View Full Details of Helping Hands Home Care (Oldham)A very reliable service. The carers are very capable and allow the client to do what they're able to do. If there has been an issue the organisation has been accessible and communication has been good. I would recommend Helping Hands Home Care to anyone who is in need. The only criticism is the carers do seem to have to rush sometimes, I hope they are given enough time in between clients.
I have found the ladies very caring and are brilliant with my husband. It's lovely to see them and also to have them for some housework.
I had contracted the company to see if there was a possibility of booking a carer to sit in once a month while I went to church. Over the weekend, I had a crisis with my partner, who developed sepsis following a chest infection. I phoned the care coordinator, who offered to come out at 9 pm and brought a carer with her. A carer was then provided for the next few days. Thank you for your excellent service. You should be proud of your company and its carers.
Mum has her companion call once a week. She looks forward to it and gives a glowing report when I speak to her after the visit. Anything they do together, whether that's pop to the shops, a bit of gardening or just sit and chat, it's always Mum's choice. When we signed up with Helping Hands Home Care (Oldham), that was exactly what we were hoping for.
We went to an afternoon concert at the Halle St Peters in Manchester after having a Jubilee Lunch with other clients. It was a great afternoon. A member of Staff came and picked up my Dad and myself. Every member of staff I have met have been very nice.
I couldn’t praise this company more. They have been a godsend to my relative. Helpful kind organised great communication and professional. Was our luck to call on them first.Thank you Helping Hands. The staff are always willing to go the extra mile.
Both my very elderly Mum and myself have been grateful to the staff at "Helping Hands" since making the first phone call in August 2021. I felt relief that help was available and it was delivered in a compassionate and sympathetic manner. Like many in her generation, my 95-year-old Mum is very independently minded but it is essential that she has extra help and outside contact. She is frail but possesses a huge amount of determination to simply "keep going". "Helping Hands" staff enable her to do just this, with their regular and reliable visits.
After making the initial enquiry things moved quickly and efficiently so much so that our service began the following week. We were effectively listened to and all our requirements were met. The carer is friendly and respectful, she listens effectively and does the job in an honest and open fashion, it helps us that she is flexible and understanding. I think she must have the patience of a saint! The carer has never been late and has accommodated our needs well, we have not been with Helping Hands for very long but if they maintain this standard of care we will be more than happy. Thank you for the empathy you have shown to a sometimes confused old lady who is trying to maintain as much independence as possible. We feel valued.
We have been using Helping Hands for nearly a year now. I chose the company because our initial contact was positive and sensitive - subsequently the assessment was sensitive and realistic - and spoke directly to my husband not over him. Although he has dementia, he is still able to understand what is going on, and wants to be involved in the care he receives. Our regular caregivers are just that - regular, so my husband is able to develop a relationship with them, to recognise that he knows them and they know him, and so build trust and confidence. The staff are friendly, smiley (important), always neat and tidy, and have great rapport with my husband, speaking with him in an age-appropriate way. They are reliable, dependable and punctual - and have the capacity to be flexible when needed. It is easy to raise any issues or update the care plan, and communications are professional and friendly. Honestly, I don't know how I managed without them.
I am so happy with the care my mum receives from Helping Hands. The care is absolutely brilliant, my mother is so happy with the carers that visit. It also gives me peace of mind. I would definitely recommend.
I arranged daily visiting care for my 99-year-old mother in July 2021 following a fall at home which further restricted her mobility. Typical of her generation, she was fiercely independent and had never previously received care assistance of any sort from outside the family. The process of arranging the care visits was straightforward with great flexibility on offer. The visiting carers immediately put my mother at ease and she quickly learned to trust and highly value them, looking forward to their visits. The visits were always reliable and punctual, with any potential issues regarding my mother's care and wellbeing being promptly reported to me via the knowledgeable branch manager. One of the visiting carers discovered my mother in a serious condition following a further overnight fall and following hospitalisation she has now accepted permanent residential care. However, I am eternally grateful for the prompt, calm and professional care provided and I highly recommend Helping Hands
