View Full Details of Authum Care LtdI am a housebound lady, living with my husband and I have severely reduced mobility. My husband took on all the roles of looking after the house, and being a full-time carer to me, all whilst working full time. I have struggled to come to terms with my health changes as my life is so different now. I have had some mental health struggles too and in February this year it all got too much and the professionals stepped in. I was referred to Authum Care and although I didn't want to have carers, I knew it was for the best. I absolutely wouldn't be without them now! I know I can't compare them to other carers but in my opinion, they are the best! They look after me so well and are so caring and kind. I have a very small family and I honestly now feel that my family has been extended. The manager is fab and works hard. I feel very lucky that the manager and her team are in my life! Special praise and my gratitude should also go to 4 carers in particular they have made life better
Very helpful to my mum, been a constant companion in the mornings. My mum is very pleased, this is the second time we've needed to call Authum care, will use it again. Very friendly staff and easy company to deal with. Many thanks.
They say you should judge a care company by whether you'd want them looking after your own family member. I don't have much in the way of family but I've been made to feel like now I do as Authum Care has made me part of their family. I even got a surprise visit on my birthday from the managers with a big bunch of flowers. I have needed help ever since I became disabled over twenty years ago and have seen many care companies in that time so have a broad experience to compare with and without a doubt, Authum Care has been the best, most welcoming care company I've ever had. I would not hesitate to recommend them as they are reliable, cheerful, friendly and always willing to help however they can.
Authum Care looked after my mother following a broken leg a couple of years ago. She always wanted to remain independent and live at home. She was adamant she never wanted to go into a nursing home. The fabulous carers enabled my mother to remain at home, where she was happiest. Their level of care was unbelievable. But mostly the carers really took time to get to know my mother and made her last couple of years as comfortable as possible. They always went out of their way to make her comfortable and happy, taking her out for Christmas meals and shopping trips. She built up great friendships with the carers, based on trust and love. When my mother was discharged from hospital for the last time yet again Authum Care were there for her return home. It was because of them she could come home for her final days. We could never thank them enough for all the care, joy and love they brought to my mother in her last days and they will be forever in our hearts
We chose Authum Care to look after our family member as they were local to us, and our first conversation with them was so reassuring and caring. The manager visited and covered everything we needed with care and understanding. We have had various levels of care while our family member has been recovering and we have not had a single worry about the standard of care, it's all been 100%. We are kept up to date on any concerns they have to do with our loved one and they are approachable and professional in every aspect of care. Our family member is very happy with the carers and feels safe with them. I would highly recommend Authum Care.
Following a series of falls Mum was adamant that she would not move to residential care but recognised that she needed support to her remain in her own home. As a family, this was new territory for us. How grateful we were that in March 2022 Authum Care was in its infancy and looking for clients. From day one we felt confident that this team of carers was exceptionally well-led and that the care provided was beyond our expectations. Having taken the time to get to know Mum it was evident from our conversations that they went above and beyond to support her medical, domestic, physical, intellectual and social needs. Mum died peacefully at home at the end of May 2024. This was only made possible by Authum Care who committed to providing end-of-life care when she returned home from hospital. We were grateful to witness that at 91 her needs were met with dignity and respect right to the very end and are privileged to call them our second family, always there when we couldn't be!
We were introduced to Authum Care services by the Social Services following my wife's hospital stay. From the outset, we were very impressed by the level of professionalism and dedication by all members of the Authum Care teams who came to the house. Equally, we were impressed by the manager's visit where we arranged the ongoing care visits and the attention to the timekeeping details. Both the level of care and friendly attitude of all the teams were outstanding and made a considerable contribution to my wife's recovery.
