View Full Details of Helping Hands Home Care (Widnes)Helping Hands Home Care have been caring for my 96 year old Mum, who has dementia, for nearly 2 years. Without their excellent care she would not have been able to continue to live at home. To begin with, my Mum was a little apprehensive about having people coming into her home, but the carers are lovely and friendly and she quickly became comfortable with them. My Mum's needs have increased during this time and Helping Hands have always responded quickly to her changing needs. I am very happy with the service that they provide and have no hesitation in recommending them.
Where do I start...My dad didn't want anyone going in his house (he is 90 years old), very much against it. Now he totally looks forward to the carers coming. The carers are so good with him and treat him as if he is one of their own I really didn't think it would go well, but now I can relax a little knowing he is in safe hands. The girls that come out to him are absolutely outstanding in my opinion, they do an amazing job and deserve a pat on the back. Would certainly recommend it! Thank you Helping Hands
Helping hands have been caring for my son for over 2 years now, we have care for 6 hours during the day plus a bedtime call. The carers my son has are truly amazing, wonderful human beings who make sure my son is happy and comfortable and all his personal care is done just how he likes it. They keep him upbeat and have a great laugh during their time here or comfort him if needed, they take time to make a difference in his day. The new manager is a credit to the company and I know the Widnes branch is in good hands she looks after the carers while the carers look after our loved ones and because they genuinely care this job can be emotional for them too! I have high standards and want the best care for my son, that is what we get! All the carers are angels who have big hearts I can’t thank them enough for all their hard work each day.
Having complex needs means that I require many hours of care throughout the day and calls in the evening/night. These calls include personal care, giving medication and companionship. So finding a good care company was essential, that's where Helping Hands comes into this. Helping Hands is an excellent care company, the staff who come out to help with my care are very caring, helpful, kind, funny and very good at their job. I couldn't ask for more and I'm very grateful to Helping Hands for training and providing the amazing girls who come to care for me. I have an amazing relationship with a few of the staff. The management is also very good and happy to help with any questions or concerns in which I may have. I was also very fortunate to have the opportunity to go on a bucket list trip to America, on which I went with two of the most amazing carers from Helping Hands. Even when I was in America my care was second to none and I couldn't have done it without them. I 100% recommend HH Care!
They care. Simple as that. We have been with helping hands for a few months now and have no complaints. The app is great to keep up with how things are going on a daily basis. Also the requests we have put in place can be seen that they’ve been done. Definitely recommend.
The staff were all very professional and responsive regularly keeping me updated regarding any concerns or issues. They were polite, helpful and related well to my father and could often make him laugh. Several of the staff were truly outstanding. My father enjoyed their visits and enjoyed a good relationship with them. The manager ensured everything ran smoothly and was very proactive.
Since I moved to Widnes Helping Hands from another branch I have been extremely impressed with their professionalism and their dedication to provide an exceptional service. The managerial staff go above and beyond to make sure I'm happy, keep in regular contact with rotas and notify me quickly of any changes and I feel that their client's satisfaction and wellbeing is a priority. The carers I've had have been polite, kind, friendly, lovely hard working ladies who are there to help with my every need and they always brighten my day when they come.I feel that they really care about me and are not just doing their job. I am so happy with my new office. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing care. Thank you.
Helping Hands widnes look after my brother he is my world and I would love to Thank everyone who is involved in my brothers care. I can honestly say with all my heart that I have never met a care service like this. The carers who see my brother on a day to day basis, well what can I say, only amazing. I never thought I would be able to trust someone else to look after my brother the way I used to be able to and then these beautiful angelic carers, not only do they impress me with the way they care for my brother, my brother absolutely adores these girls. It melts my heart every time I see how he looks at them and how much he looks forward to seeing them every day. On the 12th not only did all the girls come to wish him a happy birthday but all the management and office staff also came out to wish my brother a happy birthday what more can you ask for, for your family member there is nothing they won't do for you and your family member.
I contacted Helping Hands Home Care, the manager and her team late February 2022 to see if they had capacity to take Mum on their books. The manager and a staff member came to my mum and dads home talked us through the package and how we could adapt it. They were brilliant, my mum has Dementia and had just had a stroke but Dad was in denial and thought everything was going to be normal again. Convincing dad to have carers was very difficult as he really didn’t want anyone in the house. After the first week, I can tell you Dad is really happy with the girls that arrive twice a day for Mum and also Mum is happy. They encourage my mum to have a wash and get dressed every day which she wasn’t doing they are lovely and really understanding to her condition very dignified. I would definitely recommend Helping Hands as this has been a great deal of help to us and has taken a lot of pressure off me as dealing with a dementia patient is not easy and needs a lot of time and patience to encourage her to do things.
