View Full Details of Visiting Angels North ShropshireI am extremely grateful to the Angels for the excellent care given to my sister over the last 6 months. She has been very poorly and without their help she would not have been able to stay in her own home, which she so much wanted to do. Communication between managers and staff and between the staff themselves is excellent and the key to the quality of service provided. The staff feel cared for and supported by the managers. I can't praise the service enough.
Just to let you know that Dad was really positive about how things went this morning, his first morning with you, so a big thank you to all the team for that. It's a huge weight off our shoulders knowing that he is happy with the care provided.
We started using Visiting Angels North Shropshire in June 2024 when my 96-year-old mother needed extra help at home following a fall, which resulted in a broken hip. She wanted to be able to stay in her own home and live independently and the Angels help her to do that. She'd never had any sort of care support so it was a big change for her to allow people into her home. But now, my mum has really formed a bond with many of the Angels. The office team are very good at keeping us up to date with who will be looking after my mum each week. They visit for an hour each day to provide her with a hot lunch and do a few chores that she struggles with. It's a great service. We investigated a few local care firms but in our opinion, Visiting Angels are the best fit for my mum.
I would like to say from our very first meeting with the registered manager we as a family were impressed, grateful and so relieved, the care and compassion all Angels showed my aunt was over and above what we expected. Will always be so very grateful to them and would highly recommend Angels. As a retired nurse I could see all staff were caring and observant of my aunt's needs.
From the first contact with Visiting Angels on the telephone I felt that this company would be perfect to care for my father for the last months of his life. They certainly are all Angels - from the management and office staff to all the amazing carers. Dad was bed-bound from April 2024 until he died in October and during that time he was treated with such dignity and compassion, that nothing was ever too much trouble. The carers got to know Dad's interests and would enjoy chatting to him about his hobbies, reading to him and playing music. They were quick to notice any medical issues which were always relayed to the office and dealt with immediately. They were also mindful of how my sister and I were coping with the situation and always a huge support to us too. It was so comforting to know that Dad was receiving the best possible care and was incredibly fond of everyone who looked after him. I genuinely cannot praise this company highly enough and would recommend them wholeheartedly.
I have a mother who needs home care! This is not my first experience with finding good home care but l live abroad and have limited time to find a solution! One staff member of Visiting Angels was wonderful! She answered all my concerns and put my mother at ease, as prior to this visit was not cooperating! Then came the first visit, the staff member introduced us to another staff member and now my mother is very happy! Thank you both.
Whenever you look for extra support caring for someone, you hope for individuals who show genuine care, who demonstrate compassion and understanding and who can empathise with their clients. It also requires 100% reliability and first-class communication in both directions. Having carers in your home is a delicate balancing act to manage responsibilities and accountability without ever allowing the level of care to drop. It is very difficult to achieve but Visiting Angels has managed it brilliantly with my mother for the last eighteen months of her life. The quality of their staff is exemplary, the care they provided was consistently first class - and genuine, and they proved that we could rely on them absolutely. Quite simply, this is how adult social care should be done; many, governments included, could learn a lot from this organisation. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
I have nothing but praise for this service and would recommend them to all our friends, having already done so on several occasions.
My Dad was always treated with respect, kindness and compassion. Visiting Angels would go above and beyond for Dad including the simple things like bringing him an ice cream on a hot day and sitting and talking to him. This is only a small token, it goes a long way when you have a terminally ill family member who lives alone. All the angels would also take time to get to know our family and know what was happening at various times eg, family visiting or staying and would take an interest. My Dad also taught various carers how to boil a duck egg something we all found quite funny at the time, but important to Dad. They also cared for Jack, Dad's labrador which meant they could stay living together. Honestly, all were excellent carers and this was demonstrated right up to and including the day he passed away, we were all treated with compassion and sensitivity this is something you can't learn they all have it.
My mother had used the services of Visiting Angels for the last year after her last provider let us down. She received 3 care visits per week. She was never once let down! On occasions, the carers arrived earlier than planned but this was never a problem. The carers were always lovely and were willing to do anything that she asked of them. She had quite a few different carers over the last year but she never had a bad word to say about any of them. From a family point of view, it was a relief knowing that she had a reliable team of carers tending to her. She has recently entered long-term care so we no longer require care visits. I would highly recommend Visiting Angels.
During the period December 2023 to April 2024, I experienced serious dental problems caused by an abscess which in turn led to me having five teeth (the last of my own) extracted and this left me unable to use my existing denture. I was living on soup, rice pudding and yoghurt. I received exceptional care and empathy from every Angel who visited me. They all went way beyond their remit. From the youngest to the 'more mature' the quality of their training was evident. At 93 years of age and not in the best of health I cannot praise Visiting Angels enough. Good communication, any query dealt with and answered and above all - genuine care.
I cannot praise Visiting Angels enough. They were so kind and caring in my partner's last few months. Caring for a terminally ill person at home can be pretty daunting but they helped make life so much easier and always created a lovely atmosphere on their visits. Thank you Visiting Angels!
We are very pleased with the care my nan is receiving from Visiting Angels, she has built a lovely relationship with two members of staff in particular that visit her regularly. I would highly recommend Visiting Angels as a care provider. I also know some employees and I'm impressed at the care they give to their employees too. They also take time to be involved in the local community events.
A great team of carers, who do 'exactly what it says on the tin' - they care. Always friendly, flexible and understanding with a sometimes difficult dementia patient who doesn't always appreciate their good intentions!
Excellent care and support from Visiting Angels. They were really kind and helpful in Mum's last days. Would thoroughly recommend when you need care and looking after. Special thanks to all the team who came and looked after her. Above and beyond, we could even contact them at the weekend. Five stars!
Each carer was individual and different - but all were courteous, respectful, helpful and proactive when required. They all treated my father with compassion and care. Also - all respectful of me and supportive in a very difficult time. I would highly recommend Visiting Angels as a company.
