View Full Details of Esteem Home Care StranraerEsteem have been excellent in all areas of care for my mother-in-law. They always make sure her needs are met, and they are very patient and efficient. They take time to listen and are compassionate. We as a family could do without them, if we did not have them she would need to go into a care home. She is at home where family and friends can visit regularly. Thank you to all of you, we very much appreciate it.
Very good service overall. I have seen many different carers and I can honestly say that I have gotten on with all of them, they have all been very good and helpful. They are very professional and nothing is a bother to them. I would recommend this company to everyone.
Esteem are a hard working company there carers are very helpful and friendly always willing to go the extra mile to help me I have been with the company for nearly a year now and have no complaints about the staff all great and always have a,smile on there faces
My relationship with Esteem Care over a period of time, has been extremely beneficial for the care of my mother, and also the ongoing relationship that I have with them. This has been achieved, not only with the hard work of the Esteem Care Team when attending to my mother but also in the Management of the ever-changing situation in my mother's dementia journey. All individuals come together as a team and give excellent care to mum and support to me. Any issues which have cropped up, and there are always issues developing unexpectedly or otherwise with her dementia, this has been managed between the Esteem Management Team and myself and dealt with efficiently. With the help and support of Esteem Care, I am very confident everything will be handled professionally to my satisfaction, and to the level of care my mother requires.
The only thing I can say is nothing to say so far. The experience is negative. Far too many changes, not being notified of any changes and as only supposed to be two girls in one week as offered we have had 21 that I know about! This is in a 3 month period! This is certainly not what I accepted for my Mother and I hope to get answers without excuses.
My mother died in October past, and was well attended to, by the company. It was only for a brief 8-month period, honestly cannot fault the people involved. Care package was implemented mum did not want it, or a hospital bed. A young lady who was the first carer at mum's home, my wife worked with her previously and gave a glowing reference of her. Her carer arrived at the same time the bed was delivered, as did my wife to help ease the introduction of a carer for both mum and her carer. I was in the other room, but could still hear mum saying to the carer it's my way or the highway and thought to myself, welcome to my world. Mum's carer and all other carers became a big part of mum's last months, and she grew to accept, respect and love them all. When she was in hospital at the end, she requested for me to ask the carers to visit as part of the extended family, no greater appreciation could she give than that to them for all great care. This care company and all involved including management are first class.
I feel this service is good staff are great I have benefited with the help I also get a chance to talk to people I can't thank you enough for all your help and support I really think a lot off other people would benefit from this service.
Happy now with the new carers, very good and take the time to ensure that my husband has the proper care, no rushing in and out, they make sure that he is happy and very satisfied with the care he is receiving now and nothing is too much bother for them.
Each individual carer has gone above and beyond to make me feel valued as an individual, providing positive reinforcement of my contribution to each visit and ensuring I am happy with each step they take. Communicating constantly what is going to happen, from chairs being moved to clothing being adjusted. Because of my individual mobility issues and health problems a specific way of transferring, seat support and systems are used. The girls are quick to become aware of my requirements which makes the visits easier. The reviews and follow-up has been carried out very well, ensuring I have been fully involved in the process and enabling an increase in hours to better suit my needs. The personal touch including a face-to-face visit when advising clients of the loss of a dear carer was definitely the correct way of notifying everyone, although obviously very difficult for the staff member involved.
I started using Esteem last year when I came out of hospital, staff are very polite and helpful always on time great service would recommend to all my family and friends, the staff go out their way to help you, always there when I need someone to talk to.
