reassuring for us to know that a carer is going in each morning, administering my uncle's medication and taking care of his various needs. Each carer has been kind, patient, reliable and shown genuine interest in my uncle. The manager whom I contacted was professional, knowledgeable and experienced. She interacted really well with my uncle at our first meeting and understood his initial hesitancy in having carers. My uncle felt reassured and he agreed with the idea. He hasn't looked back since and thinks he's very lucky to have such friendly carers going in each morning. The whole team is fantastic, the managers are contactable, helpful and flexible. The App that family members have access to provides us with valuable daily details about each carer's visit, highlighting any problems or needs. This has been extremely useful.
My mother is in the early stages of Alzheimers and lives in her own retirement flat. Since lockdown, she has been unable to go out on her own and is now looked after by caregivers who visit several times a day. We are grateful for the excellent care that Mum receives, enabling her to stay in her flat.
