Unfortunately the carers do not carry out their tasks correctly, cleanliness is lacking and trying for 3 weeks to get a call back from the coordinator was fruitless. Finally got a call back from the Branch Manager after contacting head office to be talked down to, refused to let me speak freely and said they were too busy to speak and call takers would deal with problems. Unfortunately all I ever got from the call centre was that they would pass the information over to the coordinator and she would call me back.
We have been with this care provider for nearly a year now and have been very pleased with the service provided. My mum's carers have been friendly, very caring and professional. They look after my mum's needs perfectly. Her main weekly carers are excellent, as are her weekend ones as well. Sometimes the carers have been changed without notice, but it is easily sorted with a phone call. The office staff are friendly and happy to help. Thank you all for a wonderful service.
Ive needed extra care for my husband which has been dealt with very well and has enabled me to go away for a few days.
Overall very happy. One or two carers did not seem to know what to do, or how to prepare food. Regular carers are excellent.
The carers treat my Mum very well and with dignity. I am very pleased with the service they provide Mum looks forward to their visits. They are well mannered, polite and easy to get on with management is also good and can be contacted by phone to address any queries or problems all day long and also have an out of hours service. Hartwig Care Ltd is 60% good. I enjoy my weekday care and I am quite pleased with the service.
Carers always greet me with a smile when they arrive and are always polite. They do my breakfast and lunch, as I have poor mobility and can't carry anything, they bring my food in on a tray. Make me cold drinks and put them in fridge and take my rubbish to put in the bin. I wash and dress myself so I haven't needed personal care. I appreciate the support I've been given. Carers spend a lot of time on the phone filling in their report.
Some carers can tend to have an attitude, don't listen when say the bag isn't changed/situated properly. Full quota of two carers doesn't always turn up for a visit. The changing of pads is done well.
Up to May the 22nd the service I have received is good. Very helpful and always very obliging if anything needs doing. The carers I have are very cheerful and are a pleasure to see every day. I can't complain really about anything. I am well satisfied.
Now that my mum has a carer who spends time understanding, knows how my mum responds. Also just interacting with her, and knowing my mum's needs is reassuring. We're very happy with the care my mum is providing and given. A particular member of staff is great.

Overall satisfied but lately worried that relief carers are not performing as expected in the care of my mother. I'd arranged with Hartwig that the allocated time caring for my mother would be increased from 30 mins to 45 min as requested by my mother's normal carer, unfortunately, the stand-by carers only seem to be managing 20 minutes at most and not providing adequate care. My mother's personal hygiene has now deteriorated and her eating habits are getting worrying as she is not being monitored hence finding nearly whole meals in the rubbish uneaten.
Care provided is to a good standard. Offer my father good treatment and treat him with dignity. Look out for his best interests. Always report back any concerns. Hygiene to a good level, ensuring he is kept well-presented.
