View Full Details of Right at Home (Aylesbury Vale and Chiltern)All of the carers are delivering a first rate service. They think on their feet when needed and genuinely seem to have mums best interests at heart. Mum loves them and is very happy with them all. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Right at Home to others.
RAH has provided care for my 93-year-old mum for over 2 years. Initially, they set out to preserve her independence at home following a fall. Over time, her physical and mental health began to deteriorate and RAH was able to adapt the care provided to meet her personal needs. The service was innovative and flexible whilst remaining sensitive and personal. RAH provided consistency and frequently the same couple of individual carers would visit Mum at home on a regular basis. The result was that both Mum and the family could develop a trusting and understanding relationship. RAH was always approachable and responsive as needs changed or if the situation required it. For example, Mum became upset about the approach an individual carer had taken with her and RAH involved the family in a review which improved practice. RAH instigated regular and comprehensive care reviews which all parties found very helpful. Mum made good connections with her caregivers and we are pleased we chose RAH.
We were a little apprehensive at first as my husband is quite a private person and doesn't like his privacy invaded. He also wasn't quite sure about not having the same person every day but soon got used to the idea. All the ladies who have been have been kind and considerate of his needs also an anaesthetic at his age is quite a shock to the system especially if you haven't experienced one before. I would thoroughly recommend Right at Home to anybody I know needing care at any time.
We have used the services of Right at Home from January to July 2024. A carer has come twice a week to give my mother personal care. My mother suffers from Alzheimer's and we were concerned that she would be resistant to this help. However, the manager and carers consistently provided my mum with kindness and compassion. She enjoyed the carer's visits and the chats that they had. They were sensitive to her ups and downs and she felt safe with them. It was also nice for my husband and I to have some respite and the carers were always compassionate towards us too.
Right at Home has been a life changer for my Mum, I live 2 hours away and they have been so kind and professional. Today I rang at short notice mid-bank holiday weekend for some urgent support for my Mum and they were there within 30 minutes - quite extraordinary, many thanks to the manager and the team and especially the lady today - you are my Easter stars!
I don't think I could have managed my life, in fact, I know I couldn't without the carer's wonderful support.
Right at Home has provided incredibly flexible and responsive support for our parents. They have trained staff to meet their specific needs. When my dad has been hospitalised on numerous occasions, the manager was available at all hours and at the weekend to arrange increased help for my mum. Staff have been very caring, and even dropped in later in the day, after their shift was over, to check in when things have been difficult. We are very grateful for all their help.
My husband at 92 years of age sadly passed away in early December this year. Before that, we had received honest, heartfelt care from Right at Home helping us to cope with everyday requirements and we got to know the carers, their personalities, and their genuine caring spirit which we are grateful for.
I have been so grateful for the support given to me by Right at Home since very unsympathetic treatment in my home after a pelvic fracture in January and then resulting in partial hip replacement. The help has meant I can continue living at home and when necessary, visit local shops with them. Right at Home was the only agency with a five-star rating that has produced at care.
We have been using Right at Home for a number of years and have been very satisfied with the level of service and the carers that have been provided. We would recommend.
The care plan was well-researched and thorough. Communication is very good, and queries and requests are responded to and actioned very quickly. The carers are considerate, kind, helpful and generous. They treat my husband with dignity, care and empathy. They are cheerful, efficient, do not rush him and take time to know him. They are exceedingly patient. It is hard to have to accept help, but they have made it much easier than I expected.
The managing director and his team have supported my mother in sickness and health, consistently providing kindness as well as care and going out of their way to look after her needs. They have been professional, reliable and good humoured, greatly exceeding my expectations. I am most grateful.
Right at Home have been providing care for my mother daily for the last eighteen months. They are extremely reliable and efficient. They always contact me immediately to let me know of any problems etc. My family and I are all very happy with the service we receive and that gives us peace of mind as my sisters, brother and I all live some considerable distance from our mother.
All the carers were very good and the support we got from Right at Home was fantastic, so a big thank you to the managing director and the team for looking after Mum so well.
Mum is very happy with her carers and it's great for her to have different people to talk to and companionship that the family are unable to meet. She quite often prefers them to help her rather than her family who are not trained in nursing.
When I came out of hospital after a hip replacement, they came in and helped shower me cand clean the house. They were so supportive and encouraging with a smile. Thank you all.
For over a year the Managing Director and his team at Right At Home Aylesbury have been looking after dad and his home during what has been a very difficult time for him and the family. They made it possible for him to remain in his own home which was so very important following the death of his wife. Quite simply the family would not have coped without them. The carers were patient, thoughtful, and understanding, and during the last few weeks increasingly needed to carry out very awkward tasks. It's difficult to single out any one specific carer but I would like to say a special thank you to his main carer who frequently went above and beyond the call of duty. A truly caring carer.
The support we have had from the carers and management team has been amazing. My mother was very reluctant to accept care but all the staff worked to gain her trust and support her to stay in her own home with both patience and kindness. I really feel that they have treated her as if she was their own beloved relative. They were also very flexible in adapting the level of care and support depending upon my availability and holidays which was a huge help to me personally. I thoroughly recommend their service.
Right at Home Aylesbury have been providing home care for my elderly mother who has dementia. All the carers have been uniformly excellent and I could not be more grateful or recommend this service more highly. Look no further.
I think my overall rating of the service is good. However, the direct observation of interaction with each of the carers has been more limited, due to my location, in comparison to my sister and brother-in-law. Set up and ongoing management of the service has been generally excellent and very responsive to my mother's changing circumstances and needs since June 2022. However, I have some reservations about rating the staff above 'satisfactory' at present, as I have perceived quite a significant turnover of different carers, of variable experience/quality, over the 4-5 months. This is probably attributable to the current pressures on the social care sector and staff recruitment/retention challenges nationally than to the Right at Home service and working conditions. I would simply comment that some carers have proved more experienced and proactive on the job than others (who tend to wait to be asked or told to undertake certain tasks, rather than seeking out what needs doing).
