View Full Details of Excel Care ServicesMy mum became bedridden so I was unable to care for her on my own. She had Alzheimer’s/vascular dementia. Having worked in care for more than thirty years, and cared for my mum for seven years, it was hard to hand over the reins. But, Excel's carers were so kind, lovely and caring, not only to Mum, but the family as well. They made it possible for Mum to stay at home, which was her wish. They all were lovely, caring individuals and I will be forever grateful to them.
Excel provide round-the-clock live-in care for my parents, both of whom have dementia. My mother is bed-bound with advanced Alzheimer’s, my father is newly diagnosed and thanks to Excel’s support they are able to continue living together in their own home which is so important to them. The live-in carers provide excellent care, giving us peace of mind that Mum and dad are well looked after. They are capable, caring, understanding and they’ve brought kindness and laughter with them. The service is very professionally run and very easy to deal with at a difficult time. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Excel.
I cannot thank you enough for the support that was given to my dad. All members of staff gave continuity of care to my dad. They delivered what they said they would do and without them, we could not have given my dad his wishes to remain at home. They were a support not only to my dad but to us as a family. They were professional, fun, and joyful at a time that was needed. They maintained my dad's dignity. Thank you.
My father needed care after a long spell in hospital and my brother and I can’t believe how fortunate we are to have found Excel Care. They are all excellent and look after our elderly dad with extreme kindness and an efficiency that goes far beyond what I expected. They are brilliant in all aspects of care and obviously trained to a very high standard. My dad likes them all very much and they really cheer him up on days when he feels a bit down. They deal with everything in a calm professional and dignified way but also with a lot of laughter. I would recommend Excel Care 100%. I feel so lucky to have them care for my dad.
Excel Care Services have and continue to treat my mum with exceptional care and dignity. Excellent communication with everything answered in a timely manner. The staff are proactive at all times, extremely kind, patient, and empathetic, and really put my mum at ease. The staff have an infectious positive upbeat outlook that really makes a difference and certainly lifts both my mum's and my spirits regularly. They routinely go beyond what I would expect them to do - these often may just seem like small things to them, but they add up to make a big difference in difficult circumstances. I would highly recommend Excel Care Services.
Following the death of my mother, I returned home from overseas and discovered how serious my dad's dementia was. I needed help, both for my own sanity and so that dad could have some days out. We got a visit from the manager and dad instantly liked talking with her, he really liked her big friendly smile - he remembered that smile. She helped him with showering, taking him to have a haircut, to the podiatrist, and generally helping him to get ready for mum's funeral. She even came on the morning of the funeral to help him be smartly dressed. The other carer was great at making sure dad had good days out, taking him for walks at the coast, walks up the royal mile, and pub lunches, giving him a quality day out. After 2 weeks I had found a care home for dad and Excel helped with taking dad both for the initial visit and with moving him in. I can never thank them enough for all the help they provided. I would highly recommend them.
