View Full Details of Helping Hands Home Care (Rothwell)I was struggling to cope on my own and desperate for helping to keep Mum well cared for in her own environment. I came across Helping Hands and they were a real lifeline for both me and Mum. Mum and I were apprehensive about getting help but we had no need to be, as soon as we were introduced to the staff we felt we were in good hands. The ladies who take care of Mum are very kind and considerate. They do an amazing job and we are very grateful for the help and support.
As Mum is not able to speak for herself, I can only say that my experience with Helping Hands has been very positive. The carers, without exception, have been kind, considerate and patient. At times she has been very ill, but I think due to their support and care, she pulls through. I could not ask for more.
My husband and I were very pleased to have (word of mouth) about Helping Hands as old age and his dementia progresses. I am wife of 57 years and cvarer to him with my own mobility issues (strokes and fractures. He is on oxygen, four heart bypasses at 50 and many other medical needs to attribute the nurses most days for dressing. However Helping Hands staff come and give him a good shower/shaving once a week. Which he appreciates and their expertise is welcomed. If we need more help from Helping Hands we know it is there.
I find your care helpful, very kind and I really enjoy the visits and look forward to them.
We have been using these care services for almost a year now, and the great help and support they provide is a huge reassurance for us, the family. They have lovely carers who really make a difference.
The team have always been so helpful since we began to use the service. Contacting the branch is easy with the phone answered promptly. Everyone goes out of their way to help and answer questions. Having the rota of who is planned to visit is really helpful and gives Dad an idea of who is coming/continuity. The response to restarting Dad’s visits recently earlier than planned was fantastic, giving us peace of mind. We also appreciate the team endeavouring to support earlier visits to facilitate hospital appointments.
The best thing we ever did was choose Helping Hands to care for my Uncle. The exceptional coordinators and the wonderful girls who care for my Uncle are truly amazing. I have noticed such a difference in my Uncle's mood and general well-being since we switched to Helping Hands. They are very professional in all they do and most of all very caring. They have encouraged and succeeded in helping my Uncle to do things that he was finding difficult to do. Just this week on one of their visits my Uncle was very breathless. They rang his GP without hesitation and the coordinator informed me straight away. They really do go above and beyond. From recommending things to entertain my Uncle to making him really lovely plates of food. At last, I can be confident that all my Uncles needs are been met.
Both carers were friendly, sociable and very helpful.
