View Full Details of Jewel Home Support (Lancs)Abysmal service, carers seemingly unaware of what they are doing. Can't even open a door, coming when they want, not doing what is needed, or as little as possible, not filling in care notes, lying about the time visited, very poor. I could go on forever, avoid using them.
Appalling from start to finish during the 10-day period they were appointed to care for my father. My father requires 4 visits a day, help in and out of bed, personal care and medications, etc. On two of the days, nobody visited at all which resulted in district nurses having to step in. Despite being informed of the key safe access several times, on the days they turned up they just knocked on the door and left the house without entering if my father didn't answer. He literally lay in bed unable to move and heard them knocking. There is no after-hours phone line so any calls after 5 pm aren't answered at all. Communication is terrible. Every time I called - which was a lot, I was told the carer would be there in 10 minutes or my father was going to be the next visit on the carers list. Those visits never happened. When social services stepped in to speak to them they lied and said the visits had happened. Absolutely traumatic experience for my father and family. Avoid at all costs!
New Client. Have not received any contact/communication from the company, details, telephone numbers, etc. Experiencing very bad timekeeping, never arrived within the time scale, lateness ranging from 1hr 10 mins up to 2hrs 15mins. Had to telephone to find out what was happening. Twice two people arrived together in one car.
