View Full Details of GoodOaks Homecare - Dorchester and WeymouthMostly very satisfactory. Difficulty in getting a rota. Most carers very helpful to me.
Very comforting to have their support and to know someone is coming to give their services and help where required.
We have been with GoodOaks Homecare for over six months now and are more than happy with our care.
I started to use GoodOaks Care about a year ago when I came out of hospital after a bad fall. I had not used a carer before and was a bit worried but need not have been. From the start they have been lovely and in particular, I appreciate that usually it is the same couple of carers at approximately the same time. They are very capable and nothing is too much trouble. I now count them as friends and look forward to their visits.
Recommended to us when we needed to start home care and it is easy to see why. In talking to the carers and other clients it is apparent that they are the best locally. All the carers are pleasant, competent and willing to tackle jobs that are outside the usual course of things. Even regular, everyday jobs like bed making and washing up, make a great difference having somebody to do them and having someone from outside to speak to makes a big difference to life.
Management and staff spend time to understand my wife's care needs and take an interest in her personal circumstances and well-being in general. Happy to support team where flexibility is required for unplanned events as good communication of issues.
Lovely carers, Good continuity, which helps with relationship building and continuity of care. Always happy to accommodate changes and listen to concerns.
My wife was well cared for by the carers from GoodOaks. They were all friendly, compassionate, reliable and competent. Some of them have become friends. A well run and professional company.
In September, my mum (89) was discharged from hospital (after a fall resulting in several fractures) looking very ill and frail. We had help from a rehab team for two weeks, but needed to find help quickly. GoodOaks were the first of several agencies to arrive and were understanding, helpful and reassuring. I decided to give them a go. Well, I have not needed to pursue any others because GoodOaks have been as good as their word; punctual, kept to three carers (all professional, capable and fun) and most of all much liked by my mum!
We were recommended GoodOaks Homecare by a friend of a friend and so far 5 weeks into my dad's care have no complaints. Everyone has been professional and caring during this phase of getting to know my father. We are aware of the journey ahead with dementia, it takes a lot of patience and understanding, which we hope GoodOaks will be there for to help during this important part of my dad's life.
GoodOaks Homecare has been fantastic throughout a most difficult time with regard to my father's Alzheimer's dementia, following my mother's death. I cannot praise and thank them (especially one carer in particular and the managerial staff too) enough, they have been receptive and caring to the point they feel like family members. I cannot thank them enough!
GoodOaks Homecare provides lovely continuity of care - the same few faces, which really makes a difference to Dad and his experience. It also provides peace of mind for me. Nothing is too much trouble and every carer goes to lengths to make sure Dad and I are happy with his care.
We are pleased that we have GoodOaks Homecare to supply the care my wife needs. She has special needs, not least of which is the immense and sharp pain she experiences every time she moves her right hip. The hip needs to be replaced but consultants and doctors believe an operation is not possible because the risk/benefit ratio is too high. The high standard of nearly all of the carers is such that I, the client's husband and carer, can relax totally whilst he or she is here. This is true in almost every case, were it always true, I would have rated overall experience, care and support and staff as excellent.
All the staff have become like friends. I needed company more than care as I returned home after one month in a care home. All were very willing and helpful.
The care has been very professional and to a high standard. The staff are very professional and polite. I would recommend their services to any potential customer.
Excellent service.
It was a pleasure to have the live-in carer for my mum. The carer was extremely experienced, diligent and thorough in all aspects of her care, which meant my mum received the best care possible. Nothing was too much trouble for our carer, even during stressful experiences and it's no exaggeration to say we couldn't have managed without her expertise, professionalism and sense of humour. We wish her well and wouldn't hesitate to employ her again.
Very good service.
We have found GoodOaks to be an excellent service from the start. Our only criticism is that sometimes our times allocated are rather late in the morning. When between 9 o'clock and 10 o'clock it means that we are not waiting all morning to get showered and dressed.
I am very pleased, nice carers.
