View Full Details of Walfinch Greater Manchester SouthI recently had an outstanding experience with them. They provided exceptional care for my mother while my family and I were overseas. From the initial consultation to the daily support, their team was professional, compassionate, and attentive to my mother's needs.
Everyone from the Walfinch carers are always polite with me. They take me to do the shopping each Friday morning and are helpful with me. Also, they see I take my medication tablet. When the girls come in the mornings they are on time and in the afternoons.
The care we needed was for an additional carer to assist our full-time carer 3 times a day. Our mum was in late-stage Alzheimer's and was living at home with us. A particular carer was a wonderful lady from India, a trained nurse who was provided by the owner. She fitted in very well and Mum loved her. She helped with the domestic care of dressing, showering and toilet arrangements for Mum and took her for walks out in Mum's wheelchair. She was more than just a carer she was keen to give her extra time to the companionship of Mum. When the carer had a day off the manager would deputise and it all worked seamlessly. When Mum passed away the carer was there with the family and the full-time carer. We were all more like a family than in a client-carer relationship. We would recommend Walfinch Greater Manchester South unreservedly to anyone who might find themselves in a similar situation. Thank you and God bless you all!
The care was efficiently arranged at short notice and consisted of two weeks of overnight care followed by three weeks of 24-hour care. The condition of the lady being cared for improved significantly between the time of booking the 24-hour carer and her arrival. However, the carer was still very helpful with showering assistance, washing clothes and bedsheets, washing pots, some cleaning, food preparation and hanging up washing to dry.
A very efficient and caring provider. I would have no hesitation in recommending them. We have used their services to look after my husband who suffers from dementia with Lewy Body during a period where I needed some respite care myself.
I am very happy with the care that my mum receives. She’s a very independent woman who does not like having help but her Alzheimer’s necessitates it. Her carers are understanding and patient and cook her her favourite food (curry) which she loves. They encourage her to go out even if only to the shops and keep me well informed of what is going on. My only frustration is when I am not kept informed of carers leaving or not present as consistency is so important for someone with dementia. But everyone is very responsive if I have any questions. I am generally very happy with my experience and have recommended them to others.
My father is my mother's main care provider, so when he had to go into hospital unexpectedly, I had to find care for my mother at the very last minute. I tried so many companies, many recommended to me by family and friends, but none could assist and, in fact, most said that they would not be able to help at all for weeks or months. However, when I phoned Walfinch, I was immediately told that they would do their very best to find a carer of quality who could step into the breach. Within a few hours, a senior representative of Walfinch had come to the house to visit my mother and assess her needs. The Walfinch representative put my mother at ease, told us that she had found a carer and explained why that carer was appropriate. Furthermore, Walfinch ensured that the care provided over the required period was excellent, regularly checking in with me, my mother and my father. I highly recommend this wonderful company.
A great service and with quality carers. Initially contacted due to an emergency need for care supporting my mother when my father went into hospital. Lots of other providers were unable to help but they were quick to step in and provide the cover I needed daytime, 7 days a week. Their carers are thoughtful, experienced and proactive in working out activities for the day, and clearly care! Their management have also given me options for future care that may be needed as a next stage and have just been great at responding to my needs for extended support a short notice with an uncertain position. Definitely recommend and really helped at a stressful time!
Christies Care agency provided an excellent standard of care to my mum from late January 2021 until late April 2021. The arrangements for care were based on my mum's specific needs. She was bed-bound and severely disabled and needed a high level of care so it was reassuring that Christies Care gathered all the relevant information before introducing us to one of their carers. Mum's regular carer was an excellent match for my mum in terms of her personality, interests and experience of life. All the other carers provided by the company were equally conscientious and reliable. Mum genuinely liked her carers and appreciated their kindness and their expertise. It made a tremendous difference to her day to day life because she was able to laugh, smile and have fun during the daily routine of personal care. She was treated with respect and dignity at all times. We received full support from Christies. I would certainly recommend them to other families.
Following an unexpected loss of mobility, I required immediate in-home help and support. I was able to arrange a flexible plan with Christies Care that suited my needs including overnight care. Most amazingly, care was in place in a matter of hours. Three carers helped me over about 6 weeks, and each was skilled, personable and genuinely caring. Thank you for helping me regain my independence one day at a time.
Really nice carer who is very considerate, gentle and extremely delicate; I trust her completely. I also have nice conversations with her and she is warm and interesting. Good communication with the management and I would recommend to anyone needing care.
Very professional manager we think. Very safety/safeguarding aware we think. Lovely carer we think. Very empathetic company we think. Very empathetic carer we think. Not really got much more to say than this.
Christies Care found a lovely lady for my mum to look after her in the night. The whole experience and process was handled efficiently and professionally and we shall use this care service again and extend a recommendation to all - you will not be disappointed.
