View Full Details of Willow Wood Care LtdBeware of this company completely misleading the care manager comes in, promises that care workers will do everything. As soon as they start care workers are going in for 15 mins walking back out and yet they are charging my friend 45 mins. They do very little work most of them are foreign so it is difficult to understand what they are saying and my friend found it very difficult to communicate with the staff. At the moment waiting for the company to provide me with a list timings when each care worker has gone in and what jobs they have done. There is no folder everything is done electronic. I would recommend if people are looking in to home care they choose another provider. I have had to stop them twice from going to look after my friend as we are not happy with their services.
I would like to thank everyone at Willow Wood that have been involved with my 87 year old mother's care. When she was discharged from hospital, we realised that she needed assistance, as Mum needed some personal care which was not appropriate for me to administer. The proprietor came out to do an initial assessment and took into account my mum's wishes and needs. The staff are friendly and efficient, in an ideal world it would have been nice to have the same staff allocated but this isn't possible. Mum has got to the stage now where she is able to do her morning routine independently, which is thanks to all the carers that have been involved in her rehabilitation. I would highly recommend Willow Wood for your care needs. Lovely people who do care.
As a 20 year old having young carers is important for me; and they brighten my day and make me laugh while still maintaining a professional state. The staff are so kind, caring and supportive. While I've been a client of this company I've felt my care and needs have been taken seriously and I honestly hope I can stay with its company while I need them.
The manager at Willow Wood Care provided a care package for my mother in the months before her declining health determined the need to move from her own home into a nursing home. My mother's needs were always the priority, and her own preferences were always taken into account when planning the care package. The manager and the team encouraged Mum's independence and were respectful, encouraging and brightened Mum's day when she was no longer able to leave her home. The team were unfailingly honest, punctual and happy to provide a range of care services. The manager's personal commitment often went beyond all reasonable expectations from a professional service of this nature, and our family will always be grateful to her.
A thorough home and needs assessment pre-surgery by the proprietor who is the most empathetic wonderful soul. I am a lone female in my late 50s and wanted support to cover all post-surgery eventualities. She liaised with the hospital to coordinate my discharge and care needs which is so valuable when you are in a vulnerable condition. I had 2 visits a day with 2 weeks care with a maximum of three punctual beautiful female carers as requested, mainly the same one. My care needs fortunately turned out to be basic but they were always very obliging with my varying assistance requests. Interim phone checks and a lovely heartfelt post-care call. Such a reassurance and recovery aid to have this wonderful care in place. I would certainly call upon Willow Wood again should I require competent backup during any illness or future surgery.
All I can say is I don't know where I would have been without them!! They stepped in at such short notice to help me look after my mum when she was released from hospital, all the staff including management are lovely, will do anything they can to help make things easier, and make their care package so catered to the individual! Willow Wood also look after my son who is 20 years old! They literally catered for both him at 20 and my mum at 72! Giving each what they required and going above and beyond stepping in when I couldn't manage. Thanks so much for your help and I would definitely recommend.
I've been very pleased with how much care and dignity my nanny has been shown by the team at Willow Wood Care. When Nanny has needed medical attention they have been brilliant at chasing up the doctors to ensure that Nanny gets seen quickly which is a massive weight off my mind to know that they care about Nanny's health as well as assisting with needs such as personal care and preparing meals.
I have really started to make progress in my health, thanks to the Willow Wood care team. They have always been polite and freely engage in conversation with myself. The team are always punctual and if I do have any other appointments that would impact on arrival time, they are happy to accommodate my visits. Overall, I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude and appreciation for the care I receive.
After a serious break on my right leg and two weeks in hospital, I was finally discharged with a care package to support me and my family. I must say, I was a little apprehensive for many reasons. However, I realised it was very much needed having been confined to one room, requiring help for toilet needs and being unable to do simple tasks such as making a cup of tea (never mind making a meal). The team arrived and I was instantly put at ease by the manager, who introduced herself and her team that would be with me for the duration. Overall, I have received a high quality of care. The team are very professional, helpful, respectful and very supportive in so many ways; sharing their observations on the smallest improvements on my mobility or lifting my mood on the days I feel a little low and not forgetting chocolates, flowers and a card for my birthday. One very happy and lucky service user. My care continues until my mobility and independence returns. Willow Wood Care are amazing.
Willow Wood's services are directly supporting Mum with several half-hour care visits each week and at the same time giving Dad those small breaks from her full-time care. The carers are flexible in the type of help they'll provide and Mum really enjoys their visits. The management is incredibly supportive and has indicated that they'll be able to accommodate a short-term change to the existing care plan when Dad goes into hospital for an operation, during which time Mum will have to go into a care home. We're hoping that Willow Wood's care visits can temporarily switch over to Dad once he's out of the hospital, to help him get back on his feet and get Mum back home as quickly as possible. How wonderful that the care staff have asked if they could be allowed to visit Mum in the care home, no charge, but purely because they are carers who really care and have formed a genuine bond. We really couldn't ask for more.
Could not ask for better carers for my nan, they all go above and beyond to make sure my nan's needs are completely met. All of the care workers have been so genuine. The manager really does make sure she provides the best top-quality care.
As a family, we class ourselves as extremely lucky to have found Willow Wood Care. We were at crisis point with my Father's care needs, and the support, care and attention to detail we have received has been and continues to be second to none. We have very high standards as a family and were entering into this next phase of my Father's care with extreme caution and worry, expecting to have to make sacrifices regarding the levels of care that we were going to receive from an external supplier, but that has not been the case at all. They respect the fact that they are a visitor in your home, they listen to how things have worked in the past and offer suggestions and tips from their experience to help going forward, along with offering support for the immediate family. They have a great bedside manner and show a great deal of empathy, but most importantly they deliver without dehumanising the patient, which is very important for us as a family.
Willow Wood Care has been amazing with my husband and they have kept him out of hospital since December. He is fine with the carer and trainee, they provide excellent customer care and they are doing an excellent job with my husband.