Helping Hands Home Care has surpassed all our expectations. They have provided the support Dad needs, with a personal touch and a genuine interest for his well-being. Having done their homework on Dad’s life history, the carers have a great rapport with him, and to Dad every visit is like a friend dropping by. They understand his dementia and have been alert to changes in his condition. Through excellent communication and timely feedback, we have been able to agree amendments to Dad’s support package. We are fully satisfied with Helping Hands Home Care as we know Dad is well cared for, receiving first-class support, perfectly complementing the care being provided by the family. Helping Hands has been our saviour, as they have rid us of the stress and concern heaped upon us by our previous care provider who provided a less than satisfactory service. We admire the professionalism of all the carers and the management team, especially his main carer who has gone above and beyond. Thank you Helping Hands.
Sitting service. Helping Hands Home Care (Widnes) management fully understand and are very sympathetic towards the needs of Mum and are very supportive towards the family. Carer very kind, patient and even had Mum laughing which rarely happens these days due to her mixed dementia. They had no problem accommodating the days and times we needed.
My Uncle has been in receipt of care from Helping Hands Home Care (Widnes) for some time now and is delighted with the care and attention that he receives. He is an elderly gentleman who lives by himself, he looks forward to a call from a friendly and caring person. They take him to appointments, help with shopping and manage his affairs. Also, they help with the preparation of meals, light housework and washing clothes. Due to work commitments Helping Hands cannot always send the same person, however on every occasion he has been pleased with the replacement. I have no hesitation in promoting them as a first class service, as his next of kin they always keep me updated with any issues.
Mum transferred from the Warrington branch to the Widnes branch in September 2021. She was never keen on the idea of receiving help and support in her own home so we knew the transition would be tricky. However, from the outset, the whole team have worked flexibly, from the organisation of the rota, to adapting her care plan, to communicating regularly with us about her and any changes we needed to know of. The team who support her are very caring, kind, enthusiastic and proactive in their help around the house and attending to her needs. One member is outstanding in her care for our mum. They always keep us very well informed. The manager acts and cares for Mum above and beyond our expectations. She is excellent in her role. We would highly recommend Helping Hands Home Care (Widnes).
From a very low point in August mum has improved dramatically and continues to. Visits are on time which is very important to my mum as she gets anxious about medication. More than the standard service of medication removal from drug safe and cleaning, excellent rapport has been established. Mum was adamant she neither wanted nor needed help at home. She now looks forward to and enjoys her visits.
My Grandads absolutely loves the care he receives from everyone at Helping Hands Home Care. They are by far the best care company we have ever used. We are very lucky as a family to have such a lovely relationship with the speech and language therapy team and carers. Thank you for all you do for us.
Cannot thank Helping Hands enough, they care for my mum on a regular basis and they easily build rapport with her, make her comfortable, and their experience in dementia is incredibly valuable. They also make my dad comfortable while they are there to care for my mum. Any small problems that have occurred have been rectified swiftly. My mum loves one particular carer and Helping Hands have been able to accommodate us in our request of her coming to see my mum on a more regular basis. Would recommend Helping Hands to anyone else in our position.
The care we receive for our mum is outstanding, she is very well cared for and treated with the utmost dignity. The communication with the team is excellent they constantly keep us updated. All of the staff at Helping Hands are exceptional and nothing is too much trouble for them. Mum really looks forward to their visits and they have made a huge difference to her life. We cannot recommend Helping Hands highly enough thank you all for your support and care.
I have been extremely satisfied with the service. The staff are very professional and friendly, go above and beyond the call of duty. The staff bonded with my aunt immediately, this gave me peace of mind. Staff adapted quickly to the ongoing changes in my aunt's care, dealing with everything in a calm, polite manner.
To be really honest these people really cared and although we only used them for a few months I would highly recommend their services. My mum and dad felt comfortable with the staff and even my dad who could be difficult was happy to see the staff.
The care coordinator from Helping Hands and her team met with our family member and family during a very difficult time. With lots of change happening which was quite different to what our family member had experienced before. From initial introductions, the care coordinator and her colleagues have conducted themselves respectfully and professionally in their role. They have demonstrated patience and insight into the needs of our family member and how as a family unit home life needs to be which is flexible and personalised. They have ‘blended’ well into the family unit keeping our family member's needs at the centre of their focus with dignity and attentiveness. They have also worked hard to establish a support plan and time that wraps around the existing evening routine again promoting a personalised approach. The carers are kind, approachable, friendly and communicate with our family members with genuine interest as to the person they are. Whilst only recent introduction we are very pleased so far.
