View Full Details of In Home Care - ChelmsfordMy mother is almost 95 years old and has been suffering from Alzheimer's for a few year. She is in a care home where she has been receiving support from an Urdu-speaking carer for over a year. My mother has come to believe that the carer is one of her daughters, which is amazing and speaks volumes about the care my mother receives. Her carer in my opinion deserves to have the status of being my mother's daughter and I also feel that a special bond has formed between myself and the carer. I am very confident leaving my mother in her hands. She genuinely is a very kind and affectionate person and applies that kindness and affection to the full when comes to my mother. I am ever so grateful to her for taking such good care of my mother with the love that only a daughter can bestow on a mother. Thank you to all of the staff who are involved in making this happen.
All staff appear to have empathy with client and be willing to undertake a range of tasks. I am not a major customer but my requirements have been met flexibly.
My father is 91 years old and has 4 visits a day from In-Home Care. He is a stroke survivor and has extremely poor mobility, is quite frail with his short-term memory starting to fail. We cannot praise the care my father receives enough. The Carers are extremely professional, reliable, caring, and patient. They treat him with dignity and respect at all times particularly when carrying out his personal care of the morning and when there are continence issues at other times. It makes such a difference to us as a family that we can be confident in the care he is receiving particularly as we live 40 minutes away and have other commitments and health issues to deal with. He has regular Carers which also make a huge difference. The Team at the office are always responsive, professional, understanding, and supportive. Any issues that arise are resolved promptly. We would have no hesitation in recommending In-Home Care to others needing care for a loved one.
The carers are fine and carry out my care cheerfully and well. My only complaint is that it is very tiring to explain to a new carer what to do especially when they are doing the late-night call. The staff - very thin at present - are coping well with my changes in dates.
My 94-year-old mum has had carers for over a year. She loves all of them, they are all courteous and caring. She looks forward to seeing them and having a good chat. Nothing is too much trouble for them.
My brother has had support from In Home Care for over a year, I have been reassured by the continual support given from the individual carers up to the office staff who are always available if I have any concerns and never make me feel uncomfortable. Last week my brother (who has understanding and hearing difficulties) had a mobility problem the carer attending that evening dealt with him professionally, and in a friendly manner staying with him until he was admitted into the hospital care. I was kept informed throughout but due to distance could not attend until the next day. I am very grateful for all the support that I and my brother get from In Home Care, a great big thank you to all.
Our journey began with a thorough assessment and time spent understanding Dad's needs and reassuring him. Dad needed help after a spell in hospital and the end of the NHS reablement package. Dad was much happier with the same two carers attending and built up a relationship with them where he felt secure and comfortable with the personal care they were giving him. They were vigilant, particularly on his skin integrity, and advised when they thought it appropriate to call out the district nurse or GP. It was a relief to see that he was clean and comfortable. Sadly Dad's mobility deteriorated and he went into residential care. Overall a positive experience given by experienced, kind and caring people. We would not hesitate to recommend.
Although the staff seemed caring, it was apparent that some parts of the activities were not regularly executed, including shaving and showering. The cleaner had once found my father sitting in soiled clothing and then washed him. Regularly only very minimal clothes in the laundry box. Photos were sent to In Home care who did check but advised he was clean when they visited him (after the cleaner had already cleaned him). Buckets of urine were found in his bedroom on more than one occasion when visiting after carers had been. Also advised In Home Care that vitamin B12 was advised by clinicians which I bought. This was given until it was all used but not informed when it had run out by the company. This may have contributed to his rapid dementia condition. When questioned they said they would only give him medication prescribed by the GP. A very blasé response. Also requested to pay a bill that I had already paid. No apology was given.
Efficient, friendly, care - could not be happier with the support my mother received following her operation. We will definitely be using In Home Care Chelmsford again. They did our initial assessment and spent time with Mum getting her comfortable with the care that would be provided. Mum was very pleased with the care she received. Many thanks to the team.
My 87 year old mother has Alzheimer's and Dementia and while quite affable, is incapable of looking after herself. We have finally moved to a live-in carer which has improved her physical and mental condition. The carers change every few weeks and have been uniformly brilliant. It is unfortunate that the financial realities mean that at some point my mother will have to move into a care home as the cash will have to be released from her house to pay for ongoing care.
Thank you to In Home Care for helping my son each morning for over a year. Everyone has been helpful, cheerful and trustworthy.
We have been very pleased with the service provided by the carers, initially for cleaning the house once a week, evening meal visits and more recently morning visits too. Everyone at the office have been very helpful too.
What a great team. Having support for my mother (as well as supporting my father) was a big step. However, the carers that have come have made the transition easy by being attentive, compassionate and observant regarding needs. What a wonderful start! Very grateful.
Carers arrive promptly according to the rota. Polite and cheerful. Let me do what I can manage. Some excellent breakfasts.
In Home Care has been supporting my family in caring for my elderly mother for some time now, and I honestly can't praise them enough. The 'team' are such lovely people, and my mum loves to see them. It's such a relief for me to know my 93-year-old mother is in good hands when I can't be there. It's so important that your loved one is happy and comfortable with the carer visits, and the fact they provide excellent company as well, it really gives you peace of mind. Thoroughly recommend.
My mother always felt safe and well cared for. All her carers were always happy and treated her with dignity and respect. Often joking with her and always making her happy. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them.
In Homecare continue to provide good support to my friend who is virtually housebound and very frail. There was a slight problem in the month with one of the carers but this was promptly sorted out and the other carers are excellent. He enjoys the chats with the girls and speaks very highly of them
From initial assessment to care provision, the service provided was excellent. I did see several different carers but they were all professional, caring and, for someone not used to having home care, treated me with dignity and made me feel at ease. They were flexible to care needs and often went over and above to make sure I had everything I needed. Thank you for your help and I would definitely recommend your service and come to you again if I needed.
My husband was diagnosed with dementia in December 2021. In Home Care went out of their way to support both me and my husband at short notice. We have been given good quality care delivered with kindness and compassion, plus the office team have gone the extra mile in ensuring we have the best care required. I find I can phone them with any concerns, and they always make me feel like I am talking to an extended member of my family, which reduces my stress considerably. I, therefore, would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who may be seeking similar help.
All aspects of the care given to my mum are excellent. The carers are kind, caring, efficient and helpful. Nothing is ever too much trouble and the staff go over and above their normal caring duties to ensure Mum is happy and contented. They liaise with her GP when needed, take her to hospital appointments and always keep me informed of her well-being. The management team replies to my emails 24/7. There is nothing that I would criticise. Thank you for everything.
