View Full Details of Global Caring GloucesterMy husband came home from the hospital on the 19th of December 2024. The carers were there the next day. At 8.00 am as they said they would be. All of them were very respectful and caring of my husband. He had been diagnosed with very deep depression after his hip replacement and covid. They talked to him and showered him. Noticed an infection in his groin and sorted all that was needed. I really cannot praise them enough, for they gave him his dignity back, also the confidence to talk again. We will be looking into having one come in once a week, to assist him showering. Just to say, He will shower in between. He just feels they give him a good all-over shower. Thanks again to all who came.
Very consistent and considered carers. The APP gave reassurance and details of daily activity and care. Very kind and gentle carers talked to Mum patiently and reassured her all of the time. Very reliable and trustworthy.
We have had the Global Care team from Gloucester provide care and support at home for my 94-year-old mother for over 4 months now. The service they provide has been excellent. The team are first class, very caring, very polite and very smart. They attend to all my mother's needs four times per day, in a consistent and professional manner. They keep our family fully updated on a regular basis and advise us of any problems that arise or any specific observations regarding my mother's health needs. A really excellent service provided by a great team... Well done Global Care and thank you.
After leaving a hospital stay that had been horrendous, I was finally able to get my 90-year-old father home to spend his final days in his own bed. Dad was in a bad way and traumatised by his hospital stay, went into hospital relatively okay and all skin intact and mentally very aware, however, this was not how he came home. I had never heard of the company, despite Dad having care for a fair few years being wheelchair bound totally. He was put on an initial 4 visits a day and one overnight stay every night. The carers were very polite and caring and looked after Dad so well despite Dad being pretty aggressive as he was on palliative care until he passed on 27:3:24. They were smartly dressed in navy uniform and wore full safety gloves etc. It was mainly personal care alongside nurses, gp. Professional in their work and Dad had a good death with his family around him. The team we had were the same few people, a male and female at each visit who really did care. I would certainly recommend. Thanks.
The carers that have been helping me have been efficient. There are sometimes language difficulties that are overcome by signing and pointing. I have not needed the calls at midday or afternoon. The first call of the day is the most useful, although they do not let me do some things I can do for myself. I am aware that they have a short time. Always polite and helpfully aware of my needs.
Generally very good service, very caring.
It seems to be going well. I'm unwell (Fibromyalgia, complex PTSD).
Mum is happy with the carers. She said they are lovely and respectful.
The service I receive is fine, but I find it difficult to understand what they can or cannot do. Apart from above, everything else is great.
No issues. Everything is good.
Has been positive so far. I've had the same carer, which is important to me. She's been kind and respectful.
Very good.
I have had marvellous help and support over the years, long may it continue! Thank you so much to everyone concerned, I am so lucky to have you all.
I have had carers for some time, and, overall, I have had very good service from them, though some carers have been much better than others. Some carers have come too early, causing inconvenience. Others have come too late on days when I asked them to come earlier. Some carers have done everything I asked them to do, while others have just done whatever they wanted to do.
This non-caring company was assigned to care for my mother-in-law on Fri 16/12/2022 (she is a lady of 83 years at home to be cared for in her remaining time as she has terminal cancer. She also came home with hospital acquired Covid and pneumonia meaning that she needs the best care possible). It is now 19/12/2022. They have only turned up 1 of 3 mornings! She was left for a total of 21 hours without any carers. When they come in the middle of the day and evening they are only there for 5-10 minutes and do the bare minimum. Carers speak in a foreign language in front of the patient and family. They do not communicate properly with the patient. If this is the level of care this company gives then where is the comfort, dignity and help required for this time in her life? I had to go and help with what was needed (imagination required) this morning even though I am quite unwell with Covid. Altogether it has been a very traumatic and upsetting experience for the patient and her family. Avoid these carers!
We as a family have had the most unfortunate experience of allocation of this firm to my 85-year-old mother who is a Dementia sufferer. Clocking in time is shocking, my Mother is having to sit on her bed from 7.00-8.35 am waiting, her morning slot is 7 am. No courtesy call to explain why they are late, I have had to contact the Manager on each occasion to be told various excuses which simply do not comply with the Carers version of events. Her breakfast consists of cake and chicken? Incorrect medication administered on several occasions. Medication found on the floor. My Mother sleeps in a downstairs bedroom yet the main large window is left wide open. Is security not an issue? Tea time is 4 pm, clocking in is 2.55 pm? The minimum stay is ten minutes doing as least as possible. If you care for your family member, avoid this firm at all costs!
